able to gather so far these huge piles of tree debris. pieces of roof, grills just a ton of personal belongings that they've been able to gather, obviously, for a lot of homeowners out here, it is going to be long road to recovery. some of whom you know have portions offer that home missing. this home right here behind me as we flip around you can quite literally see inside of the home and inside of the bedroom there. and you know for a lot of people, it is just hard to figure out where to even begin. >> we have no idea -- just try to move forward with making sure they get where they need to be at, and pick up pieces when they are -- you know there are people in georgia trying to pick up the pieces too. you can see the significant damage left behind after a tornado tore through homes and

businesses there earlier this week. georgia governor brian kemp says it is unlike anything he's ever seen. but help is on the ground. >> i mean i've never seen anything like it. literally houses ripped off the foundation and pulling anchor bolts out of concrete was how powerful this storm was but we have a great team over there and stay there as long as we need. >> an you heard governor, he says those teams are going stay there as long as they need as exactly what the volunteers out here are saying. they're going stay here until they get the job done. arthel. arthel: very good because people there need all of the help they can get charles watson thank you very much. eric. eric: that is for sure meanwhile two people are killed eight were wounded in multiple shootings in virginia beach, virginia last night. police said shootings began along water front in a second unrelated shooting ended nearby with an officer they say shooting and killing an alleged murder suspect.

lauren blancheard has more afnlg an murder officer involved car shooting left their department scrambling. >> what you can see is we have a very chaotic incident, a very chaotic night in the beach. many different crime scenes. according to a preliminary investigation released saturday police say an argument then physical fight friday night turned into a gun battle. a victim had serious to life-threatening gun shot wounds. while officers were managing that scene, police say they heard more gun fire a few blocks away. and found a woman shot to death they do not believe two incidents are related. then police say an officer shot and killed an arm suspect shot near the woman's body while this was going on a virginia beach police officer was struck by a vehicle, and taken to the hospital with minor injuries thankfully they were treated and released. >> pretty sure shooter was right

shipments of lining under behind this strappedded shep we saw today salvage experts from a dutch company working to try to shift the sand around the ship and remove water from it. you have seen tug boats out there trying to refloat it too and authorities saying saying wl slight shipment but not enough to shift it though there's hope that the stern of the ship isn't as termly lodged into the ground as first feared. now, this giant ship, the evergreen is over 400 yards long that is straddled right across the width of the suez canal meaning absolutely nothing can part it. the ship is stacked with heavy container and removing them could be risky. now the u.s. government as you say has offered to help offering also equipment and expertise to help egypt reopen this canal. and this is really critical now, because there are over 300 ships waiting to pass through the

he says immigration will be a priority meanwhile we're looking at a live look from our drone shot over the southern border in mission, texas. where a board officials are still encountering hundreds of migrants every day. mark meredith is live in wilmington, delaware where the president is spending his weekend at home with more. hi, mark. >> arthel, good afternoon. senate republicans are calling for president biden to head down to the border some time soon. the president has said in the past he would go although it is unclear when that will happen and white house insist, though, that the president does have a firm grasp about what's going on at border and president himself has said he was expecting this large surge of my graduates because of the weather not to mention the economic conditions that so many of these latin american countries are in right now still the white house says it is working to do all it can to address migration issues with several countries especially and including mexico. >> there are capacity issues in mexico which we are in discussions with them about addressing.

and they are not in a position to accept and take the families that they have in the past so that's part of the diplomatic discussions that we're having. >> this week the white house announcing that vice president kamala harris will lead the administration's efforts to address the migrant surge, however, her spokesperson was asked about this on friday, and she was told that the vice president right now has no plans to visit the border any time soon. this weekend also homeland security secretary alejandro is dismissing some members of an independent advisor committee for dhs, several trump era officials are among those losing their spots on this committee. but a dhs official tells fox changes are routine especially when leadership changings at the department of homeland security now republicans, though, are frustrated of this saying that current administration should be looking at experts to get a sense of what can be done to address what has been happening on the border. but no indication yet that president biden plans to rely any of the past administration policies, when it comes to the border. as for the president no events

is a very frightening thing to live in america. but have to be worried about your security at your own home. eric: that was evette here in fox news channel with me last week i interviewed her on sunday as she said was planning to meet with a family that owns a ranch. that happens to sit right on the southern border, and seen the migrant influx for years. the johnson family cattle ranch is near columbus, new mexico it is luna account during trump administration part of the border wall was built right along johnson family property. but after president biden stopped the project about three quarters of a mile was left open. wide open, the family says, like an open invitation to america. with this now is new mexico rancher johnson joins us thank you for joining us. tell us about this situation on your land. what has been happening what have you been seeing have migrants traipsing through your property? >> thanks for having me on eric.

