why should the cc. get lectured by the americans? we are teaching our eighth graders critical race theory. we are fighting amongst ourselves constantly calling each other racists or worse. words matter. words from the progressive woke left are reverb rating across the world. and hurting the u.s.' standing as the freest, fairest and strongest super power of the world. as i have said many times, it is not enough to denounce the ccp as bad. it is not enough to point out the decades of intellectual property theft, the genocide on its people. it is not enough to denounce the authoritarian control the ccp yeelz in hong kong and across the world. no, you have to actually believe that the free world is superior to the communists. you have to believe the system lifts people from property and creates an american freedom never seen before. but how can you? how can you say the free world

is superior when you are constantly talking about systemic racism and how bad america is? when you are assuming our seventh and eighth graders are born racist and need to identify as a human not as mom and dad, not as he or she. not as white or black. how can you truly justify this system is superior? the ccp is following all of our political tee baits very closely and they're using this propaganda to divide us. the biden administration and the progressives in congress should know that. my parents lived the american dream. my grandfather carmine embarrassment came to this country infantry in 1906 with $12 in his pocket. my mother's grandfather came years earlier in 18 6. also with just a few dollars in his pocket. what courage it must have taken for both for carmine to leave family and friends that he knew so well in naples and for my

at the rex manor. that was my very first job. i learned firsthand what it means to work hard. what it means to earn it, to love this country, and yell it from the rooftops. america is the greatest country in the world. our freedoms, our liberties are unmatched. we cannot take them for granted. it is the reason our young people go and risk sometimes lose their lives in battle fields across the world. we need to thank them and we need to celebrate this greatness of america. stand tall in protecting it. sure, we make mistakes. and we must continue to get better. but we are not a systemic racist country. we are the best system in the world. know it, unfortunately, not enough of us are yelling from the roof tops. our adversaries know that. we are faced with a serious adversary in communist china that wants to overtake this greatness. words matter. and the chinese communist party

is using those words against us. the progressives in congress need to start understanding this before the chinese empire gets any stronger. joining me right now to talk a little more about that is a man who knows the ccp's motives better than most the former director of national intelligence john ratcliffe. john, it is great to see you don't. thanks so much for being here. >> you bet, maria. >> maria: a lot of conversation about what took place in this first meeting between the u.s. and the chinese communist party leaders. your reaction to what has taken place? >> well, it's hard to imagine a worse start for the biden administration in their first meeting with china to have chinese officials call out our top dip, disrespect them, lecture them while on u.s. soil, really send a message that china hasn't sent for the last four years. listen to the language they use. they said that the u.s. is not in a position of strength to

tell china what to do. that's something that we haven't heard the last four years. and it seems that china wants to make it real clear that they are in charge and that they are going to make the rules. so, anyone that was under the misconception that maybe this was going to be, you know, china offering some collaboration or cooperation or even an apology for covid-19 or that they would be promising to reform their actions with the uighur muslims in jing jiang province i think all of that went out the window pretty quickly. china told us that they intend to dictate the rules of the world order and i think we should be listening to what china is saying. as a person who has seen the most intelligence on this over the last year, i have said often listen, china is our number one threat. the american people see it's our number one threat. now all you have to do is listen to what china said the last two days and i think everyone should appreciate that. >> maria: what about the democrat agenda? how does that make it tougher to

deal with china? we know that the left is pushing things like the green new deal, thinking that maybe china will cooperate on climate change even despite these broken promises. your reaction? >> yeah. so, you know, as bad as the last few days have been for secretary blinken and national security adviser sullivan it gets worse. because now your tough talk has been called. they called your bluff. so it requires tough action. but you have got a president in president biden who is part of the obama-biden administration doesn't have a history of that it was a pattern of eight years of appeasement of china that allowed for the rise of china. it was those obama-biden military budgets that disseminated our military and allowed china to rise. to your point, maria, what you have also got now is a progressive socialist democrat run congress that the last thing they want is confrontation with

