headquarters. at least 8 people were arrested. >> bill will they didn't stop there protesters burned american flags outside the state capitol building. and in seattle protesters amazon go store, courthouse and the county's first ever starbucks. so it seems steve and ainsley, good morning to you both. steve: good morning to you, will. todd: not everybody thought it actuals a food day yesterday. not herb felt the unity. apparently on the west coast some people were upset that not enough has been accomplished yet in joe biden's presidency. steve: in fact, in very progressive portland, antifa is angry at joe. will: right. steve: in fact, some of those images we saw are of the democratic party headquarters for portland and for oregon and they just don't like joe and they don't like law enforcement. they painted over a democratic party sign. one of the quotes in the paper this morning out there in portland is we don't want biden. we want revenge for police

preaching unity when you are trying to impeach your predecessor? steve: that's right. and peter doocy asked the only hard question and he said, look, the president is talking about unity and should they go forward with an impeachment trial because impeachment is all about removing somebody from office. donald trump is no longer president. so why do it? and she said, essentially, and we will play it a little later on she said well we trust the mechanics of the senate, they can multitask. that doesn't answer the question. the question is in the name of unity, which was his theme, is it a good idea to do that? i mean, there are other options the senate has. they could censure former president trump but do they have to put him on trial? remember, it's got to be a super majority. the chances of 17 republican senators when they can say look, he is a private citizen. chances of getting 17 u.s. senators on the republican side to say yep, he should be

convicted, not good. ainsley: unity is definitely off to a great start. did you hear what ben rhodes said he? called all the trump supporters he was under obama deputy national security adviser and he was on tv saying all the trump supporters are really an issue of national security. listen to this. >> i think the other issue on homeland security as john pointed out yes there is a security issue. how do you identify armed militias who are intent on doing harm? buff there is a broader societal issue that is going to take many years to detox the disinformation of the lies, the hate that has been spread, a whole segment of the american population has been radicalized by what has happened over the last four years and by the fact that donald trump is no longer there. they can no longer see donald trump and representing their grievances in the highest office. i think there is a lot of work to be done to deal with the broader societal issues that go beyond what even national security homeland security officials could do.

tell us what it means to be a sanctuary state when it comes to second amendment? >> well, we have seen over and over the rhetoric and the clear statements that this administration has made against our second amendment rights. and this bill was introduced to help protect arizona from any federal legislation that comes down and would affect our second amendment rights. and as you said, we also have an amendment coming in that will be putting some teeth into the bill that pretty much says that you can't use state or local resources for any legislation that is enacted. it's been clear that this administration clear back from april when kamala harris made statements that if something didn't happen within the first 100 days she was going to make an executive order. and biden recently with tweets banning assault rifles and magazines with multiple rounds. those are things that go straight against our second amendment rights we want to

have a hybrid situation for most of the schools which has worked out extremely well for those who are actually still uneasy about not having taken the vaccine yet. i myself plan on not taking it. my husband does plan on taking it. i would not ask that a teacher would be forced to take it in order to reopen the schools. but i do know it would ease some people's questioning on whether if it's safe or not to send their children back. our schools have done an exleapt job at trying to reopen. ainsley: that's great. karith, how about you? >> i'm in dallas as you know and we are home schooling. it's not a particular issue for our family, but i do think that it is critical for the children who do not have the option of home schooling or have the parents who can be there to help support in the way that they need it. it's always better in person for children to get that attention. we do need to make sure that everything is safe. the teachers are safe, the students are safe. so if there is a way to ensure

that, then we should absolutely go forward. ainsley: tom, i know you are a therapist, you have a private practice what you are seeing. >> i worked at a public high school for 25 years. up here in northern new jersey similar situation, hybrid situation in my private practice i'm dealing with a tremendous amount of kids with anxiety, kids with depression and so forth. and what i'm worried about is when the kids actually do go back to will school i want them to go pack to school as soon as possible. i think it's critically important. from having worked under the roof of a school, schools are going to be having to deal with so many kids with school phobia related issues just from being socially isolated, particularly kids that have some sort of underlying anxiety. so it's going to be -- it's not going to be as easy as it sounds when we roll kids back into school. i do think they need to get there. we have to get them back into some semblance of normality. ainsley: what do you think timing of this president trump was pushing for schools and everything to reopen. he said there are a lot of