first of all, we're seeing a horrible increase in traffic to our area. border patrol agents are stretched pretty thin. we've, i talked to border patrol agent yesterday he said they just caught nine illegal aliens in one of our border -- beard excuse me my some of our ranch buildings further up north approximately five miles north of the border. and these are people that came right through this gap that was left because biden administration put a halt on this border wall project. eric: so you have been living with this for a long time you have that situation where what are they doing coming into buildings, take stuff, you know what's it like living with this? >> we've experienced everything from homes being broke into, cattle theft, vehicles stolen, other buildings broken into, pastureland burnght by illegals they get lost, they give up.

it is trying to signal for help. so they'll light a pasture on fire. we've had lots of, lots of trash left behind. it's only getting worse and it is because of all of the policy it is that the biden administration has rolled back that the trump administration put into place and was working. so when people say that the biden doesn't have a plan, this plan has been to rollback everything that worked. eric: what is that rollback specifically mean to you when you wake up in the morning go out on your ranch and look and count your cattle? >> you never know what you're going to encounter out here what people don't realize is we don't have the family units and unaccompany minors approaching our area of the border. what we have is the criminal ailment that we're seeing. the people that border patrol encountering out here have gang tattoos, my mother encountered two different groups on a ranch

by herself horseback last week, and they were wearing all camouflage wearing ski masks. so when i see all of the news coverage just being about unaccompany minor and family units people are forgetting not realizing what we're doing the in rural areas is a criminal element and it affects the safety of not just our families, our business. but this stuff is going further into the country. it is not staying here. it's coming to a home near you. >> that must have been pretty scary. for your mom what did she do? >> well she tried to get away from the situation as quick as possible. and you know, we don't have cell phone communication out here either. and so when stuff like that happens, you can't call for help. you're literally left on your own. last week also we had a individual approach my parents house. they live about a mile away from

me. and he was an illegal admitted he came from mexico. we called border patrol and said they needed to come pick this guy up, and it was over an hour before anybody was able to respond that. so when you take me, i've got a family and young kids, if i'm away, and they encounter something like this and you're looking at potentially an hour response time, for help -- there's a lot of bad things that can happen in an hour. eric: you're on national television now finally this is an opportunity from the heart -- tell the officials in washington, d.c. who are responsible what you think should be done. what would you say and what diewpght to tell them? >> i would tell thement quit politicizing this issue. i don't understand how safety and security of not just thoughts on border but the nation as a whole how can that be politicized? do the right thing. finish the border wall project.

state of emergency rules back in effect nor the second weekend. the police trying to control large crowds as some parties have descended into chaos. jonathon is live in miami beach with more. jonathon. >> hi there arthel. so far so good, this weekend, curfews appear to be working you can see there's a steady stream of people behind me on ocean drive. they do anticipate the crowds will get a little bit thicker as we go into the evening. but nothing like we've been seeing during previous weeks where you had larger and more raucous crowds. city of miami beach has been enforcing an 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew in the islands entertainment district where i am. after 10 p.m. police are blocking car traffic to the island, for nearly everyone except for residents, hotel guests, delivery drivers, and people traveling to work. and neighboring communities are stepping up patrols to prevent unruly tourist from bringing the

party to their neck of the woods. >> we will also not tolerate any kind of rowdy behavior, breaking, personal property, hurting people. lawlessness, that's not going to be tolerated in the city of miami. reporter: many island residents and work rs say restrictions are needed to discourage fights and property damage that have occurred during past weekends. but many spring break tourists say 8 p.m. curfew is too early. >> that's a you know how much you pay for a hotel room just a night? 481 dollars for a night. a night. and now, and now it is not that we have to go home we have to go inside freaking hotel at 8:00 this is not right. >> but so far this weekend, arthel, things are going pretty well. back to you. arthel: good to hear but those young people need to remember there's still a pandemic going on.

