he'd help the country and his presidency by calling off the house but let me start with you. do you think the incoming administration should take any of that the heart? >> juan: sure. i think everyone is taking at the heart. you have to think about it because it also impacts the biotin agenda. he wants to get things done and will this impede the ability of the congress to act? "the first 100 days" and all that. what strikes me is even today, the president takes no responsibility for his actions. he doesn't seem to have any sense of regret at having incited a mob to riot, to attack the congress of the united states. we are a nation of laws and you have to accept it as either we are a nation of laws or we are not. today, he talks about democrats causing anger, democrats causing pain, democrats creating dangerous divisions. what does he think that his followers here when they hear

that kind of language from him? again, it's like go get those people that you disagree with. so to me, i don't see how anyone could see what he said said tods think forivision and violence me, you have to look at the context. right now, we have over 10,000 national guard in washington, d.c. we have more troops in washington, d.c., than we do in afghanistan. what does that tell you about the greatest terror threat to our country? to me, it's shocking. >> dana: it's good that they're going to be prepared unlike last week when they were prepared, and fbi briefing on that today but we will continue to talk about this impeachment vote. democrats kind of painted themselves into a corner so they want to move forward fast but they also want to move forward slow because they don't want to impede biden's agenda but they also feel like they need to do something quickly because they

think the president should be held to account. that's the point of view. >> jesse: the president is gone in eight days and they don't even have the votes in the senate to convict, so what's the point? the point is just to humiliate him, stigmatize him, and put republicans in the house and senate on the defensive. i feel like joe biden's failing his first leadership test. he should just be telling nancy and chuck to knock it off, unite the country, and let's move forward with vaccinating the nation. does he really want to impeach the guy he just beat? does he want an impeachment trial during a pandemic in his first 100 days after running on unity? does he want to pull off the most divisive and most politically partisan maneuver, impeachment in the u.s. political system? and how are you going to impeach a guy who's on the golf course? it literally doesn't make any sense, so i can only think of three reasons why.

the democratic party needs a boogie man. trump was a great bogeyman. and with him gone, where is that energy going to go? probably going to go from the left and direct that joe biden for not governing left enough, so let's keep him around for another 100 days and let's use him as an emotional punching bag rated number two, fund raising. donald trump is the best fund-raiser for the democrats ever. you mention his name and people start writing checks. he keep that happening for the next three months, you keep the money flowing. and this is the media strategy. you have the media hundred% of it focused on donald trump, on impeachment, and on this huge mob scene at the capitol for the next 100 days, it takes a lot of pressure off joe. joe was old, weak, didn't campaign very hard. he won by not campaigning. he doesn't want the attention, he doesn't want the media looking at him in his personal

agenda. he wants it focused on donald trump so i think that's what's really going on here. >> dana: you know whe i love it when you bring a list so i can keep track of it. brian kilmeade, your thoughts today? to make things changed a little bit over the last hour, looks like "the new york times" reporting that he is pleased the democrats are moving ahead with impeachment talk and eager -- it looks like he wants trump out of the party. i think the only thing i would mend to what you're saying is it's all true they fund-raiser off it, it's all true they need someone to run against. republicans use nancy pelosi and a president plays into it because he really feels as though he did nothing wrong. but it's the call to action to walk over to capital that was different but if mitch mcconnell is not against urging a donald trump and when he was asked by joe biden

very, very bad for our country and that's a leading others to do the same thing. >> jesse: now corporate america is following the big tech by trying to cripple conservatives. if company is specifically calling out republicans and suspending political donations after last week's events inll t. how big of a threat to republican fund-raising and the ability for them to muster back the house on the senate in 2022 is this corporate onslaught right now? >> dana: still remains to be seen of course. only been about five days that you've had these corporations saying that so it depends on how long it would last. some of the company said we are going to take a pause here in the first quarter and then we will reassess. i think it will become pretty clear that if you want to have influence in washington, you have to pay to play a little bit. however, there are two things happening. one of the things were democrats were good at on the

that caught up to some extent is on that small dollar fund-raising from grassroots. so the democrats have a thing called act to blue, republicans have when the red and you might get text messages at home this saying can you send $10 today to help this candidate or that candidate and a hit like a clearinghouse of sorts when that money gets put into the pockets of those campaigns. president trump himself is pretty good at that, right? their campaign is pretty good at spend $20 here and $20 there. after the republicans actually have that kind of a pole without president trump when it comes to small grassroots fund-raising and if they don't have that they don't have the corporate donations, then they might be in for a world of hurt. when it comes to the platforms, i would just say one thing. parler might've left some stuff up on their site that they shouldn't have, but i'm not sure that d flat forming is the right thing.