china. it's not part of the progressive agenda. their agenda is globalization. their agenda is not confronting challenging china. they don't want money spent on military budgets as you point out. they want from the progressive wish list, they want our money spent on free healthcare and free college education and green new deal energy subsidies for wind mills and everything else. so, it's going to get more difficult for the biden administration when the american people know as a result of all the things that we have been saying, everyone realizes now that china is america's number one national security threat and china is making it real clear that they are not our friends and that they intend to replace us as the world's super power. >> maria: is the biden administration somewhat crippled because of the relations that president biden's son has had in china? we have talked many times about 10% for the big guy, the memo that was unearthed on hunter

biden's computer. any thoughts there? >> well, i think that the pattern with joe biden has been clear. as i said, it's been one of appeasement over the years. and, you know, there have been questions, fair questions raised over the conduct of the biden family generally that frankly the american media hasn't been paying attention to. and then you just had this, you know, continuation of, you know, all of joe biden's tough talk has been reserved for russia. you know, calling vladimir putin a killer when, you know, 2 million uighurs in jing jiang province would tell you that makes president xi a mass murderer. why we are reserving our tough talk from this administration for russia which is clearly not as great a threat as china continues to baffle me and i think, you know, hopefully that there will be a course correction. again, the challenge is i don't think this administration is full of people that want to take

the appropriate cause of action, course of action to address the china threat. and i certainly know that their progressive socialist congress is going to make that more difficult. >> maria: i'm going to turn to russia real quick you said with me on our programs what the ccp does -- and i want you to speak to the businesses out there that are gearing up to start operate their businesses in china right now. you told me it's rob, replicate, replace. explain that. >> right. so they steal our intellectual property. they take the best technology that we have. they steal it, they replicate and it produce it at a cheaper rate and put american businesses that developed that technology out of business. that is really is how china has risen and how they have grown their economy. they have literally stolen their way to the top. and they are going to continue to do that unless they are challenged. and you saw the trump administration do that through

policies that held them accountable and through trade agreements that really put china on its heals. unfortunately the language that i see coming out of anchorage, alaska, really shows that china wants things to go back the way they were during the obama-biden administration good old days. and very clearly we're going to be looking uphill, fighting uphill with china if we allow that to happen. >> maria: i want to ask you about other issues but real quick on russia, the other day as you mentioned, president biden was asked is vladimir putin a killer? biden said yes. putin found out about this and punt responded. here's a soundbite of what vladimir putin said to president biden, watch. >> i remembered my childhood when we argued in the courtyard. we used to say it takes one to know one. as he said, we know each other

personally. what would i reply to him? i would say i wish you health. i wish you health. i say that without any irony or joke. >> maria: i wish you health. that was quite chilling. >> yeah, again, i don't understand, you know, the approach that the biden administration is taking. joe biden is the president. he doesn't need to keep this narrative that russia is worse. listen, vladimir putin is a terrible guy. but getting that this name-calling and exclusively with respect to russia when we have greater threats like china out there really is not productive and what you saw is that he responded in a very calculated way and, you know, i think the come back from the white house is that, you know, joe biden doesn't -- is going to be too busy this weekend to visit with vladimir putin. so he has been called out by putin in response and, it's

really a puzzling approach that the biden administration has taken with respect to this. >> maria: john, you have seen in your role the most intelligence that anybody has seen other than the president as the director of national intelligence. i have been wanting to ask you this next question for a while. i want to ask you about ufos, unidentified flying objects. the pentagon is going to come out with a report by june 1st and in the $2.3 trillion omnibus appropriations legislation passed in january, it includes the intelligence authorization act money for the pentagon to continue investigating ufos, john. we are going to get this report june 1st. can you tell us have unidentified flying objects been seen? >> well, sure, we have lots of reports about what we call unidentified aerial phenomenon. this actually is a program that's been in place for a if fw

years in terms of a task force there under the national definition authorization act. as you correctly point out, maria. there is now a report that will be issued why the pentagon, by the secretary of defense and the director of national intelligence. i actually wanted to get this information out and declassified before i left office, but we weren't able to get it down into an unclassified format that we could talk about quickly enough. but, frankly, there are a lot more sightings than have been made public. some of those have been declassified. and when we talk about sightings, we are talking about objects seen by navy or air force pilots or picked up by satellite imagery that frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain, that movements that are hard to replicate that we don't have the technology for. traveling at speeds that exceed the sound barrier without a sonic boom. so, in short, things that we are observing that are difficult to explain.

