executive branch is a deranged, unhinged, dangerous president of the united states. that there should be prosecution against him. >> well, i gather that the 25th amendment is off the table. >> no, it isn't, nothing's off the table. >> laura: the political establishment's answer to all opposition is to demonize and ultimately silence their critics. put them in jail if they could. they claim that they are worried about violence and unrest, but their muted reaction to last summer's burnings and leadings and before that their toleration of public threats and harassment of political opponents. well, it shows its all a fraud. the reason they want to shut down opposing speech and they want to demonize millions of you is because they want total and absolute power without ever having to defend their policy.

trump one. the establishment then did not just hate him for it, they tried to destroy him for it. at times, of course, the president gave his critics you push openings and we called him out on the unforced errors. most of them involve tone and not substance. but the anger and dissolution on both sides isn't going away on january 20th. they're burning and rioting in baltimore, ferguson when obama was in office. antifa has been raging in portland this week they've been raging but you wouldn't know that. remember, the vaccine urging people to confront the trump allies in public places and push them out. where were all the viral videos of trump staffers getting harassed. did they call out those mobs? some in the democratic establishment will have all the power.

all the government under the control once again. they have piles of big money and from big donors. of course they have the help from big tech to support the candidates and squelch speech going forward. they have media to carry the message. let's see what they can do with all that power. recent history shows that the establishment basically had five major problems. number one, the stupid. this is not the establishment of john kennedy, these days establishment types spend a lot more time working out than reading books. their knowledge of thomas jefferson comes from the play "hamilton." knowledge of middle america comes from watching roseanne reruns. knowledge of china comes from pro-china forces. >> not a dictator? >> he is a constituency to

president trump could never beat hillary clinton. >> this man has got some momentum and we better be ready for the fact that he will be leading the republican ticket. >> laura: wrong. they didn't foresee the rise of china, didn't foresee the housing bubble, the housing crisis, the internet bubble. the rise of populism, brexit, the harmful effect of government lockdown. they have been wrong over and over and over again in almost every major issue. if they want to be successful, they have to start holding themselves accountable for their mistakes. number three, they are corrupt. jefferson died on the verge of bankruptcy. hamilton died leaving behind huge debt. those days are gone. the plan these days is to come to d.c., do the people's business, for a while, and then cash in.

home. if they want to make a difference, try harder to win on the merit and stop focusing on trying to silence their enemies. number five, they despise the working class. it's not just their views that they hate. it is the people themselves. >> trump has been a disaster. i worry about even more something like somebody for million people voted for him. >> there's going to be a reckoning. >> the rest of the country is in need, it's what we really need d to fix. >> i believe they have blood on their hands and no one should forget that. >> laura: of course, this disdain comes from the media too. abc news political director rick klein writing this week getting rid of trump is the easy part. cleansing the movement he commands more getting rid of what he represents to so many americans will be something else.

that ended up driving more people to trump and sent public frustration and anger. where were these people back in 2011? or during the repeated assault on the federal courthouse over the summer? where was the democrat establishment? this is how democrats condemned the blm riots. >> the protesters aren't mobs, their mothers, veterans, mayors. we've seen mothers, veterans who were peacefully protesting, not threatening the federal courthouse. >> the vast majority of protesters were peaceful. >> there were some people who had strong feelings. >> laura: note to self, only blm and antifa are allowed to have strong feelings and create mayhem. the government made it hard. you have to actually care about the people you serve.

trump ended up growing his support among minority groups because his policies worked for them. not just for that tech barons on wall street, they got rich, but worked for everybody. the establishment types, biden and his team, romney, murkowski, they should be spending their time figuring out how to avoid all the mistakes that drove middle-class voters away in the first place. that will require accepting the fact that the vast majority of people who voted for trump did so not just because they wanted to storm the capitol, they did sell because they love their country. the political violence and unrest of the past year can't be tolerated and must be prosecut prosecuted. if government tacitly supports one group's actions over the other, it is only going to guarantee more unhappy voters. and then, the establishment, who are they going to blame?

that "angle." joining now, dinesh desousa, conservative mother and filmmaker, starting on monday. i can't help but think that biden's promise of healing uni unity, it's erratic and all dissent. >> what we have seen today is horrific and in a sense puts the country into a kind of free fa free fall. it's one thing to face disappointment, but it's another thing to see all the technologies that people of integrated into their normal lives, ways they can information and ways they communicate with their friends, ways they express themselves politically. these are going to be somehow snuffed out and close to them and this is being done in a systematic way, not with the president of the united states banned permanently from the platforms but also against ordinary citizens trying to speak out. i can't think of a more horrific

development. once the elections over, it can make your political opposition feel safe and believe that the new government will represent their interests as well as the interest of the people who voted for that government. the biden administration and the left is doing exactly the opposite. they are terrifying the opposition into believing ultimately that not only will they have lost politically, but their basic civil liberties are immortal endangered. >> laura: but do they not see that this is going to backfire? this never works. it feels good in the moment like you have the wind at your back. but ultimately, it will grow the mongo movement. that movement of people, it's not like they're going to say you banned me from twitter, i'm definitely going to be on your side now. >> no question that the mega movement will find its own outlet and there's no question that it will ultimately find its

voice. when i think is disturbing here is the mentality of the other side. there's a certain jubilation on the left, they're providing lists of people to be banned next. i think all of this is showing that you've got all these people in our country who do not believe in basic civil liberties and they are powerful positions in tech and in media, so on. all this means is that ultimately, the maga movement has defined its own educational institutions, cultural institutions, comedians, make its own movies, own schools, because we are not going to be safe. it doesn't seem in biden's america. >> laura: cnn's ryan salter was positively giddy today over the news. >> this is a movement in silicon valley history as well as a moment in political histo history. significance all around the world, so many world leaders use twitter to communicate.
