chris wallace will speak with two republican senators, mitt romney and marco rubio, check your local listings for the show time. thank you for inviting us into your home tonight and all this week and through 2021. that's it for this special report, fair, balanced, and still unafraid. a fox news prime time hosted by brian kilmeade starts right now. >> you can officially start your weekend at this moment, go ahead. if good evening and welcome to fox news prime time. i am brian kilmeade but brett gave that away. he said we have a moral obligation to get people back to work. >> we cannot, will not let people go hungry. we cannot let people be evicted because of nothing they did themselves. we cannot let people lose their jobs and we have to act.
4:01 pm
we have to act now. this is an economic imperative, a growing economic consensus that we must act decisively and boldly to grow the economy for all americans, not just for tomorrow but in the future. >> sounds good beer the president claims to be taking decisive action during these dark days of the pandemic which is true, but not the help you need come up for building campaign promises that i can tend to vote at a single job but will raise plenty of jobs. yesterday with the stroke of a pen, he killed the keystone xl pipeline and an estimated 71,000 jobs, good paying union jobs he touted he was all about unions. the move will likely erase energy costs or raise them up and hurt our relationship with canada. more on that later in the show. also halted the southern border wall already paid for, i think a lot more. but that's not all. today, he mandated a federal minimum wage of $15, a move that
4:02 pm
nonpartisan congressional budget office says would eliminate 3.7 million jobs. how does this make sense? the increased cost of labor is also guaranteed to hurt small businesses hanging on by a thread during the pandemic. sadly, not the time to give people a raise because all boats rise. what kind of president does this unilaterally on day one and day two without even taking the time to explain his actions? he signs, he mumbles, he closes, and we move. one that's more concerned about pandering to the far left because he has got a base of american workers who are counting on him and his left-wing policies. so for anyone about to lose their job because of these executive orders i do not worry. the biden administration has some advice for you. it's a little different, but let's listen together. >> for those workers, the answer is somebody else will get a job? to make the answer is we are very eager to see those workers continue to be employed in good paying union jobs even if they might be different ones. >> brian: here with reaction, dan crenshaw of texas.
4:03 pm
i even just texted you, i'm so disappointed with what's happened over the last two or three days, no conversation, no give-and-take, no kevin mccarthy, let's do something together here. it was a great speech perhaps, but is there any indication that there's going to be any bipartisanship and this will help the economy? >> they're going to keep talking about unity but they don't want to unify behind anything the american working class might actually want. couldn't have said it better than what you just said. you talked about canceling the keystone pipeline, tens of thousands of union jobs that pay a lot better than jobs for say solar and wind. on average, $20,000 better pay for oil and gas jobs than for solar and wind and most of those jobs are in china. so that's what pete buttigieg is talking about when he says other jobs. not talking about good paying american jobs and they need to confront this fact and confront that when you drastically rates the minimum wage to $15 an hour,
4:04 pm
you're going to cut out millions of jobs across america. not according to me, that's according to the congressional budget office. i have people begging me to do something about this. we will immediately lose our business and already hanging on by a thread. so if you're going to claim that you are the party of the american working class, you actually have to support working. that's a requirement to be a working-class party and they just won't do that. >> we had a meeting today and said if there was one policy that was intensely put out that it would eliminate jobs, all he cared about was jobs to the detriment may be of other things. when you hear what canada's perspective is, they are enraged. as much as they are happy to have a democratic president and donald trump out, they wanted this pipeline. they know it's clean and passed five separate environmental tests put out by the obama administration and i want you to listen to the alberta premier on
4:05 pm
this, what he says is up a bye joe biden. >> it's very frustrating that one of the first acts of a new president was to disrespect america's closest friend and ally canada. >> brian: evidently, he's a liberal in canada. this isn't just me and you talking, there's a lack of logic here. >> it's also bad for the environment and the radical left doesn't really care about the environment. this is about the culture war to them and for them, fossil fuels are just evil. they don't know why. if you are stupid if you ask why but they just want to tell you they are evil. the truth is when you build pipelines, you are doing on a much cleaner and safer way than transporting it by truck or by train. if you're also helping north american energy independence which is what our canadian friends are alluding to because if we are not producing and exporting cleaner produced oil and cleaner produce natural gas to the rest of the world,
4:06 pm
you know who has? russia, venezuela, iran, saudi arabia so because of joe biden's policies, you will see an increase in global emissions. you will see an increase in manufacturing over in china. the chinese love this stuff because they love selling us there solar panels and they are wind turbines back here so that we clear our land, build a bunch of transmission lines and screw up our energy independence. they love seeing the paris climate accord going forward because they can keep alluding while our economy gets hurt even though we are the ones that reduce carbon emissions more than any other country in the world, so it's actually bad for the environment, bad for the economy, doesn't make any sense but it's good for the radical left culture wars which is what they are after. >> brian: we still get more fossil fuels from canada than anybody else and if you want to reestablish relations with our neighbor, joe biden's first call is to justin trudeau when i ask you logically if canada means