and so, you know, there is actually dwight a few of those. there is quite a few of those. and information will be put out in the way that the american people can see. we always when we see these things, maria, we always look for a plausible explanation. weather can cause disturbances, visual distinguish bans sometimes we wonder whether or not our adversaries have technologies that are a little bit further down the road that we thought or we realized. but there are instances where we don't have good explanations for some of the things that we have seen. and, you know, when that information becomes declassified, i will be able to talk a little bit more about that. >> maria: can you tell us where it was seen? >> actually, all other the world. there have been sightings all over the world. and when we talk about sightings, the other thing i will tell you it is not just a pilot or a satellite, or some intelligence collection, usually we have multiple sensors that are picking up these things so,

♪ >> maria: welcome back. well, presentations are underway at the white house next thursday president biden will hold his first formal news conference since taking office. most recent past presidents including president donald trump already had a news conference by this point in their presidencies, so why did it take biden so long and will he take any tough questions when he finally faces reporters? are joining me right now is kayleigh mcenany, she is former trump white house press secretary and a fox news analyst. kelley, it's united states to see you don't, thanks for joining us. >> great to see you. >> maria: your reaction to the administration announcing this press conference a week away? >> it's an extraordinary decision, an absolutely puzzling one. dana perino, one of may predecessors has commented on this network that, you know, you don't announce press conference until the morning. i had the same rule in my press conference. you don't know what the news cycle is nine days in advance. we know there is a crisis on the

southern border that they refuse to acknowledge. no one know what is that will look like in nine days but i imagine it will be worse. so she announces this, jen psaki, the press secretary in advance presumably to get the media off her heels but in doing this creates a lot of pressure on president biden that no matter the news cycle he will be at that podium. >> maria: well, let's not forget there is a media blackout over the border right now, cailee, and i know that you were there every day at that podium answering questions, whatever those questions were lobbed at you. we are hearing that there is, in fact, an unofficial gag order, the biden administration has told the patrol agents at the border to not share any information about what's going on in the migrant crisis with reporters. >> yes. so now we know exactly why that gag order exists. there was a democrat senator today who went town to look at one of these facilities, senator murphy, and came out and said that he was almost brought to tears by what he saw with these

children. so, that's why the gag order exists because in effect when a sitting senator gets a look at it they have got to shut off the media, shut off the access because if america saw those images there would be a lot of pressure on president biden. >> maria: well, it's very unfortunate to see what took pleas with president biden tripping on his way into air force one, the plane. we have this video here, of course. nobody wants to see this from the commander-in-chief, obviously. he got to the top. and saluted and at joint base andrews. but it's one day after another gaffe when he was at the podium and he actually referred to the vice president as the president. let's roll that tape. watch. >> now, when president harris and i took a virtual tour of a vaccination center in arizona.

>> maria: president harris. your reaction? >> have you quote to wonder because it's becoming a pattern. he said something to the effect on the campaign trial like the harris-biden ticket or his staff had insignia on one of his campaign stops with that on there. you have got to wonder whether interest is more to this than just a slip of the tongue. with regard to the stairs, i will say it's very unfortunate. i remember following the president off of marine one and i would board those same stairs after him and you always got nervous about slipping with the media watching. it can certainly happen to just about anyone. >> maria: it certainly can but the media reacted in the president had the smallest of missteps. let's roll that video. here is the media who covered president trump. >> images like this, and even his speaking ability, or lack thereof during this, again, undercuts their argument that biden is a dotterring old man. >> i have become slightly obsessed with watching president

desantis echoing former president trump this week so should that be a model for the rest of the country. joining me now is former republican congressman byron mcdonald. thank you for joining us tonight. not only are you a congressman from florida but you are a father of three in school. your reaction? >> my reaction is simple. governor desantis is absolutely correct. what we want to make sure we do is understand that our children are taught the full history of the united states. yeah, we have dark spots in our history. i'm the first to acknowledge that we also have to understand that our country is the great story of redemption in world history. we are a far better country than we were 100 years ago, 200 years ago. we need to embrace our history but also understand and embrace the country we are today and the country we continue to become every single year going forward. so i applaud the governor and his decision. we need to see more of that in the other 49 states. >> maria: right on. i want to ask you about education in general because the

