were paying attention, even though they saw the events, the speech and heard the rancor it looks like a show trial. i spent my time in government and argued strongly that due process does matter. around the world human rights depend on not having show trials. in artificial crime, created something out of nothing because it is politically advantageous is what the legitimate governments do all over the world. the principle is a show trial. in a place like china doing show trials, we just don't believe in that. it makes a mockery of the constitution. the notion of using the fourteenth amendment directed at keeping confederates out of government as a backup plan, it looks very political. todd: you heard democrats complain the senators who are jurors in this case on the president's legal team, this
