china uses these business ties because beijing uses all points of contact with the united states to undermine us. >> that mix between politics and business also brings us back to senator dianne feinstein. >> back in 1995, when the fundraising scandal was taking place involving china there were actually reports that our intelligence committee had got notice that china was taking a greater interest in capitol hill. on that list was senator dianne feinstein of california and it was noted that her husband was eager to be doing more business in mainland china. so today, they are a major player in mainland china and they rely on the good graces of the government of china in order to maintain those relationships. for them to challenge china to say that china represents a major threat to the united states is essentially damaging
