not tonic naturally was funded by tech oligarchs in silicon valley. it set itself apart by never addressing for the most part ideas or policies. instead, they went personal, immediately write for the throat. rather than argue against of what donald trump may be doing, it instead threatened to his attorney and spread felt about his age. in january, for example, we are constructing a database of trump officials and staff that will detail their roles in the trump administration and track where they are now. they will be held accountable. it always sounded a little more like ms-13 than a political operative. now, because everything is irony, their reports tonight the fbi is investigating the lincoln project, specifically one of its founders john weaver. you may remember him because he helped manage john mccain's run for president. he also works for ohio

governor john kasich. he's a close associate of bill kristol, corsi's. john weaver spent enormous energy trying to lure young boys into. at least one of those boys was 14 years old. 21 of john weaver's alleged victims accuse him of sexual harassment. it's an awful story. here's the worst part of this story, the lincoln project had a good idea of what john weaver was up to. a lot of people did. for decades, consultants whispered rumors that john weaver had tried to little boys. carl broke to his credit set it out loud. the atlantic protected john weaver, too. it turned out to be, apparently, accurate. colleagues of the lincoln projects knew this, and from law enforcement. it inside the organization they made it clear they understood what was happening. here's an excerpt from a new piece in new york magazine, "beginning in september much of

the lincoln project staff convened in park city, utah, where they hunkered down in a covid safe pot until election day" "this time the allegations against weaver where an open secret in the company according to former employees. one former employee says that's when his boss warned him to avoid weaver. when i was told it was almost in passing, that i did not want to be involved with him specifically because i am a young man, a former employee said, one night over drinks with much of the staff, four employees were called weaver's behavior came up repeatedly as the topic of discussion. one person remembers steve schmidt and drake wilks and telling people weaver was "depraved" and twisted and they wouldn't want to know the truth about him." inside the office, lincoln project executives essentially joked about john weaver soliciting from teenagers. as if the stores couldn't be

project was a god send. we can't overstate that. according to associated press "of the $90 million raised by the lincoln project, more than half -- $50 million went to firms controlled by the lincoln project executive." $50 million. according to the federal elections committee, and the month of december alone -- that was before the georgia senate runoff -- the lincoln project shoveled $1.5 million to steve schmidt, who incidentally bought a big new house. the lincoln project spent $38,000 on a private jet company. they spent $1.7 million with project cofounders room and gave $420,000 to cofound or read dylan's firm. i hope these guys save the money, it's hard to imagine you'll be hearing much from his the lincoln project after today. reports say steve schmidt has just resigned from betaine. he wrote a resignation letter online tonight that you should read. and eight he portrays himself as the victim.

it's all about him, and then because he's resigning because the board of lincoln project has too many middle-aged white man, in the name of diversity he much go. the lincoln project also saw the resignation of its spokesman and other people. just a week ago the lincoln project was powerful and feared. now, it's done, it's over, it's not coming back. at the lesson is, things change fast. ask andrew cuomo how fast they change. a lot of people expected him to be the vice presidents of the united states, and for good reason. he played an instrumental role in biden's campaign to the white house. he helped the party leverage coronavirus for political ammo. he's one of the reasons that a lot of voters in november wound up believing donald trump was personally responsible for covid. some voters convinced to were convinced he hooked it up himself and mar-a-lago. joe biden knew that these propaganda points were helping him, and he seemed grateful for andrew cuomo's help.

killed everyone in nursing homes, going after new jersey governor phil murphy, after california governor gavin newsom, after michigan governor. then she worried, that directs the department of justice into an investigation of us. basically, we froze. she continues, we had a petition of we weren't sure of what we're going to give to the department of justice. what we start saying was going to be used against us, we weren't sure if it's going to be an investigation. in other words, we lied because we didn't want to get caught? dominic. the most basic explanation of all. there are now 15,000 confirmed and presumed nursing home deaths in the state of new york, that's up from 12,703's and of late january. we don't have those figures because the cuomo at administration get them to us -- we have them because a few reporters, reporters like andrew kerr at "the daily caller" noticed that the death numbers

asking repeatedly, families were asking repeatedly what was going on, and they refused to get out the numbers. weeks ago, i said he should be prosecuted. i said several times on the table, because it was a circumstantial case. now, there is a case that involves direct evidence of a cover-up. what you've got is a man who drafted an opinion on march 25th saying that the elderly that were infected with covid should go back into the nursing home. that was a decision, essentially, to kill seniors. if the ones who are the most vulnerable in those nursing homes. he knew what was wrong, and yet he did a peered at the question is, why did he do it? as a prosecutor and a judge, that's not an issue for me. i will tell you why he did it. he did it to keep the hospitals open. he did it to make sure that the new york hospitals would be able to continue to make money and not have to deal with some medicare patients and medicaid patients, okay?

