tv Watters World FOX News January 2, 2021 8:00pm-9:00pm PST
8:00 pm
can see me giving personal advised. they are strange things going on at my house. she got her.com. thanks joe concha and rick larsen and catherine phenomenal and tyrus but i'm greg gutfeld. i love you america. happy new yo "watters' world." i'm dan bongino in for jesse watters. the control of the senate hangs in the bam in one state, georgia. no candidate got more than 50% of the vote on november 3. here is senator perdue. >> kelly loeffler and i are leaving it all on the field.
8:01 pm
the eyes of the state are on kelly loeffler and me to hold the line against the radical socialist agenda the democrats seem to be bent on. dan: if either republican wins, the gop will take control of the senate. butf either of the two lose, it will be 50-50 with vice president kamala harris as the deciding vote. let's find out what's really at stake. south carolina senator tim scott joins me now. welcome. thanks for joining the show. one of the things that frightens me is kamala harris as the tie-breaking vote. we have the potential to lose
8:02 pm
everything we fought for. and we'll almost no ability whatsoever given the new rules of the senate to block controversial confirmations. i am sure this concerns you, too. >> you could not have said it better. this is everything we fought for the last four years. president trump standing in the center of the fire himself. we could lose it all if we don't show up on tuesday. president trump made it possible for this country to have the most inclusive economy in my lifetime. he made it possible that we have the most conservative judiciary of all times. we owe it to our past four years and the future that we win in 2021, starting on january 5, this tuesday coming. it's more consequential than anything we have seen in our lifetime from a political
8:03 pm
perspective. the socialist nightmare comes real wednesday morning if we lose. the great opportunity society continues throughout 2021 if we win. it's that black and white. dan: senator, i want to reemphasize this point. depending on what happens january 6, we could lose two branches of government. no matter what happens in the disputed house races, we still won't have control. we are not according to the results, we are not going to get control of the house no matter what happens. if we lose this and kamala harris is the tie-breaking vote. they will have the white house and the senate. you could be looking at bernie sanders as the treasury secretary. >> dan, you got that right, man. we have to win tuesday.
8:04 pm
having bernie sanders write the budget for the united states of america? putting elizabeth warren in charge of consumer protection on the banking committee? having senator hirono being in charge on 9 jew dish -- on the judiciary committee on the constitution? it's everything we won and fought for. i know you made plenty of money and you don't mind paying $4 trillion in higher taxes. dan: i'm totally with you. i want to get your opinion on the final question. i think the republican party and i think you would agree, we have done a terrible job. when you talk to minority voters
8:05 pm
instead of using democratic party stereo types. mostly conservative. the trump economy was most powerful and most effective for minority voters. atlanta has a large black and hispanic population. we are all going to lose that. >> to your point. because of president trump and his policies, there is no question we had the lowest on record unemployment rate for blacks, for hispanics, for asians. you want more of that, not less of that. we continue president trump's legacy into another 2 to 4 years because it works. what we know about the democrats, it doesn't work. we have got to win on tuesday.
8:06 pm
dan: senator, thanks so much for your time. reexpect what you are doing up there fighting the good fight. joining us next is sean duffy and jason chaffetz. former congressman duffy, i'll go to you first about georgia. what happened in georgia, there is a lot of questions about it. we just had it this week a ruling by stacey abrams sister who is a judge who ruled that unbelievably if you fill out -- this is not a joke -- if you fill out a form with the postal service saying you moved, that that's not a reliable indicator that you don't live in georgia, and you can cast a provisional ballot in georgia. what's going on down there? >> i can't believe it. there are 4,000 voters whose
8:07 pm
names should have been purged because they indicated they left the state. stacey abrams sister the judge says we are not going to purge them. the same thing happened to us in wisconsin, dan. the overnight board of our elections wouldn't purge or voter rolls either. this is a setup for rigging elections. you will have to win by 2 or 3 points to undo the cheating. dan: former congressman coma get, now -- congressman chaffetz, now colleague at fox. this case was filed by mark e lirks as. it's the old fusion gps guy. if you fill out a postal service change address form saying i am
8:08 pm
moving. that's probably a good indicator you moved out of the state and shouldn't vote there. what am i missing? >> you are hitting it spot on. democrats call it voter suppression. republicans are saying it's a legal, lawful vote. don't send my mail here because i'm not there, i'm in other states. but i'm going to request an absentee ballot because i don't live there. you have got to be kidding me. why are we've arguing about this. it's regular and common practice pore states to look at who moved to another state through the postal service. but in georgia, democrats are yelling and screaming voter suppression. they are the only ones who should be voting in georgia.
