penetrated, a big one and on the radar. >> bill: what alex berenson said. if you are a democrat in new york and the crosshairs of the "new york times" you have issues. >> dana: you are collecting enemies. >> bill: have an awesome weekend. >> dana: we'll see harris faulkner next on the "the faulkner focus". >> harris: yet more bombshell claims against new york governor andrew cuomo in both the nursing home and sexual harassment scandals. i'm harris faulkner and you're in "the faulkner focus". governor cuomo's office is being accused of altering a state health report in july and it was to downplay the total number of covid-19 patients killed in nursing homes. according to both the "wall street journal" and "the new york times" governor cuomo's aides pushed health officials to edit that report and leave out patients who died at hospitals after they had been

infected at long-term senior care facilities. this all reportedly happening right around the same time the governor was writing that book about his pandemic achievements. this, one of the three women accusing governor cuomo of sexual harassment is now speaking out. former staffer charlotte bennett says she believes cuomo propositioned her for sex and thinks he felt untouchable and could get away with the abuse because he was being propped up by the media. >> he is a textbook abuser. he lets his temper and his anger rule the office, but he was very sweet to me for a year in the hopes that maybe one day when he came on to me i would think we were friends or that it was appropriate. >> why do you think he was fixated on you as a survivor of

sexual assault? >> i think it is really strategic. i think abusers look for vulnerabilities, previous traumas. >> harris: alex hogan reporting for us in new york. >> hi, harris. three women accuse the governor of either sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior. we just heard one of those former aides, charlotte bennett spoke out on cbs last night. >> and he explains at that point that he is looking for a girlfriend, without explicitly saying it, he implied to me that i was old enough for him and he was lonely. >> meanwhile governor cuomo faces a second investigation. the "wall street journal" reporting his administration

knew about the true number of nursing home deaths but didn't report it. the changes mr. cuomo's aides made there was a fuller accounting of nursing home deaths as early as the summer of 2020. the health department resisted calls by state and federal lawmakers, media outlets and others to release the data for another eight months. that would have been a couple months before the release of governor andrew cuomo's book titled "leadership lessons from the covid-19 pandemic." earlier the state attorney general released a report that found the state under reported nursing home deaths by as much as 50%. the state did not count the deaths that took place at the hospital. the governor's office responding to the "wall street journal" report it couldn't verify those numbers saying, quote, this did not change the conclusion of the report which was and is that the march 25th order was not the driver of the

nursing home infections and fatalities. that march 25th directive sent recovering covid-19 patients back to long-term care facilities where more than 15,000 new yorkers died during the pandemic. today the new york legislators will likely vote whether or not to remove cuomo's pandemic emergency powers amid calls for him to resign. when it comes to new york voters according to a poll, 55% of people say they do not think that he should step down and 59% on the other hand say that they don't want to see him run again in 2022. really giving us a look at what new yorkers on the street have to say. harris. >> harris: thank you very much. we'll move to this. president biden is sending a white house team to the southern border as early as this weekend to see how bad the migrant crisis is getting. it comes as the administration is also reportedly planning to

convert some detention centers into ellis island-style rapid processing hubs to get migrants into the country quickly. and also texas governor greg abbott is going after the administration for letting covid positive migrants into the united states. yes, that's continuing to happen. we know the numbers are growing. and rejecting a proposal to partner with fema. this is the governor of texas to test and potentially quarantine infected migrants. the governor says this. instead of doing their job, the biden administration suggested it did not have the sufficient resources and remarkably asked texas to assist them in aiding their illegal immigration program. texas refused. we will not aid a program that makes our country a magnet for illegal immigration. i want to bring in senator ron johnson, republican from wisconsin. senator, thank you for being with me today. this is getting worse by the hour.

why is it so difficult for anyone to understand this is not the time to let covid positive people into the country? >> good morning, harris, because biden administration is committed to open borders and catch and release. it was dhs secretary jay johnson under the obama administration said a bad day for him was over a thousand illegal immigrants apprehended at the board. we're over 4,000 a day. that's a caravan a day. we're not properly testing people for covid. we are just releasing them. catch and release. it was a humanitarian crisis in 2014 according to president obama. what would you call this? no, this is a disaster. it is a disaster created by the biden's administration's open border policy. they stopped building the wall that was working. all the policies. migrant protection program. the agreements we had with central america. these things worked and we

brought down illegal immigration dramatically and it's heading back to the same level. the crisis level in may and march of 2019. >> harris: i want to get this in there. the facts on this are shifting all of a signed. they are getting some major pressback. greyhound bus company is asking the federal government for emergency funding, senator, to transport those migrants and the company ceo reportedly sent this letter to dhs saying in part, we need assurance that any detainees released by ice have proof of a negative covid-19 test similar to the proof required for international airline passengers who arrive at u.s. ports of entry. it is critical to public safety. again this seems logical. they didn't think of this? >> no, again we don't have the facilities to take care of these people, which is why we just disperse, process and disperse them to all over

america. and this is a national security issue. there are things called special interest aliens. people not necessarily from central america or mexico but from the middle east. this is also a national security problem. it is just a pipeline for the drug cartels and trans national criminal organizations as well. it is a huge national security issue that the biden administration is saying is only a challenge. no, this is a crisis. this is a disaster of their own making. >> harris: look, i want to get this in. coming our own peter doocy has caught this reuters report. the biden administration reportedly is considering a military base in virginia. we will work to confirm. we know about which one but i want to make sure we're spot on the money with it. they want to consider that military base in virginia to house unaccompanied migrant minors due to an increase in crossings at the border. it's exactly what you said. they are running out of room and now they will shift this. i don't know if it is hhs, the

military, the pentagon. this is burge oning. >> this is just the start. it will get much worse. it is taking a while for the word to get out to central america. when we have open borders. people waiting for another democrat administration to flood our borders and seek illegal entry into this country. again we've only seen the tip of the iceberg here. >> harris: wow. we'll continue to cover it. senator, thank you for your thoughts on it. let's move to this. i don't often use this term but i guess it's what they say on the hill. the senate is beginning a vote-a-rama on the massive $2 trillion relief bill. senator, you have forced them to read 628 pages pushing back against what you see is massive waste in this bill. and an 11-hour delay in debate through the early morning today.

