>> that's the focus of tonight's "angle." the obscene move by democrats to militarize washington, d.c. compels me to think ahead about how to best beat these race obsessed pirates going forward. it's time to end the lockdown and reopen washington, d.c. for the american people.o stop the spying on our own citizens. stop using racial smears as weaponsoc against political opponents and trust the people and return to them their god given freedom. for the past year president trump and the republicans have had two priorities. number 1, reopen the country as soon as possible and number 2, provide temporary help to those who needed it.t. operation warp speed was a successful part of that plan. the democrats used covid to hurt the trump administration.

speaker pelosi holding up relief for months before the election. it was a disgusting example. second democrats embraced lockdowns that harm poor and working class americans and small businesses. we at the "angle" opposed this from day 1, going way back to last spring. why are states with far less severe outbreaks run by democratic governors still under lockdowns measures. lockdowns don't work. look at europe if you think they work. a new international study out today proves us right.

third, democrats repeatedly moved the goal post in terms of how long they thought it would take us to get back to normal or whether we would go back to normal ever. we could not do much about these facts during 2020. we warned democratic governors they were doing severe harm to local economies.. d we urged democrats in congress to work with the president on relief bills. now president biden will be going to the hill to respond to the virus. >> protective equipment and ventilation systems. we need $400 billion in funding of congress to make this happen. it's not just a smart fiscal investment. the return in jobs and racial equity will prevent long-term

damage. >> laura: when will the country reopen. biden will avoid that question. biden is with the teacher unions who don't want lockdowns to end before they get a massive payout from the treasury. the republicans must demand he give them specific targets explaining when the country will reopen. how many vaccinations it will take before everyone can go back to school or go to a baseball game or a wedding or throw away all of the masks? they will send out dr. fauci to talk about new virus mutations and scare us about how much worse things will we do if we don't do what biden and dr. fauci says. i do not trust dr. fauci. nothing he tells us going forward can be trusted. i do not trust the democrats. they are comfortable with the lockdowns and zoom classes and government stimulus checks and want them toba continue.

i don't think we have changed the trajectory of the virus at all with anything we are told to edo. they will never let up on this. i tell people use common sense. if you have the disease or been vaccinated. throw yourur mask away and tell dr. fauci to take a leap. they will never let up. there are doctors saying we need to wear the mask in the back seat and wear them forever. that's ridiculous and defies the ayscience. when you have it and you have immunity or you had your second dose of the vaccine throw your mask away and tell these experts to take a flying leap. there is no scientific evidence that the lockdowns changed the trajectory of this virus. >> laura: what happened in washington, d.c. since january 6th with the extremists who went into the capitol. enormously destructive and lives were lost. are you concerned about the size

conference, that's a big problem. i agree completely with that. >> laura: kevin mccarthy is saying he won't remove her. what do you say to him? >> i think there needs to be a secondth vote among conference members to determine whether she says. that's where the conference is. they would like to have another vote. nothing changed. >> laura: and the leadership battle is all about what comes next for the gop house. what about the base who got them elected? joining me is tom bevin. where does the gop base stand on donald trump and what does it mean for leadership? >> well, i will give you one example. there was a story in cincinnati, they did a focus group. 40 trump supporters. they came to a theater and listened to 6 people at the rally on january 6th what they experienced there. he asked the 40 trump supporters, is your support

increasing or the same or less? not a single one of the 40 people supported the president less than before. 40 republican officials across the country all still stood with the president. there is a disconnect of how this is being portrayed. the republican party who support president trump how they are interpreting what happened over the last couple of weeks. >> laura: president trump approval rating at 29%. but we know president bush was in the low 30s for much of that time. >> right. his approval rating dropped in the last 10 days.

later. >> laura: law enforcement challenged this early on saying blake had an open warrant out for arrest and was armed with a knife.e. the liberal politicians including the president and vice-president elect jumped on this narrative and then flamed the flames. they had an election to win. >> what i saw on that video makes me sick. once again a black man, jacob blake was shot by the police in broad daylight with the whole world watching. >> in america, these cases keep happening.g. we had too many back men in america who have been the subject of this kind of conduct. it has to stop. >> laura: well, following their cue from biden/harris, the media spread this narrative. >> a disturbing story out of kenosha, wisconsin where police shot an unarmed black man in front of his children. >> you see this incident. a man who appeared unarmed.

on top of them. >> laura: where do the businesses of kenosha go for an apology and the every day americans who were told they and law enforcement are racists. jacob blake's paralysis from this shooting is another tragedy but so to is to use this tragedy to inflame a nation for political gain. do we expect politicians to sit back and say we got that wrong? is that too much to ask? >> well, we have not seen it yet. even as early as the obama administration. president obama and the department of justice, several high ranking democrats and of course the mainstream media weighed in on many of these claims.

there were fires. there was looting and all mannei of protests activities only to see that apparently the only end result is a big payout to benjamin crump and we find out a dead persone or shot person actually didn't merit the criminal charges or investigation against the officers that had been pursued because they were lawfully encountering the individual at the time. this story and narrative repeats itself. >> laura: in august "usa today"ed blake was not brandishing anything but admitted the video showed something was in blake's hand.

"usa today" updated the piece but won't change their fact check ruling because it was based on what was known at at the time. how anyone takes these people seriously. we hear those who incite violence should be prosecuted, okay what about the reporting where they ignored the facts? what about that inciting violence? we forget what happened in kenosha? it's an embarrassment that happened to a great city because of false reporting. >> the rioting, the mayhem is essential to demonstrating the truthfulness of the allegations made. it doesn't the case that the allegations are true and then there is mayhem. it's the case you need the mayhem.