two sides had a completely different approach to education. we all know that many parents who are watching us tonight may very well not have their kids in school because we are waiting for schools to open. we also know that the democrats are against school choice republicans are pushing school choice. your reaction to this and what do you think is the way to go, the right way? >> the way to go is for our school systems to actually enter the information age, maria. and by using that what you want to do is actually create an economy for education. you see, patience need to have s need to have the purchasing power to place their children in the environment that works best for them. that's something my mother did for me and countless mothers across the united states and fathers, for that matter, want to do for their children. the days of being trapped by your zip code, being locked into a public school system that has a top-down approach where there is no flexibility actually doesn't reward and treat the fact that children learn

differently those days are over. we have to have an academic system that actually let's parents choose pause they know what's best for their children not government, not bureaucrats. >> maria: so congressman, i mean, this is only one issue of several issues that are in contrast when you look at the two sides' approach, assess the agenda. the biden agenda. we have got obviously the covid package, 1.9 trillion-dollar package and we're waiting on another package which will include higher taxes, not to mention the border disaster. what strikes you most about the biden agenda? >> this is one of the most progressive agendas we have ever seen in the united states. have you wondered by bernie sanders isn't saying anything? why aoc isn't saying anything? because they are very happy with the direction that joe biden is going, which means it's bad for americans and it's bad for america. joe biden ran on this platform. it didn't make much sense, but he ran on this platform of trying to save the democracy.

what we are seeing up here on capitol hill, is he is destroying the republic. no other president has ever signed 50 executive actions and orders. nancy pelosi is taking bills from her office directly to the floor bypassing all committees. the american people aren't even allowed in the nation's capitol, maria. this is not the way our republic is supposed to function. our republic is of the people, by the people and for the people. not for by somebody from delaware or somebody from san francisco and that is exactly what's happening. it's a destructive agenda for our country. >> maria: meanwhile, she is calling her election changes her reform bill for the people. i keep saying it should be called for the politicians. what is your view on hr 1? >> your view is exactly right. listen, if you are going to give politicians a 6 to 1 match of taxpayer dollars for contributions lower than $200 all you are going to do is empower politicians. if you take away voter i.d., which has been passed in 33

>> well, in indiana, like attorney generals offices across the nation we have investigative powers. that's where this goes next whether it's antitrust or whether it's deceptive practices or whether it's just general consumer protection. we can investigate, we can gather facts and the facts could lead us to some lawsuits in the public interest. and so we will see. you know, we don't file lawsuits before we have the facts but we certainly can get to the bottom of some of this and that's exactly what i intend to do as well as a number of other issues that attorney general's across the state are working on. first line of defense, maria, on what has become an attack on american values. >> maria: yes, you have. and we have been speaking with a number of your colleagues this week who are pushing back on the biden agenda beginning with ken paxton in texas. here's a montage of just a couple of the interviews from this week. take a look. >> they have created this

narrative that anybody can come and they don't seem to be sending people back across like they are supposed to. so, i'm looking forward to our day in court to show exactly what they are doing. and hopefully to stop this. >> what president biden is doing is opening the flood gates to individuals from across the globe and particularly, you know, would he know that there are good people coming across the border. >> maria: so this was arkansas as well as texas a.g. but we also today, my office spoke with alabama as well as kansas and a.g. derek schmidt in kansas has filed a suit challenging the administration's arbitrary and capricious cancellation of the keystone xl pipeline. also alabama's a.g. is also pushing back asking the administration to reverse this decision. tell me about the agenda and where you have issues. >> well, those are some great names and they have become good friends. and i have also had some long standing friends whether it's geoff landry in louisiana we

served in congress together. it jeff -- we served in congress together. leslie rutledge have you mentioned she is a new friend. patrick morrisey in west virginia i can go on and on. these are great americans. it's not just throwing bombs or using rhetoric. it's fact-based investigations that we're doing to right the ship, to save america. to keep us the best country trip in the world and the best experiment that world history has ever seen. but that's what we are sago. -- we aredoing. i still think america's best days are ahead of us. i choose to be the happy warrior in all of this as the others have mentioned. but that's the way through liberty-loving americans that we are going to save this country. >> maria: but the federal government is trying to take power away from the states. i mean, let's face it. when you look at h are 1, this election reform bill, that's federalizing elections. the constitution says that the states run their own elections.

