todd: 2020 was a difficult year but as we look to the near it is worth remembering the good that came from the year. joining us on new year's eve, pastor robert jeffers. imagine where you are going. what do you mean by that? >> for navigational apps to work you have to plug in a destination. you have to know where you're going or you will end up someplace else. after the pain of 2020 it is a good time to reevaluate what you feel your purposes in life and secondly i talk about reevaluating how you are going to get there. you make the wrong turn, you start recalculating how you will get where you're going. you may be headed in the right direction but maybe after 2020,

they looked at 1700 cases and showed this very and is 70% more transmissible meaning it will spread faster but it didn't show an increase in hospitalization or death and didn't see an increased risk of reinfection so that is all good news but ultimately it means it may be harder to contain this virus that we are ready heaven contained spread. we have to consider and mask wearing, encouraging people to get vaccine. jillian: there have been tight restrictions in new york and governor cuomo gives the blessing to let 7000 fans inside buffalo bill stadium for the playoffs. i say this with this in mind, the stadium is located in erie county. we interviewed a restaurant owner in erie county, they shut

down for indoor dining. they are going to the next county to eat. people are struggling and now being told you will let 7000 fans into a stadium, why can't we open and do our business safely. what is your opinion on this situation? >> there is always a safe way to continue businesses whether it is dining, sports events, a lockdown party, just as anti-scientist anti-mask wearing. i wholeheartedly agree if governor cuomo wants to be the first to do this pilot program for the nfl maybe he should focus on pilot programs for safe ways to continue dining. when school goes back in session in january he better be doing a pilot program to make sure his children in his state get back

have you heard many people say president trump has changed the face of the republican party. now we are seeing people within the party saying yes to the $2,000. we are seeing people say no to the $2,000. what is the republican party going to be and what is going to happen with this? >> i don't think the republican party is hinging on what happens with stimulus checks. right now at least what i'm hearing in georgia and my district in particular are concerns over election security and the fact that if we lose the security in the elections, then we lose our republic. that is not the case with the stimulus checks. so people want to make sure first and foremost that their votes count and there is no doubt that the president has changed the face of the republican party. people want to keep that agenda moving forward. and hopefully we will be able to continue doing that. i have no doubt the president is still going to be very much a movie e. mother of an movier an.

this race from the stimulus checks. people understand we're in the fight of our lives for our country as it relates to socialism vs. freedoms and liberty and limited government. those are the concerns at least on our side of this election, not the stimulus checks. so, the stimulus checks, to me, are a side issue. as it relates to the impact that that will have on this election in faye. jillian: with millions of people having already voted in georgia, we saw what happened with the presidential election, the people who voted early typically favored democrats. how do you get republicans to come out next week on election day? what is your message to the people of georgia who are watching right now? >> well, we are, again, this is the biggest fight in the history of our country. this is going to determine the political philosophy that will drive our nation. it will either be socialism and greater government control over our lives or it will be individual liberty and limited government. that is the issue. and that is the fire that puts

the energy behind this election. i believe the people of faye understand that and certainly the nation understands that. and so i encourage people with everything i have got to get out and vote and get others to do the same. todd: congressman, 30 seconds remaining georgia republicans saying the there are going to be will thousand poll watchers there the day of the election. critics say poll watchers are there to intimidate. how do you respond to that? >> listen, we saw tremendous fraud in the last election in november. and there is agencies all over the place. one of the key issues that will help put that to rest is more eyes out there. i think it's a good modify to have transbe (is i and have people watching to make sure this election is secure. that puts everyone at rest, the fact that their vote will be, indeed, count. i think that's a good move. jillian: okay, congressman jody hicet we will be watching as the