why was it even necessary to get people in your position to read this? >> first of all because -- because the biden administration and chuck schumer who wants to jam through 1.9 trillion. 1,900 billion worth of spending with no committee process. had i not forced that 11-hour reading. i listened to the entire 11 hours. what we would have been doing is gone to vote-a-rama, no time to read the bill or prepare decent amendments. it would be over by now. this is not a covid relief bill. it is amazing how much spending will occur in the out years 2022, 23, 28. this is just democrats providing appropriations for their wish list. they use the reconciliation process because they couldn't pass it under regular order. >> dana: i think we have a

little bit of senator schumer. let's watch. >> we know this will merely delay the inevitable. it will accomplish little more than a few sore throats for the senate clerks who work very hard day in and day out to help the senate function. >> harris: is he right about that? >> i hope it forces debate. in 1993 the senate took up a $19 billion supplement appropriation bill and debated that for 12 days. finally whittled it down to $4 billion and passed unanimously. this bill alone will add 5800 of debt burden in every man, woman and child on top of everything. 18,000 of additional debt burden with covid relief. the jobs report came in 379,000 new jobs. the economy is ready to take off.

the problem at the border. migrants pouring in and the numbers growing including a spike in the number of unaccompanied children. president biden is sending a team there we're told, the white house team to assess the situation. he is reportedly looking at sending in fema, maybe as early as this weekend, and remember governor abbott has said he doesn't want to work with fema to test and do all of that and put them into facilities in texas. they've got a situation on their hands that they will need more people. casey stiegel is live in eagle pass, texas. casey, what is behind the increase as we look at this at the border? >> harris, a couple of different things. not just the pandemic but the perception that rules are more relaxed when it comes to getting into the country and in reality that is the case in some regards since a catch and release was reinstated instead of putting some of these migrants surend erg and claiming asylum instead of holding them in detention

they're being moved through the system and allowed to go into the interior of the united states and stay with relatives or whomever until they await their court dates. fema could be here as early as the next few days as you said as the white house is now sending a team to get eyes on the ground here and then report back to the president. the rio grande valley of south texas we have reported from here for years has always been a hot spot for illegal crossings. now it is just on steroids. this is video shot yesterday of young children who had crossed and surrendered to agents. bigger groups are also turning up. hundreds of miles away even, for instance in the big bend sector. some who live down here feels like they've reached the tipping point. >> unfortunately had bodies -- dead bodies on the river. not to mention the bodies that are in the brush. and so we're trying to deal with all of that.

a year ago. what we do is we got to find out what policies have been working moving forward. i understand when you have a new administration you are going to want to change some of the policies from the past administration but you have to look at what policies actually work and what don't. you can't just remove policies without putting other policies in place. right now i think is the time when we need to see what worked, what didn't work, and moving forward we need to understand that it is not something that affects just one political party. it is something that affects all americans and that's what we need to focus on. >> harris: i want to quickly scoot this in. covid-19 in the mix with all of in you have greyhound now saying if you want that company to truck the migrants who are coming into the country, you are letting them in biden administration, we need negative covid testing and probably something to cover their expense. i don't know what those dollars look like. you'll need some help. >> right. one of the big things. regular american citizens they

>> harris: president biden's push to get a massive stimulus bill through congress might face increased opposition thanks to a strong monthly jobs report which came out this morning. the united states added 379,000 jobs in one month just in february alone. more than twice as many as were expected and the unemployment rate fell to 6.2%. steve forbes joins me now, chairman and editor in chief of forbes media. great to see you. i have wanted to hear your opinion of what we are looking at today all morning. what is it? >> very positive. the trend is very, very much upward. vaccines are working and getting around. this economy is ready to surge. even states like california for political reasons are now starting to open up. in addition they opened states like texas and florida where they're booming. you see it in job openings.

they're over 6 million. in florida, for example, you cannot get a construction crew for three months in the housing market. things are starting to perk and evidence of it posively going in the right direction. >> harris: president biden's white house chief of staff tweeted this. if you think today's jobs report is good enough, then know that at this pace it would take until april of 2023 to get back to where we were in february of 2020. steve. >> if they stop putting barriers in the way of the economy we would do it before 2022, 2023. that's why the administration is the greatest obstacle to the economy. nearly $2 trial binge bill they have only one-third is for anything to do with covid. the rest is political payoffs to states that have mismanaged their economies like new york, california, illinois, new jersey. so they don't need most of that bill. it will suck resources out and lead to inflation in the future.

why? because the federal reserve will be printing money. already the federal government has one trillion they haven't spent from previous bills. now they add another two trillion? it is a formula for disaster and much higher interest rates than we're already experiencing. >> harris: just a few seconds talk to me about inflation. that's what people are listening for today. you can't afford for things to get much more expensive as people realize a better economy. >> that's right. because how do you pay for all of this binge spending? do it with the federal reserve printing money out of thin air. we had that disaster back in the 1970s. looks like they'll do it again. not only higher prices going into 2022 but much higher interest rates. we're getting a taste of it now. apologists will stay it's a one time thing. when you print up hundreds of billions of dollars it will be with us for quite a while in a bad way. >> harris: what do you think the administration needs to do