8:09 pm
>> what's outrageous here is stacey abrams sister who is a judge didn't recuse herself. she didn't, and kept those votes in play. dan: can you imagine don trump, jr. ruling on a federal trump case? everybody vote. voter suppression is a terrible thing. is there going to be fraud? there is always fraud. the question is how much. that's not an excuse not to vote. i ran in an election in marriedland where there were d in maryland where there were allegations of fraud. but it didn't stop me. what's at stake if we lose these two seats. it's not a joke.
8:10 pm
>> ossoff in 2012 sent a tweet out to encourage his followers to get their news from the chinese media source. then warnock who is accused of being a wife beater from his wife. and a scandal of not reporting child abuse from the camp he runs. and he invited castro to come to his church and gave castro a standing ovation. he's a communist, not even a socialist. he will make aoc look like a moderate. dan: trump and other republicans are calling for larger stimulus checks and less wasteful spending. you wonder how the wasteful spending gets in the bills in the first place. >> there is one way to do it.
8:11 pm
you do a budget. then you have the approach yaitio --the appropriation commo through the process and offer an amendment. if you think it's bad with nancy pelosi having the gavel, can you imagine she and chuck schumer having the gavel? she never pretends to do a budget and you get this disaster in there. that's what they do en masse because they would never pass by themselves. dan: i think the general public is fed up, completely fed up with congress. right? when washington relinquished power after the revolutionary war. king george said if this is true, this could be the best man
8:12 pm
alive. we want to spend money on diversity programs in nepal. we don't have the money. >> i'm critical of both republicans and democrats. because the republicans have lost the mantel of fiscal discipline with no hope in sight. >> where is the tea party revolution? there is no money. we are in negative money. >> dan, it's just a matter of time before america caves on its own debt burden. this is catastrophic for our future. they pile on debt and open up their drawers and file in all this legislation. donald trump is right. we should be focused on america.
8:13 pm
i don't give a darn about pakistan and these other countries. take care of america first. we could deal with this if we had a surplus in our budget. but we don't, we are borrowing it from china. dan: jason, sean, thanks for joining us. the fight against the coronavirus continues in 2021. dave port now steps into "watters' world." raising millions of dollars for people across the country. so you want to make the best burger ever? then make it!

[♪] dan: november 2020 claimed over 69,000 american lives. according to the covid tracking project, it you are paced april. but with more vaccines getting approved from the fda, what can we expect. dr. nicole saphier, it has been. what concerns me, is science dead here, doc? we are practicing things like lockdowns that seem to have really terrible results. i live in the state of fal -- of florida that is generally not
8:19 pm
locked down. you see other states locked down completely with exploding hospital rates and infections. are we seriously analyzing this or is it a political debate. >> it seems like we are chasing our tails with covid-19. in march we had it in a targeted area of the country in the northeast and to a lesser extent, the northwest. what happened when we did th the-week pause? everyone got out of dodge and started traveling everywhere else. unfortunately, dan, we are having to do things a little too late. you have these cases in california. you see the hospitals are completely full. the icus are nearing zero capacity so now they are having to lock down because they are in panic mode. had they taken some measures
8:20 pm
beforehand we wouldn't have to do this. it's not about the draconian measures shuttering businesses. it's what people are choosing to do in the comfort of their own home. that's where the cases are spreading. it's not going out to eat or even going to the gym. it's about people congregating indoors inside their own house with people outside their household. dan: one guest out of stanford suggests the lockdowns aren't working not because social distancing doesn't work. but they are not working because we are not really locking down. people still have to eat so they go to the supermarket. teenagers congregate with their friend and bring the virus home. wash our hands be works.
8:21 pm
is this being viewed through a political lens or scientific lens? we seem to keep doing the same malicious things to people, bankrupting them while not looking at the results. >> the entire industrial research project has been focused. if we looked at clinical research we could have looked at how many people infected are ai am poematic. we didn't get the answered early. so opinions powered in when we told people to stay home, we should have told them to be outside. when we told them to wash their hand, we should have told them to wear masks. if you look at pilots having a
8:22 pm
lower infection rate than society, that speaks to the data. thanks, we really appreciate it. what's in store for democrats in want to sell the best burger in every zip code? add an employee. or ten... then easily and automatically pay your team and file payroll taxes. that means... world domination! or just the west side. run payroll in less than five minutes with intuit quickbooks.

jackie ibanez finau back to "watters' world." have a good night. world." dan: president-elect joe biden has made quite a few promises of what he will do in the first 100 days of his presidency. >> i will repeal the trump tax cut, i will end the muslim ban. >> we'll rejoin the paris climate accord. that's another thing we are work on from day one. as part of the hundred-day challenge i will be asking the american people to wear makes for the first 100 days of on you administration. dan: he's planning to get rid of tax cuts for the wealthy and get rid of unjustified loopholes in our tax coat.
