"the new york post" covered today, they put it pretty bluntly. it called cuomo of pig. the charges, as the governor has been on defense and his role in covering up coronavirus deaths

in new york nursing homes. republicans on that scandal now are calling on democrats, carolyn maloney, to subpoena cuomo to testify. >> if you will remember, nancy pelosi created a coronavirus subcommittee to investigate all things related to the coronavirus. i'm sure pelosi was hoping about that would involve the trump administration, but what the committee has found the most concerning, mismanagement and form of abuse is not that hands of governor cuomo with his nursing home policies, so we want answers. >> harris: and the governor's response? well, empty political theater,." bryan llenas has been all over the story. he is live for us in brooklyn. >> that afternoon. new york governor andrew cuomo was expected to have a coronavirus press conference yesterday.

it did not happen. in the wake of another scandal. and on top of the letter that you just mentioned from five new york state republican senators calling for an investigation, new york city mayor bill de blasio just had a press conference and also called for an investigation. >> look, these allegations are really disturbing. let's be clear about that. they are really disturbing. we have to, as new yorkers, we have to take this seriously. when a woman comes forward with this kind of very specific allegations, they have to be taken seriously. we need a full and independent investigation. i want to highlight the word "independent." this is unacceptable. in any public servant, and anybody. so we've got to get to the truth about this. >> and an online essay, a former

aide to governor cuomo, lindsey boylan, wrote that he constantly sought her out, have staffers arrange meetings with her. boylan claim cuomo stepped in front of her and kissed her. they were incidences of unwanted touching. she said top female staffers normalized his behavior. "governor andrew cuomo has created a culture within his administration were sexual harassment and bullying is so pervasive, that it is not only condoned, but expected." alessandra biaggi tweeted "i have no doubt that this is true. i have witnessed similar behavior, and it is unacceptable." rose mcgowan told fox news digital "i completely stand by lindsey boylan. it's true the leaks every word from the screen that she read." governor cuomo's press secretary responded. as for the nursing home scandal

rally at new york city's hall yesterday. watch a little bit of edge. >> we have been shouting from the rooftops for ten months. ten months. and i have yet to hear those governor saying in front of a microphone's "i am sorry for your loss." the governor has blamed everyone, everyone, except the man that has been covering up the numbers. he has blamed god, mother nature, the nursing home workers. those who tried to care for my loved ones but could not go in. >> harris: janice dean is with me now, and i don't know if you just heard brian's reporting, but howard zucker is now testifying and has been blamed -- you are mentioning the list of blame. now blames those nursing home staff again, saying that they were the ones who carried covid into the nursing home here the science shows, though, that putting sick people with covid in with the weakest among us, the elderly, is what did it, and

the numbers are staggering. >> it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that you don't put infected patients into nursing homes with our most vulnerable. what an insult. howard zucker continues to lie and blame others. they actually came out with their own investigation a few months ago, conducted by themselves, exonerating them of any problems at all, so that is why it is important to have a bipartisan investigation so that we don't have a governor conducting his own investigation. people will do it for the families and so that this doesn't happen ever again. >> harris: well, and if you want to get to answers, you are going to need that too. that is what de blasio is calling in yet another scandal for this governor, having to do with a woman who is accusing him of sexual harassment and more. he wants an independent look at this, but for the specifically,

we know from he says he was strong-armed by governor cuomo, so we know that i could be part of it too. janice, what about these democrats? it sure looked like there weren't any others besides came yesterday. are they really on board with doing the right thing? >> there were several there, but we need way more to come across the aisle with republican lawmakers, and they continue to shirk their duties and kind of power in the corner. instead of standing up for what is right. it is not about politics. it is not about republicans or democrats. it is about what is right or wrong. we lost over 15,000 seniors in new york. more than hurricane katrina and 9/11 combined and doubled. where is the outrage of this? ten months we have been going on in trying to get answers. we need more. we need more people to come across the aisle, and we need more coverage of this. i have seen more media cover

above this band in history, i think. >> harris: you know, i interviewed someone who came from massachusetts to help. she saw one of the now infamous -- because i think he got an emmy for it. some people want that to go back. for all of these news conferences, she answered his call to come and help on new yorkers. she was assigned to a facility where there are seniors, and here is another layering of the story for you. not only where the seniors went in harm's way, but she says they all wear as well. they were compromised and their abilities to take care of people because they had to bring their own ppe into the facility and use it over and over because the state wasn't making it available to them. what are your thoughts on that? i know that is part of what you are seeing too. >> absolutely. there are people who are afraid to talk because they don't want to lose their jobs. they were wearing garbage bags, harris appeared garbage bags.