so there's that. >> right. >> maria: then there is 1. trillion-dollar spending package and in the fine print we notice that if your state or locality is getting any money, you are not allowed to cut taxes for five years. tell me about that. >> well, you know, going back to the keystone pipeline, indiana joined eric submit in missouri that case will be fighting against the pork and everything else that's in this -- this package that biden just passed including the right of states to determine their own tax structure. to me, that is clearly uncop constitutional. there is no precedent for that whatsoever. and then they can go on and on. each, you know, even with the $9.5 trillion tax that the biden administration has put on the cost of carbon, right? so there is an example where out of thin air, no pun intended, the administration said the social cost of carbon is

$9.5 trillion. and all the agencies that run the different parts of our economy need to write rules, regulations to offset that $9.5 trillion. so what that means is more costs for your fuel, more costs for yours groceries. more cost for durable goods like a refrigerator or car for example. and that means as an american, as a hoosier, if you are paying more for those things that you can't have the money to yourself to do what you want with. so it's taking away your liberty. and that's what we will be fighting against. >> maria: well, they are under the impression that china is going to help us with climate change. china is the biggest polluter in the world and they want to produce products for the world. go to china and the stink of production in factories gets under your skin immediately. any thoughts on the meeting today in alaska between the u.s. and the chinese officials? >> well, i was laughing there, maria, so i don't cry. china is on the march. they are on the rise. they think they are going to have the 21st century. and this administration is

♪ ♪ >> maria: welcome back, a blockbuster new report on a top democrat donor and his ties to u.s. intelligence. next guest john solomon is the founder of "just the news" and

he has the details. john, what can you tell us? >> listen, there was this guy a democrat in washington who raised lots of money, millions of dollars for the obama/biden ticket for hillary clinton in 2016. last month he pleaded guilty and he said i admit i funneled foreign money into those elections to benefit those candidates. that in and of itself is a scandal, but now what we have learned from multiple u.s. intelligence sources, that was working the entire time he was raising the money for the u.s. intelligence committee on multiple operations, multiple activities. so a lot of great questions. first off, we hear from joe biden all the time. there wasn't a hint of stand-alone obama/iran years. we've had fast and furious, the russian collusion scandal, but now we know barack obama was a beneficiary and second the money changes hands and was working for the intelligence community

and third, we find out the reason intelligence career came to an end was because the prosecutors wanted him to turn on donald trump fund-raiser and he didn't have anything to give them on donald trump so they threw the book at him and he ended up with 12 years in prison. >> maria: unbelievable, once again our intelligence agency being politicized and use as weapons against political enemies. so this guy has been helping foreign money get into the campaign of these democrats come obama, clinton, biden, et cetera. and then the intelligence agencies ask him, we want you to cooperate in taking down donald trump. he wouldn't do it so they take him down. >> yeah, it was the justice department, the u.s. attorney's office that wanted him to say you gave foreign money to obama but you must have given it to donald trump. he didn't. he didn't want to lie. at that point they were willing to give him a one million-dollar fine and walk.

but once he couldn't help donald trump, they turned on him in a big way and ran him up. one of the largest prison sentences ever given for a campaign finance violation. it shows you what happens when you turn on the justice department. you don't give them what they want during the donald trump they are is. >> maria: be accountability for the first law with funneling foreign money into these campaigns? >> the accountability if there is heavy for him from $18 million in fines, 12 years in prison. he is a pulling that. at the big question is -- >> maria: what about competition? >> what about hillary clinton's campaign and asked to refund the money? so far we have not been able to get an answer from either one, but you are right, they don't immediately focus on this on walking scot-free once again. >> maria: well, they are not focusing on the story we talked about now for five years, and that is this attempt to take down donald trump whatever it
