boylan sharing her claims on the website medium, that cuomo kissed her after a private meeting without her consent. she also mentioned uncomfortable moments on a 2017 flight with cuomo saying he suggested let's play strip poker. boylan yet on to write i should have been shocked by the governor's crude comment but i wasn't. the governor denied allegations then and now. the administration responded to her recent claims, as we said before miss boylans of inappropriate behavior simply false. a new york democrat is joining calls for independent investigation. we must hold even the highest officials of our state accountable if we expect to rye store the public trust. this as the governor faces calls to resign over his administration's handling of data about nursing home covid deaths in the state. at a rally new york assemblyman ron kim and fox news senior meteorologist janice dean call on cuomo to repeal the pandemic

immunity granted to nursing homes and hospitals and make public all his communications with people tied to those industries. back to you guys. ainsley: thank you so much, ashley. i read this entire article on medium this is unbelievable some of these claims. inappropriate behavior toward women was affirmation he liked you. you must be doing something right. he used intimidation to silence his critics, if you dared speak up you faced consequence. another cuomo staffer confided in her. something similar happened to her. ron kim is speaking out the democrat assemblyman in new york about his intimidation. mayor bill de blasio has spoken out about his intimidation and his bullying. in addition to that, if you read the article in medium she attaches emails that she received from people within the office, people like her bosses that said, he said to look up a lady named lease a shields. you could be sisters except you're the better looking

sister. if you read on, lisa shields was cuomo's ex-girlfriend. none of the networks are covering this. it is unbelievable, exempt for fox. abc, cbs, nbc, zero seconds last night. this guy is, listen denying the claims. it is still a story, a news stories especially what happened with the nursing homes. no mention of it. it is predictable the other networks would protect them, not make it a news story. they couldn't find 20 seconds to tell the story of what happened to the woman she claims was sexually assaulted. if this happened to a woman in florida with another governor there, republican governor there, this would be all over the headlines. we all know that is true. brian: kind of interesting the most high-profile governor in the country, getting all these accolades from all walks of life, including around the globe, how he got an emmy, best-selling book, had time to write that which is stunning you see this, how could you not fit that into a story. even if you don't believe it this woman, who is a democrat,

came out and said something about two months ago. she said after she saw the way he was how the governor berated ron kim that pushed her to go forward. she says expect a lot of pushback on me. i know they have to do that in order to keep their job. tammy bruce, listened to all this, weighed in last night on sean hannity's show. >> this kind of issue, whether it's sexual harrassment or sexual assault or losing a loved one in a nursing home who did not need to die because of an order about the governor, this does not care about a political party a woman is a woman. doesn't matter what party you belong to, what you believe on policy, but what you've got here. civil or criminal action, it is one thing. but we're looking at a man here, who has had no compassion. he has been careless. there has been empathy in facing the nursing home scandal. no admission no passion at all for having been wrong.

no real apology. blaming everyone else. brian: so as "new york post" writes in an editorial, yes, these are all allegations. cuomo has every right to give his side of the story. on the other hand when christine blasey ford accused brett kavanaugh of sexual assault the governor insisted everyone believe her. demanded that kavanaugh take a lie-detector test. all right, governor, take a lie-detector test. steve: you could think, what are the chances of anything happening with mr. cuomo here in new york state, it is called by democrats. look at washington, d.c., house republican members of the oversight committee are calling on governor cuomo to come testify into the nursing home deaths. are they going to get very far? don't know. probably not. last year they asked governor cuomo to provide information and come down and talk. wouldn't do that. they have sent him three letters. he has denied each one of them. essentially stonewalled. then you got ron kim yesterday

at that rally that ashley was talking about, he said in addition to the fact that mr. cuomo should return $10 million that he received in contributions from the greater new york hospital association because he put into one of the bills a removed their liability. but now ron kim is calling for congressman jerry nadler, a democrat, to convene hearings into the nursing home death toll in new york. will jerry nadler be able to move the needle? stay tuned. ainsley: he says that nadler has denied that request. so we'll see what happens. so, as the confirmation for the omb director is hanging in the balance, the lady has been nominated, neera tanden, you her her name a lot, key senators are coming out against her after a lot of her tweets have been revealed. she had hawk tweets. she deleted 1000 of those tweets recently, tweets attacking gop senators and attacking bernie sanders and used to work for

hillary clinton. once said bernie sanders was russia's choice. lisa murkowski, did you see the tweet about you? no. i was surprised to learn she had tweeted. all these individuals say they will not vote for here are a few of them. senator collins, senator romney, senator portman, senator toomey, senator joe manchin who is the democrat, senator capito. she will need one republican to say i will vote for her. brian: joe manchin said i will not vote for her. she is totally irresponsible. she is pundit on the outside. she blisters everybody. how did you think this would not come forrd especially alienate bernie sanders who you need on your side. you didn't give a heads up to bernie sanders you would put her forward as the omb director. i will go up to mitt romney, go up to lisa murkowski, mitt romney, i will see if i get them to vote for her because they're moderate republicans. collins says you got to be

kidding me. lisa murkowski was thinking about it, when the "huffington post" reporter, did you know she tweeted about her. what she said about the lisa murkowski doing the president's tax reform. no offense, sounds like your high on your supply. susan collins, she is the worst. ted cruz, vampires are more heart. on bernie sanders. russia did more to help the dnc than random internal emails helped hillary. this is not a way to gracious eight yourself with the left or right. the administration said we will get her a job if she can't pass this we'll get her something else to appoint her too. steve: the administration is not willing to throw in the towel yet. lear is chief of staff ron klain. >> neera tanden would be a superb budget director. she would be one of the most outstanding budget directors we had. she knows policy. she knows you how to get

something done in washington. she is a great candidate for the job and certainly worth fighting our guts out to get her confirmed. we can't make someone acting director of an agency who has not been senate confirmed. that is the law. if neera tanden is not confirmed she will not become the budget director. we will find a place for her to serve in the administration, doesn't require senate confirmation. let me be clear, we'll get neera tanden confirmed. that is what we're working for. steve: doesn't look like that is going to happen. ultimately once again tweets will have done her in i'm old enough to remember when there were nominees for all sorts of cabinet positions where the nominees were disqualified because at one point in their lives they hired somebody from another country who had not paid social security tax. that was one thing. kimba wood famously, nanny-gate. this is completely different. because with the 1000 tweets it has been revealed that she is a

