alarming to you. >> all of them are quite alarming because the joe biden administration is clearly going to replace america first with america last prioritizing virtues signaling and federal control over measures that actually fosters safety and economic growth. the one that stands out is biden's plan to immediately rejoin the paris climate agreement even though the us has cut its carbon emissions in recent years due to fracking. this might make environmentalists feel good but it will do very little to help the environment because the world's biggest polluters of not changed their behavior but if we render that agreement we have to cut our emissions down below pre-2005 levels which could be devastating to an american economy that trying to come out of this recession. also in focus will be attempts to reverse trump's regulation cuts, he promised to get rid of regulations for everyone, all that will end on inauguration

day. we are about to see a huge growth of administrative state and it is ironic that they have been talking about democracy and how important it is david advance this untethered unelected administrative state that will reach its height of power under the biden administration. jillian: for americans at home some wondering how is this going to impact me overall and on a day-to-day basis? what do you say to that? >> taxes could go up as we could see trade deals that hurt the american worker and remember it is not just reversing trump's administration policies we can see, we could see more than that because democrats now have unified control so the skies the limit in terms of how they could remake american life and institutions especially if they get rid of the filibuster which is a possibility. >> the la times wondering if the biden plan is to make america

california again. by adopting liberal policies for the rest of the country but these numbers shock to me, these numbers of california exodus. look at this, 21,000 people moved to california, 135,000 left california july 2019 to july 2020. a large percentage of the 21 that move definitely people trying to make their way in hollywood. that sounds cliché but true. it is reality. is this just another example of the coastal elite trying to force their agenda on the middle of america that doesn't want? >> he is, of course, california is so poorly managed that despite having the most beautiful and stunning natural beauty and the country people and businesses are leaving in record numbers, last year in 2020 it was the second year in a row more people left the state then came to the state, and

it is bad. andrew cuomo, how much confidence do you that he can oversee to out joe biden funneling up into liberal states like new york? >> that's what i was going to say. it's not him taking responsibility but passing the buck once again, it will put the burden on federal government. the federal government did, chuck schumer did announce we are going to be getting some reimbursements for expenses the city has laid out but this $15 billion deficit is larger than we have ever faced in any 2 or 3-year period so this is unprecedented times for andrew cuomo and it is like he just woke up and realized keeping the economy locked down was the primary reason for the budget deficit, like he woke up january 1st and realized suddenly he had to reopen the economy.

what concerns you about biden's border policy when it comes to the average american? >> he has told the public and the rest of the world that if you come to the border when he's president they are going to destroy all of the gains that have been made in the last 3 years, no more border wall, ending deportations for the first hundred days, not removing anybody that's not a criminal for this point foreword, so that's not a good thing for us because if you come to the border under the rules enacted under covid-19 you get turned back into mexico, wait for your asylum claim in mexico. regardless of where you are from and mexico has agreed to do that which is protecting their southern border and what they hinted at in the campaign and what they are looking at now is to end the accords with the migrant protection protocol, ending the accords with the

northern triangle for asylum and what you are telling the police come to the border because things are going back to the way they were under the obama administration and that will be a disaster. a very predictable set of circumstances which you encourage people to come to the border and they are released once apprehended by border patrol there will be more people coming, that happened in 2014 under the obama administration and in 2018 under the trump administration and now we are forecasting it to happen again in the next couple months. >> let's look at the pillars of biden's proposal for immigration overhaul, that includes a pathway to citizenship for 11 million, addressing the causes of migration from central america and do you think people might agree technology for border management is a good thing but my question is do you envision a scenario in which part of the wall that has been built in this administration

comes down whether it is portions or portions that were redone before? could there be a scenario like that? >> big mistake to reverse what happened as relates to infrastructure. under the bush administration, the obama administration and the trump administration, they were asked which does it take to help control the border and it is personal, technology and infrastructure so lots of wall was replaced and renewed under the trump administration. if you reverse those improvements in infrastructure you will have a terrible time on the border. you get those 3 things, reversing that would be a detriment to the men and women protecting us every day and the border communities and detriment of the homeland security enterprise if you reverse the gains that have been made physically on the border. >> thanks for joining us, great to see you.

ainsley: we are just 24 hours from inauguration day, president-elect joe biden is expected to repeal one of donald trump's first actions in office, the keystone xl pipeline permit. jillian: former member of the trump transition team steve malloy, thank you for being here, appreciate it. let's pull up a statement from the president of keystone xl, we are confident keystone xl is not only the safest and most reliable method to transport oil to markets but the initiatives announced today also ensures it will have the lowest environmental impact of an oil pipeline in terms of greenhouse gas emissions with canada and the us are among the most environmentally responsible countries in the world for fossil fuel production. that being said, pledged to make its operations net 0 emissions by 2023. in a letter to joe biden from some of the trade unions they are fully powered by renewable

energy by 2030. all of that is being said. number one, how important is that, what does that tell you and would this be the right move? >> this is also lyness. the keystone xl pipeline past all the environmental review under president obama but balance a green pressure it took 5 years to figure out we need to ban this because of climate, donald trump came in, approved it and got caught up in more litigation, joe biden's promise to pull the permit. the amount of greenhouse gases coming out of the pipeline is 0.03%, it is ridiculous. no impact on climate that is this just an excuse. most people - if they want to make it carbon neutral that

makes it even lower than 300%. this shows the campaign promise, so joe biden could go ahead and do it. neil: how does this affect average americans as we analyze what joe biden is going to do in office, of all the ways this impacts the country, jobs, costs of gas going up, reliance on middle east oil. what concerns you the most? >> all of it, joe biden's plan to phase out fossil fuels, killing the pipeline will not end the world but it will be a death by 1000 cuts, thousands of jobs lost, billions of dollars in lost taxes come billions of dollars in lost wealth creation. do enough of this and we will be back depending on opec once again as we were before fracking

>> a few weeks ago i came back, had a day off on wednesday and thursday morning i get there and the flag is ripped out of the tree and it was on the ground, so i put it back, gave it to them so they could retire it and it just happened again this last week, same thing, ripped out of the tree and retired it and it is a little frustrating. >> what do you think is doing this? any clue? >> i have an idea but don't want to mention him. shannon: talk about how the businesses and going, he opened a few months ago and it has been a struggle for so many restaurant owners, 39% of oregon restaurants may close in the next 6 months. on top of the situation you are