8:28 pm
joining me is austin goolsby. one of the things that bothers me about the proclamation made by mr. biden. he's going to repeal the trump tax cuts only for the wealthy. but the trump tax cuts cut taxes for the middle class. before i came on, the trump tax cuts cut the middle tax rates to 22% within and below the middle class from 15 to 12%. is he going to repeal those, too? >> he said from the beginning he will leave the ones at the bottom, and he will repeal the 85% of the costs of the tax cuts
8:29 pm
that went to the top people. he has to get legislation to do that. that's not one of the executive orders. but he's been clear about that from the beginning. dan: austin, you know i respect you, but that's not accurate. he may have later cleared that up. but that's not true. he has not been clear from the beginning. he said multiple times is he's going to repeal the trump tax cuts. he said from the start as well, well, trump never cut taxes for the middle class. you can't have it both ways. either you are going to preserve the middle class tax cuts or trump didn't cut taxed for the middle class. so did trump cut taxed for the middle class? >> you said two things that were the same thing. he believes -- joe biden
8:30 pm
believes there were no tax cuts for the middle class and said he would get rid of all the trump tax cuts. dan: but there are. i just gave you the numbers. >> the details are written down as to exactly which parts of the tax cuts he's going to repeal. dan: you are telling me the middle class tax brackets were not cut from 25 to 22 percent? >> the overall tax bill for anybody making more than $400,000. no one's tax will go up. dan: that was a clever diversion. but i encourage everyone to look it up online. >> the overall, some middle class people, some taxes will go

[♪] dan: businesses have been decimated all over the country as coronavirus lockdown orders cause businesses to shut their doors longer than expected.
8:36 pm
but the founder of bar stool sports, dave portnoy, is raising money for them. >> after this, i have no more money. >> that's what we are looking for. we want to help out. >> that's unbelievable. i am speechless. >> it's going to help so much. dan: he launched the 30-day fund for small businesses impacted by covid-19. he donated $500,000 of his own money, and donations are $10 million and counting. dave, it's an honor to talk to
8:37 pm
you. you are a doer. and i have to tell you, what you have done, and the video on your social media channel are life change. what gave you the idea to do this? >> you just said the difference between doing and talking. i was talking a lot. bar stool is a small business i worked two decades building. the lockdown and corona struck around year 10 when we were on the edge, i would have lost my life's work. the businesses are playing by the governor's rules, and this felt like a death toll. the ranting and raving. and i donated the money and
8:38 pm
asked for my audience. i have been able to make it 22 rich friends on barstool. and that's how it came about. it's really positive. i think a lot of it is the videos. i think we are one of the first people to put a face to the despair and the mom and pop shops being devastated. you can see way it's doing to their lives and their livelihoods. dan: i have been following your videos. the one with the older gentleman in the clothing shop with the daughter taking the video. if you haven't seen this, and you doubt the power of change people's lives by action. you talk sports. you have a thick skin. even you looked choked up. and you hang with big cat and the other guy. i was kind of shocked, you got
8:39 pm
touched by that one. >> yeah. we started doing that in the very first business. it just so happened, they are a huge fan of dave and barstool. they said why don't you call them to give them the good news. i didn't record it. but when i saw it, i thought this is magic. we have to start recording these. so that was spurring donations. it is touching. you don't realize these people are suffering, they feel forgotten, and they need help. it's like a huge weight has been lifted from their shoulders and they see the face on the other side. dan: i need your pizza videos.