then what we've got, we've got him passing along -- giving immunity to his pals at the hospitals and nursing homes from civil and criminal liability. now, his evidence based upon the statement of a person -- his secretary, his right hand person. she said, i'm sorry to you democrat lawmakers. it not the legislators who want to the answers, not to janice dean and her family and everyone else who was affected who wanted answers. and not to the public, not to the press, but i ask you this tucker -- why wasn't the press on this more than -- why do we have to wait until today question mike here's the issue now, will the panel of grand jr., attorney general's to begin a grand jury investigation question mike will the department of justice do an investigation on abuse of the elderly over which they have jurisdiction? this guy when he made a statement, he said, there is no one to prosecute, he is wrong i expect there is someone to

prosecute here, because he had the intent -- malicious intent. it was greedy and tense, it was reckless actions, it was negligent actions. the cause the death of so many vulnerable patients who were denied the ability to be touched by a family member. let me move on to the lincoln project. those people are a bunch of bozos. they hated donald trump so much that they were willing to commit all of these crimes themselves -- sexual harassment, make believe it didn't happen, abusing money, tens of millions of dollars to use for consultants that they were connected to. i mean, these guys are predators. they are predators! its typical, the media didn't look into it. all of that stuff about weaver was on twitter, nobody cared. where is journalistic integrity? if it's donald trump that we are looking at -- everybody have added! we are not going to check it out. this bozo thing that's going on in terms of the alleged impeachment, even the supreme court won't show up to

to assess the facts for themselves. when this reporter went on podcast, for example to talk about the biden administration, what was her coverage like? was a critical, skeptical, or funding? >> this was a new era, a new tone here in washington. at the biden administration. look, i think it was not -- it was what you would expect is what i would describe it as. at the same time, not disclosing that you have a relationship with the person who works for the biden administration, that's the problem. as you mention, people can assess. the problem is when it's all completely in the dark and the reaction that the white house does to another reporter -- a great reporter who is trying to bring this to light, which is a story. it's not watergate, but this is absolutely a story the public has a right to know about and the media should cover. the one i wonder, when you say, "i will destroy you."

>> good to see you. >> tucker: for the rest of us who realized -- because it's unavoidable now, these are not companies acting in good faith or not companies that seek the best for the united states. it's worth asking, to what extent do they have control over our national security? >> the big tech companies like amazon, microsoft, google, they've gone big into government and military procurement issues, and it's been hugely profitable for them. amazon made something like $45 billion last year selling cloud computing microsoft sold something like $60 billion worth of cloud computing. this is being sold aggressively to the federal government, and to local governments and governments around the world as an inexpensive way of getting technology. the problem is that it leaves the big tech companies in

possession of the technology, and in the position to pull it away from governments -- from military, from intelligence organizations. to say, if the u.s. got into a war that silicon valley didn't like all of a sudden there would be all of this pressure to not have the technology be used. we've already seen that not only of the big tech companies willing to censor individuals, but we've actually seen the big tech companies in action pulling the technologies away from government back in 2019 amazon s repeatedly talking about how proud they were that they were unwavering in their support of the military, the intelligence community, and law enforcement. one of the products they were selling to law enforcement was facial recognition software, but after there were protests last

summer, in the middle of those posttests amazon took away the facial recognition software from police departments. we can have a debate over whether it's a good idea or bad idea for there to be facial recognition software, but i think what we don't want to have happen is police departments come to rely on it, and then when there's a crisis, have it taken away. just be one that's exactly right. that's an amazing example. these are not american companies -- the people who run them have no special agent, they don't act and any interest for the united states. why would the pentagon not build its own, why would they allow these multinationals all of the control over that our national security? >> they are being sold it's more secure and cheaper to go with the big tech version solutions, and there's a lot of pressure on the pentagon to go with big tech