4:07 pm
that much to joe biden where your first international call is to justin trudeau, why does this make sense? can you clue me in who was joe biden answering to? >> i think we did just answer that. it's the culture warriors, the postmodernist progressives. they want you to believe certain things about america. they want you to believe it's evil, that you should sacrifice but the chinese don't have to. they want you to believe your job should be sacrificed for other jobs that they prefer even though they pay less and are good jobs. they want you to believe that the 1776 commission should be abolished because it teaches you that america is too good and they would rather replace that with the 1619 project. this is who he is listening to. when maggie was asked about the highways and what he will do because the former mayor of south bend who was average in every way said this about our highways, so get a pen ready, i did not know this. >> i also recognize that at
4:08 pm
their worst, misguided policies and missed opportunities in transportation can reinforce racial and economic inequality by dividing or isolating neighborhoods and undermining governments basic role of empowering americans to thrive. >> brian: okay, we have racist highways now. >> i live next to a highway. i didn't realize it was a racist highway. this is what happens when the progressive left takes over the culture and takes over the democrat party. no more ideals of neutral application of law or neutral justice are universal principles. all of these old liberal principles that we use to agree on are no longer agreed upon, so they see everything through a social justice lens and through critical race theory where everything, every problem that you see in the only way to solve said problem is to view it through a racial lens and that's
4:09 pm
exactly what pete buttigieg is doing right now, completely unqualified for this job. >> brian: certainly bright and served our country but it's an interesting time in america, that used to be a rarity. congressman dan crenshaw, you can start your weekend now but knowing you, it will be a working weekend. >> as always, great to be with you. >> brian: i appreciate you scrambling for us. let's put in dave rubin, axios pointed out that moderate joe was turning into liberal joe through these executive orders. but i find most aggravating his they didn't take the time to explain it. he doesn't sit up there and take the questions. maybe he's got great answers, we don't know. should we get used to the bubble wrap president? >> this thing is going to be bubble wrapped and put in a very soft box with pillows and a lot of peanut things.
4:10 pm
he is not going to be touched. it's very obvious that the media will play total softball with him. you saw the press conferences of the last couple of days. will he change the color of the drapes on air force one, nonsense like that. ironically, we saw this a lot during the primary process when biden does get challenged, he actually gets quite hostile and several times offered to fight people, not only journalists, but you may remember jerry wayne who was an auto worker in michigan who biden wanted to take outback. so he is not used to getting tough questions and when he does, he reverts to this very defensive posture but unfortunately, we don't have a great media that will hold his feet to the fire too often. >> brian: that's when he was a candidate but now it's us in our country, so it's not okay. jen psaki gave a couple of press conferences, she was asked about the antifa violence you've been talking about in portland,
4:11 pm
denver, seattle, sometimes new york. we never hear anything about that and sadly i guess they were rushed for time, it didn't make the inaugural address. listen to how she handled it. >> does the president have any comments on the ongoing violence in oregon and washington state? be mike i haven't spoken with him specifically but it's something our national security team are closely monitoring of course. >> brian: going to talk about this a little bit later in the show but they wrote they don't like biden, they don't like the democrats. they smash the windows of the democratic party. that gives them the perfect out to say all terror and violence is wrong, i don't care where it is, it's got to stop in portland and seattle. if what is it about the makeup of antifa that has democrats? >> they played footsie with it for far too long and now the chickens are coming home to roost, that's basically what's happening here. for the last two years, we watched portland and seattle in
4:12 pm
new york city and parts of los angeles and san francisco, every progressive city we have in america has been attacked and in some cases actually burn down, burning down targets and pep boys and residential neighborhoods by antifa, the left and the democrats kind of work into it because there was this idea that this is just happening because of trump, some amorphous reason that in trump's america, everything is racist and these people are letting off steam from this was promoted by people like maxine waters and aoc and people on cnn like chris cuomo who said where does it say that protests have to be peaceful. it does say it actually that they have to be peaceful. they played footsie with it for so long because they were using it to harm trump and now they don't want to get too close to it. the idea that she hasn't spoke to biden about it may be true, he's been busy, but isn't that an insurrection when you have
4:13 pm
people marching through streets destroying public property and they've been doing it for two years now and we know it is somewhere between one and $2 billion worth of damage but they don't want to talk about that and there was a reason for it. >> brian: it would be one way to subtly bring people together gradually. we see your point, let me included in my concerns, doesn't happen yet, still hopeful something will change. thank you so much for joining us today, have a great friday. >> good to see you. >> brian: straight-ahead, pete hegseth on the democrats proposal, is on the same side of the squad. reached an a1c under 7 and maintained it. here's your a1c. oh! my a1c is under 7!