8:40 pm
they used to get me through bad days. thanks for doing, not talking. you have been a real hero tomorrow. god bless you, brother. 2020 was another year of evidence on how biased the mainstream media is in this country. we need a referee to give us the facts, and we need fairness in our culture. but the media will not be fair. it's unfair that this manifests in every aspect of our culture including our response to the coronavirus and medicine. they praise and give awards to the governors in democrat states that are failures. they don't want to contain the virus with its own voice. might was china that came to the
8:41 pm
rescue, sending medical personnel, sending pallets of ventilators and tens of thousands of masks. china attacks in the he demic heart of wuhan. they built two hospitals with 2,000 beds? two weeks. wuhan china is open again. midnight light show, skyscrapers lit up with the words hello, wuhan. >> from china to hunter biden, media bias was object full display in 2020. here to discuss more is former white house chief of staff reince priebus. your take on the reporting of the coronavirus so far. >> i was in san diego for a few days. and what the governor has done
8:42 pm
there is unbelievable. and people have bought into the hysteria as well. i think it's real. you have to be careful. but what happened in this country and the government overreach into people's lives. we have to warn people of the dangers and make sure they are informed. but after that they have to make their own decisions. i was thinking about when you were going through this. i was thinking through the first couple days of the trump presidency. if you recall, something we forgot all about. within the first hour of the donald trump presidency, the associated press announced that he had removed the mlk bust from the oval office. dan: totally made up. >> that's how it started. we were in a mad scramble. and i remember taking a picture of it with my iphone to tweet
8:43 pm
it out. we would have had a huge problem if that were the case. dan: the picture was evidence. but they are not interested in that. i want to get one more on the coronavirus. this is the most repulsive. i think you will agree. making politics out of the untimely deaths of people and use their deaths whether it be herman cain or the tragic passion of the congressman elect in louisiana. and:blue checkmark media people using that as an opportunity not to express prayers, thoughts, condolences, but to use it in a sick way to take shots. can you imagine the families of these people reading this stuff? i find this to be the most grotesque component of the coverage of the coronavirus. >>it is disgusting, dan.
8:44 pm
unfortunately in some places in the media, division is profit, and unity is a loser. dividing people and going to these dark places that exploit the worst situation, unfortunately become profit, and these media outlets choose profit, and that's why you see this stuff happening. and it happens in politics. division is a loser -- division is profit and unity is a loser. dan: it's all click-bait. check this out. >> we do know that it's a classic example of the right-wing media machine. talking about biden personal corruption. most those charges unverified. >> charges so heinous i'm not even going to say them.
8:45 pm
>> this conspiracy theory about hunter biden. he talks about conspiracy theories about joe biden and his son hunter. >> it looks like your classic disinformation campaign. >> they knew who the big guy was. it's note a conspiracy. they had his business partner on the air. >> they said paul ma paul manafs meeting with julian assange. and don, jr. had special access to wikileaks. and emails from trump directing michael cohen to lie to congress. dan: what about michael cohen being in prague? that never happened either. all great examples. thanks a lot. i appreciate your time.
8:46 pm
8:50 pm
dan: the year is officially year, 2021. in the world there will be a lot of changes. once joe biden gets sworn in. sean duffy, i'll go to you first. what do you predict for 2021? >> my crystal ball tells you you will have a continued cognitive decline by joe biden by the end of 2021 and kamala harris will be the president and the media will fail to continue to report on joe biden and all his missteps and horrible policies. dan: it's sad. but i agree on your first part and second part. but i can't agree with you more. i don't think this is getting any better. jason. what have you got. what's coming up in 2021? >> the media will start their
8:51 pm
four years of napping covering the job -- the joe biden administration. i don't think nancy pelosi has the votes to be speaker. she will probably squeak out. but the last thing i woulde wou, illegal immigration will begin to run rampant again. donald trump put a tamper on this. but the way the democrats will run things, it will be a magnet like it's never been before. we'll have people continue to pour across our borders causing chaos. dan: the current rules expire january 3 about voting remotely. she may have trouble getting people back to vote for her.
8:52 pm
>> i have got to try to order two of anything. i love fries and mcdonald's. burger king. i used to get away with it. but i can't do that anymore. no two anything. i have got to look up more and enjoy time and life without the phone. dan: i have got the captain's chair from jesse. i go for two. you earned it once a week. but i get where you are going. sean, what's your resolution for the new year? eat three of everything? >> i'm going classic. i have to work out more. by the end of 2021 i want to look more like dan bongino, fit and tough and less like jason chaffetz. dan: maybe i ought to take one
8:53 pm
of those pictures like geraldo. here is my recommendation. you look great. you and rachel both. >> only one steak. dan: i can't say on one adult soda. we'll leave that for a another time on a later version of this show. last call when jesse asked people their new year's resolutions. jesse: what is the biggest mistake you made in 016. mistake you made in 016. >> not watching youououououage . and mine's unlisted. try boost® high protein... -with 20 grams of protein for muscle health- -versus only 16 grams in ensure® high protein. and now enjoy boost® high protein in café mocha flavor.

jesse: two ts. dan: that's all for tonight. "justice with judge jeanine" is up next. [♪] judge jeanine: happy new year and welcome to the first year of "justice" this year 2021. i'm judge jeanine pirro. we have a packed show, but first my opening. it may be a new year, but i'm not so sure much has changed from 48 hours ago. the left's hypocrisy continues to know no bounds. january 6 when the electoral college vote will be formally counted is just a few days away. how much do you even know about january 6 and the congressional mechanism in place?