oh -- okay. thanks jonathon, eric. eric: people -- who are eligible for the covid vaccine are struggling to get it and some cases they're not even tiebl leave their home to get a shot so the vaccines are coming to them. casey from a fox affiliate in birmingham, alabama explains. >> i think that it is really important that these patients are not forgotten about. covid-19 vaccine now becoming available to those who couldn't access it before. even if patients are home bound. there's a lot of traffic getting out of their homes a lot of traffic that is just necessary in order to provide their care. they're at just as high risk of contracting covid-19 if they were home bound or not. >> uab house call program is now administering pfizer covid-19 vaccine at patients homes. so far, they've already given out 60 shots. >> they've traveled to the homes, give the vaccines to the

scheduled patients and their caregivers, and then also wait with them for 15 minutes to monitor for any signs of a reaction. she says it is just as safe as getting shot at a vaccine clinic. >> we have the necessary equipment and medications to be able to handle a reaction in the home. lawson says because of cold chain requirements they can only schedule six shots a day. but they plan to expand once more vaccines become available. >> once we do, that will give us the opportunity to be able to get more vaccines in arms in a single day. >> state allotment while they can only do six each day lawson says she knows they're still making an impact. >> we anticipate we'll be administering 130 to 150 vaccine to patients in their caregivers in their home over next several weeks. >> that was cast cassie in birmingham, alabama on more how to make vaccines accessible to

disabled let's bring in center for dignity and health care with people with disabilities. doctor thank you for joining us and start by telling us more about your efforts what are your current challenges and how do you -- plan to improve access? >> yeah. thank you for having me. i think some of the challenges right now for people with disabilities are really relatable by many americans that are trying to find that appointment slot and get there to get their vaccines. it is so important that whole process is excessable for learning about vaccine to signing up to actually going to the site and getting the vaccine itself. so it is hopefully here with new plan like taking to people homes and to reach the whole community large and diverse we need lots of different options so we've heard of the vaccination sites and those works for some people because they might be able to have sign language interpret tear and for other people including beam autism or who

sensory experience is being large crowded space might not be feasible we need other options to reach our whole community. arthel: for instance, according to the cdc about 12 million americans over the age of 40 have impaired vision, including one million who are blind and national association of the deaf from its study in 2011 found that 48 million americans are deaf or hard of hearing. so i would imagine trying to access websites would be difficult. >> definitely. so many blanked people use screen readers to be able to navigate a website, and investigation by kaiser family health found that only 13 out of 90 at the state website were accessible to using these screen readers so while that's discouraging in the moment our center dignity has partnered with the disability health research center at john hopkins and we're tracking those excessibility measures every week because we hope to see states listen up and improve those websites.

so that at least people can access information and also register to get those shots in arms. arthel: very good what about in home vaccinations with people with mobility challenges? >> yeah. i think that is an important option for many people who might not be able to leave home and hear with law enforcement, and fire department where we've heard of a leftover vaccine that end of the day those are taken out by ems crews to home where is people can't leave but many, many people with mobility challenges simply need basic accessibility i myself in a wheelchair user i can go to a vaccination site i need it to be accessible as expected by americans with disabilities act so acceptability needs to be a expectation not an aspiration in this case. >> very good. very good. are you coordinating with biden administration if so how are they helping and if not how can they help? >> yeah. i'm expected to speak with biden covid health equity task force

in upcoming day our meeting was just rescheduled we don't have a date yet. but i'm excited to work with other groups too who are working with populations that are faced disparities during the covid pandemic i think a big misunderstanding that people with disabilities, you know, are based on our health status or just our symptoms or diagnoses and really we're a social group of our own more likely getting multiply marginalized so a health equity issue and biden administration is looking at it from that lens as we're working together and improve outcome. arthel: that's wonderful to hear and i want to let everybody know for more information how the disabled and their caregivers can get access to vaccines that can visit center for dignity.com/covid-19. that is center for dignity.com/covid-19. and dr. i'll give you 25 seconds to share some final thoughts you might have. >> thank you. you know, the covid-19 pandemic has taught us many blessings