what about improving the platform? if these companies that host apps like parler and others have a problem, could they say hear ththe five things we need you to do before the end of the day. could you do these five things for us? we will help you. is there a way to figure out how to improve the platforms, not just take them away. >> jesse: i think parler filed a bunch of lawsuits earlier today, what do you think is going to happen there? do you think they'll get any traction with that? >> brian: jonathan turley said something really discouraging. i don't know if anybody has the money to outlast these major companies, and that blows me away. i know people with small donations can bolster the little guy in a situation like this but suppose they just keep putting it off, have these hearings, where is the investment money going to go? people get frustrated. you saw them saying we are going to be up there. his just a matter of time before

some come away. i think this thing that happened on friday, saturday, sunday with the takedown of the president and parlor back-to-back, the takedown of so many followers who evidently were scary to people on twitter suddenly, i'm glad the stock dropped. i heard it bounce back a little bit as well, but this is saying we have the ball. we have the power, there's nothing you can do about it, you might not like it. the best thing that could happen is kevin mccarthy now is to show that the houses vulnerable, put out some solid candidates very impressive retired veterans to go in there to some vulnerable seats and say we are poised to take back the house. if do you still to alienate us? if we get into, we have a way of getting some redemption on you. they doesn't seem like a smart move long term. prior to the inauguration, i'm not sure now. i think a lot of people are alarmed. >> jesse: do you think any of

these multinational tech companies -- are they going to be tamed in any way? i don't see biden doing that. i think they are going to have free reign for the next four years it looks like. >> dagen: they are acting like that, no repercussions, but i will point out that at the house judiciary subcommittee run by democrats just a few months ago wrote a report, 450 page report that concluded amazon, facebook, apple, and google have monopoly power and should be split. so maybe these tech monopolies screwed up because they've shown they are following the will of their rank-and-file workers. it they are censoring people they disagree with, but what they've shown is they will not only censor individual thought. they will wipe an entire platform off the planet, which

is a competitor, and this is the situation that these companies are in. it if you have used amazon web hosting, they don't like you, they can get rid of you. if you use google's ad service to serve ads to your conservative web site, they can d platform you and put you out of business if they want to, and i just want to know, you can't overstate the platform of these tech monopolies based on what we've seen so far and this went on for years. republicans let it happen. it's free markets, cheap products and then democrats let it happen because these liberal companies were finding their campaigns, but think about this. where does it stop? you ever bought a hat or a trump flag? amazon knows about it. are they going to stop you from buying products on its site? are they going to pull the plug on your business? are they going to keep your kids from getting a job somewhere?

all of these companies, amazon, google, apple, facebook, they know where you been, where you are, where you're going, what you will buy in the future, and as glenn greenwald said, the famous journalist, new weapons do not get used only once. >> jesse: would you like to respond to that? it was your party that did this huge year-long investigation and determined that these big companies are monopolies that engage in anticompetitive practices. does that alarm you at all? >> juan: no. i agree. dana said it yesterday, dagan says it today, these companies are big and in my mind, they have allowed some of these things to happen over the years. they've played footsie with president trump. it will let me just say, i think we are missing the point here. the point is that conservative thought is not being censored. the reason that people -- can i

finish please? the reason they took trump down and took other things down is because it was being used to perpetrate violence of a kind that we saw at the capitol last week. it wasn't banned because it was a platform for conservative thought. it was banned because there was violent activity being perpetrated on that site. that is what we are talking about. no, that is exactly what was cited by these companies to explain it. hang on. if you put up that list of businesses, the reason that those businesses are moving on is not because they don't have conservative leadership and investors it's because they all know that we cannot have business in this country if we have mobs attacking our political leadership, anarchy.

>> brian: mounting pressure across the country to expand in person learning because states are now allowing teachers to get the covid vaccine. but unions across the country notably in cities like chicago have fiercely resisted a return to the classroom. will it end the stalemate to get everyone back in the classroom. teachers will get it starting next week in new york, starts on monday february 28th in colorado. this seems to be good news because kids are not nearly as vulnerable as adults. they get it, they beat it 99.9% of the time, teachers are the issue. why are teachers scrambling to get back to the classrooms?

