as the shining example of the failed defund the police movement, they don't have the ability to do that. they are so entrenched in their own views, political agendas. look at new york for example. we have seen an incredible spike in murder, armed robbery, all violent crime and what is the answer for city council? they are pushing forward 11 bills that would, quote, reduce the footprint of the nypd. what does that mean? reduce the footprint? this comes as the slasher that attacked and killed people and subways which was a direct result of removing cops from the subway system. todd: here are the numbers in minneapolis, 5422 violent crime incidents just in 2020 alone.

i am no expert on this, most of the people i associate with are not experts on this but to a man, to a woman, we all saw this coming. we don't need to be law enforcement realize this was going to happen. how does minneapolis the council not? >> absolutely right. you talk about not being an expert in anything, of course you reduce the number of police officers were you defund or demoralize law enforcement which is being done all over the country, what is the effect going to be? d policing, even if the police are there they are not going to act in a proactive manner. just this week the chief of culver city police in california just issued a memo which was leaked to me by a member of the los angeles county police agency which basically tells him not to

make contact stops for a number of violations. they don't want to make contact with the community. that is codified d policing. that is the way law enforcement has to work to be effective. let's look at minneapolis. they came up with $6.4 million, they already lost 20% of their police officers due to their arrogance and demoralizing of the police and their d funding. it will take years, years. todd: they cut $8 million. todd: recruitment and other cities is down as well. we talked about that, not just minneapolis, let's put up the scroll of other major cities reallocating police budget funds, there are a number of them, san francisco, seattle,

portland, connecticut, philadelphia. any of the cities on screen have you seen anyone come forward with another plan they have, another grand slam you think might work to keep communities safe? because i haven't seen anything. todd: no plan to keep the community safe, they are not caring about keeping the community safe. this is all about the woke political agenda of dismantling the police. this is an assault upon their own citizens they have sworn to protect, when they do they do it to correct that -- protect their citizens. they don't care, so clear, so obvious, it is beyond me how cities like portland which is a complete mess, seattle, city council people are simply appeasing the radical left agenda at the expense of their citizens.

confident when it comes to the gun control or rather gun rights topics, the american people. we have 8 million new gunowners this last year alone, many of them african-american women and men. we will see more of that going forward. gun owning america, making people know this is an important issue and something that has no mandate. president biden needs to pay attention. jillian: thank you for joining us. todd: a san diego sheriff's deputy removed from the hospital after being viciously attacked by two inmates. the deputy was escorting a nurse when he stopped to open a solo when two inmates started beating him, as you see he suffered multiple injuries to his head and also his torso. jail officials are investigating.