>> well, i would say that cpac has played this role, which i wouldn't have predicted when donald trump was coming down the escalator, basically into the -- we're going to listen to the guy, work with the guy. that turned into him getting the nomination. him being a great conservative president. one of the reasons he was great conservative president is because people like just didn't immediately go on the attack like so many establishment republicans did. they never really liked donald trump. they liked his policies but then they thought they could shove him off the stage. my message to the establishment republicans, you don't have to like trump to love his policies. you should love the millions of people he brought to this coalition. it is no longer about the elephant brian. not just about the republican party. it is republicans, it is conservatives who are this big, big minority in this country. then it is new maga supporters who might not have the same perfect philosophy other

slams parents over the push to reopen schools. in a now deleted tweet special ed teacher bethany murray wrote all the rich white parents suddenly concerned about mental health can take a seat. most of them are causing their kids anxiety by pressuring them to complete a sanctimonious work and feeding into their sense of entitlement. sorry, not sorry. here to react two parents with children in that district. megan and sandra. thank you so much for being with us. >> thanks for having us. ainsley: you're welcome. meghan, what was your reaction when you read that? >> i certainly found it disheartening but what i will say, ainsley, two things trouble me more. one is the staggering mental health crisis that our children and teens are experiencing right now because some of them, especially here in california have been locked out of their school buildings now almost a year. pediatric emergency room visits skyrocketed this past year.

the second thing, you know, also here in california, we have a void of leadership from the local or the state level to have done anything meaningful to get our kids back into the classroom now when we know it is safe. ainsley: sandra, what was your thought? >> yeah. i agree. it was hurtful and demoralizing for sure but this is really what happens when there is a failure to lead at the top levels of government. this is the new normal in my opinion and we're going to be living with covid or a variant of covid or another snake pig virus going forward and we need some leadership to get us back into schools and start figuring this out instead of, instead of what you see now which is, we're lagging as a state and we're having a lot of presumptions being made of the respective parties and we just need someone to push it forward for us. ainsley: yeah. it is like pouring salt into the wound, making it first to focus on rich white parents. this is about the kids.

not about targeting individuals. we're going through so much as a country. not needed. this is a quote from the school district. we saw one tweet from a staff member that left many families disrespected and insulted. it has been shared numerous times by upset families. the staff member apologized for the tweet. we ask they remain from personal insults from the attacks, do not help the situation or others but only serve to inplame tensions. she is a special ed teacher at the school. she apologized. how is this affecting your children, megan? tell us about your situation? >> i have young kids, so does sandro. all children are struggling for reasons. certainly for young children, isolation of not being in school. it is incredibly challenging. it is heart for them to engage you know. so i have, you know kindergartner, second-grader. second-grader also has dyslexia. learning online learning, read to advance himself there, it is just really hard.

again you know, we looked across the country. we see school districts not just back in hybrid, 47% of elementary school are back full time five days a week. another third are back hype bid. california 11% of our kids are back in school. it really is time. as sandor mentioned this is year into this. we need to figure out a way to get kids back in school. we know it is safe. we need leadership to do so. ainsley: sandra, is it like here in new york? lot of people moved out because of high taxes. when schools were closed, parents were frustrated? >> yeah. i mean i definitely feel like there is a lot of people reconsidering whether or not stay in public or relocating. from my family in particular, i mean, my daughter who is in third grade is spending way too much time on her screens and we're, ironically, she knows, she knows how to turn off the camera on a zoom when she goes to the potty.

this is ridiculous. she is doing this. as a third-grader. she is really having trouble focusing and, and not really getting much learning done. frankly in oakland we have 72% of students are from low income families. those inequities in the education they're receiving are being exacerbated by this i don't think it is fair assume that you know, only a certain group of parents wants to go back into school. i think a lot do and we need leadership to make this happen, get us there to figuring out how to do this. this is the new normal. we need to start figuring out how to teach with these precautions. we need to do it now. a lot of the country is already moving forward and we're just dragging. >> to your point they have figured it out. they're just not all doing it. some are, some are not. megan and sandro, thank you so much for being with us. i wish all the best.

them. yesterday at the rally you were at city hall park assemblyman ron kim called on jerry nadler, who is from new york, and a democrat, to hold some sort of a hearing. you know what? jerry nadler is going to see this. we don't know that he saw the rally yesterday. what would you like to say to jerry nadler about investigating what happened at new york's nursing homes. >> well, we would like jerry nadler to know that the families, of, for variety of reasons had our loved ones there, we're believing all along they were safe. so it is basically, we need to restore the faith and trust in our nursing home system and the leadership in the state of new york. steve: indeed. alexa, bench you go, do you, you know, i know they're trying to end governor cuomo's emergency powers. they run through the end of april, but democrats are reluctant to do that. at the very least they should pull the plug on that, right?