>> dagen: they have the complete inability to think of the kids first and not themselves and it's disgraceful what is happen with these teachers unions. even mayor bill de blasio said when he starts making sense, look out. he said the safest place in new york city is our public schools. this last week as the cities positivelpositivity rate interes 9%, the schools are well below 1%. over and over, you've heard from the national academy of sciences engineering and medicine, you have to have in person instruction and hurts them, the lack of interaction even get them back in school and put the unions back on their heels. i>> brian: she is parroting the opposition but they don't want to show up coming in.

the infrastructure to even do the remote learning which isn't effective. >> juan: agreed 100%, best to get those kids back in school. you have to be aware of the course of the health but once you start getting the vaccination, what is stopping? the more quickly that people get the vaccination, the better, and the more people that get it, the better. so to me, this is a no-brainer. i understand kids can potentially still be spreaders, but that's not been proven to be a big issue here and what we do know is what you articulated that those kids especially low income kids are the ones who are -- they don't have the support at home if the parents are out working a job or to coming home late. the kids with a computer, is just very difficult. so i think you've got to have a change of attitude. i understand the safety precautions. new york city elementary schools are open. if >> brian: i'm torn.

some of my best friends in the world are teachers and they do such an outstanding job and you don't do it for the money, you do it because you love kids and giving back and that feeling of raising great people and playing a role in that so where do you stand on this? >> dana: i think there are a lot of teachers who want to go back to the classroom, and i think the unions don't represent them well and one of the reasons he was -- remember that lawsuit that said you don't have to give your donations to the union, unions all across the board not just teachers have seen membership fall. one of the things the pandemic has done is expose and given parents print opening to say wait a minute, why do we do it this way if there are other alternatives, why don't we think about those? so it actually could be quite seismic, the changes. i had a guy that said the support for school choice has gone way up and what that basically means is the taxpayer

dollars that you pay for your kid to go to school instead of going to the school district will go to you and you as a parent get to decide what to do with those funds to send kids to whatever school you choose. i think there's going to be a lot more of that. so there might be light at the end of the tunnel in addition to getting these vaccines out. >> brian: and so 90 billion in california to get teachers vaccinated all set to make this covid friendly. this is odd because democratic mayors and governors are taking on unions, they must be saying how did i get here, how do i get out of this? >> jesse: i'm just sick of democratic governors blaming the feds for not vaccinating enough people. states were on their own health care systems. they run medicare and medicaid, they administer pretty much everything when it comes to regulating hospitals, regulating a state hospitals, local hospitals. they have their own health and human services department.

leader, finish the wall, it's paid for, have to pay money to get out of these contracts and lay off people and then turn around to republicans and say i did it, i secured the borders the borders so now this talk about a pathway to citizenship. isn't that leadership, i have time. >> juan: i think it's about 40 t was a total ruse in an attempt to stir up anti-immigrant forever in this country. i think it was. jessie, do you think that biden should continue the cool policy of separating children from their parents? >> jesse: first of all, i think that you told us that there was no border wall, so how could biden stopped construction of a wall that trump never built? it's beyond me, but i'll just tell you this, joe biden's mandate is this big, he ran on one thing, the coronavirus.

if he sticks with tackling the coronavirus, that's fine. if he wades into this left-wing about opening the borders and getting everyone amnesty, that's a pretty big political price for that. common sense tells you during a pandemic when you're checking people across state lines and checking people at airports, you don't let waves of illegal immigrants across the southern border from countries that have very poor health care systems. also, common sense tells you during an economic calamity were small businesses are trying to fix themselves off their feet, you don't introduce a whole wave of cheap labor into the country which is going to drive down wages and tighten the labor market. also, you don't reverse trump's refugee which was very strict and have people coming in from all these dangerous nations and go back to what we saw with biden-obama where we had a lot of domestic terror attacks coming out of a lot of these nations when they let them in.

so if he keeps those things, i'm fine. >> juan: i think comprehensive immigration reform is pretty tough to pass. it hasn't happened. looks to me like biden is focused on coronavirus and economic stimulus. why are people talking about this? >> dagen: he should focus on coronavirus in the 19 million people in this country legally who are collecting unemployment, but what about government health care he said he was in favor of giving to illegal immigrants? given the state of this country and this economy, i don't think that would fly in by the way, president trump was never against and was in favor of a bigger immigration deal and it fell apart. >> juan: all right. so just as dagan mentioned, the dreamers left in limbo as a trump administration leaves office. can it be good policy to give

those kids who did nothing wrong some protection? >> dana: there has been bipartisan agreement on that, just hasn't gotten down and probably because of all the other things that are mentioned here. the fact that joe biden will have a majority of democrats in the senate might help him be able to get a few things done. things on immigration will be reversed immediately and one thing in particular i believe that the state department with the new incoming administration is going to want to keep that relationship with mexico the way it has been the last two years that they've had a good cooperative relationship and keeping people that want to come over to the united states they are in mexico while they wait for their number to come up for a hearing. >> juan: sounds right to me. the fast of seven is up next for you on the five.