president biden to renounce his sole authority to launch nuclear weapons. that letter came from congressman jimmy panetta, obtained by politico, and it reads in part, "besting one person with this authority entails real risk." however, matt gaetz says this is an example of why the left wanted by then elected to begin with. speak out on the left, this is all a part of the plan. having a joe biden that is too frail to stand up against their efforts to centralize power, to take over the economy, to limit people's rights, to expand the boundaries of what is constitutionally permissible, they are able to do these things because joe biden is not in a position to really make decisions day in and day out. >> harris: i want to bring in now fox news contributor joey jones. good to see you. two things crossed my mind pure national security and what our adversaries must think as they

look at members of his own party, questioning whether or not joe biden should have the nuclear football, for lack of a better term. the other lien is if you are joe biden, are you pretty mad? >> well, good afternoon, harris appeared or good morning, i guess. i think democrats are pretty consistent here because they were saying that trump was way too unhinged to have the nuclear codes, so maybe this is just part of their platform. it doesn't make a lot of sense, but at least they are consistent with it. i think more than this, i am not as worried about nuclear weapons. how about we take his ability to send tens of thousands of troops to go to war away? i would love to see two dozen democrats sign a letter saying hey, we would like to go back to using our authority to declare war, rather than just love the president do it for us. you know, as a guy who went to afghanistan and iraq, i wouldn't

mind seeing that move. >> harris: that is really, really interesting as well. we have adversaries. sometimes we call them enemies, depending on how we want to impress people. but our enemies are watching every move we make. we have a brand-new president, and what you make of it in terms of national security, if they look across the ocean and say somebody doesn't trust this guy. speak well, i hope they understand we still have nuclear weapons. there is a big will here in this country to not accept attacks that are blatant and unnecessary and uncalled for in any way, whether it be us or our allies. i often say that the trump doctrine was a step back from george bush where it is not preeminent but certain. so if you do something to harm us, we absolutely will do something back, and i just hope that president biden understands the effectiveness of that.

i saw many more of my brothers, home from war with president trump, and a big reason was how he handled countries that did step out of line. it is bad and does, hopefully this nuclear football talk will not have a lot of effect. listening and paying attention to this. >> harris: well, yeah, they anticipate maybe they will get a seat back at the table again. if you are looking across the table that someone who represents as president, are you thinking less of our strength, based on some of these conversations? it's interesting. these are elected officials. he is not north at 150 million americans in this past presidential election, right? definitely, they voted, so what are democrats hoping to do. they don't want to leave this up to the people who elected as president? do they want to take on the power that isn't there is? >> well, it is strange to me.

failure the biden administration has been thus far. on monday, biden ran on covid numbers. covid numbers are a challenge still. he can't get covid relief through the centage. the biden economy is continuing to tank. americans have lost their jobs. instead of what he promised to do on day one, the only plan we have seen is dr. fauci saying you've got to wear to masks. that's the plan. that's the only plan that they have so far. americans need relief. they can't deliver on it. americans need relief from covid, and again, biden has failed that. i think the president is going to do a good job of reminding americans what it means to put america first because that is what he did for four years. we are seeing america last right now. >> harris: richard, i'm sure you have some remarks in response to that, but president biden said he couldn't stand the trajectory of covid-19, so he made a bunch of promises and then faced with

that transparency, what are we supposed to make of it? >> well, he has. we have seen the trajectory of disease, way, way down because we finally have somebody who, everybody in the administration, saying yes, wear a mask. engage in social distancing, and we are seeing the results of that. i hope donald trump remains in the face of the republican party. under his leadership, the republicans never got close to 47%. had historic losses in the midterms in 2018, and the economy, incidentally, what was supposedly his strong suit, forecast at the end of 2019, before we could pronounce that word, "coronavirus," goldman sachs casting six, 7% growth this year, and incidentally the republican governor of west virginia supports the covid package that joe biden has put forward.

as the 70% of the country, so i actually think he has gone off to an amazing start, and i'm not quite sure what this "i told you so" stuff is all about. >> the americans who lost their jobs because of joe biden's canceling of the keystone pipeline, if you're concerned about it. that is where it is happening. it is the economy, right? that's where the challenges. joe biden offers nothing to get americans back to work. all he has done is go to china, ghana's back into the paris accord where we will continue to diminish jobs. i am promoting the green new deal, which is a disaster for generations. that's the challenge. >> harris: i want to get to this. hold on, richard. karl rove says that he has two options. one approach would be to devote the speech to his anger over losing the election. there is a second approach of mr. trump take. he could empathize his agenda and contrasted with the bidens policies, tell us about his

future and what the g.o.p. will face in the next few years. richard, it will also tell democrats what they are going to face almost immediately. >> i went actually command one saying that karl rove said, which is that if donald trump donald trump conceded that joe biden had won the election, it would do a lot to heal the divisions in this country, rather that living in this dream world that he and supporters of his are living in. i think democrats know exactly what they are up against. let's take china as an example. all of the issues that predated the trump presidency, intellectual property theft, state subsidies, all of those are still, today, exactly the way that they were before, and there is something joe biden can do, which is bring allies to address them. >> harris: so, during this hour, and i'm going to bring you guys back, but democrats in your own party want to take away the
