about who our adversaries are and what the threat is. the second thing i think that is pretty important here is that the american people have accepted the reality now that china is the most significant threat to american security and to themselves. that holds the view of the majority of the american people. that puts some wind at the back of this new administration. they know full well that their behavior towards china cannot be what it was with the obama/biden administration which for eight years largely appeased china up until very end of it. this administration was essentially same people i may add for our audience to audience that we're in the obama administration doing foreign policy most of this entire foreign policy national security team that biden has was in that previous team so we all have concerns about their tendency to appease our adversaries much more so than would be required

mark: welcome back tom homan former director. director none this have acting stuff of i.c.e. -- people are coming across this border they're not being tested for various diseases and so forth you know in the old days you kopght get into this country if you have some kind of a disease -- if you didn't have a way to pay for yourself and so forth we talk about ellis island all of the days of ellis island. today it is come across no matter what. what's going on? >> look we know all that there's a couple of hundred illegal
4:51 pm
immigrants across that border that were released into our community that is bout of covid we know that but what we don't know is right now look at the border patrol data, they're saying they have to where thousands a day a thousand over a thousand. what are these? these are people that set off centers and cram traffic and drone traffic, and foot traffic that border patrol can't respond to because they're too busy changing doctors making baby formula and transportation and family groups. in the border patrol clearly said 40% of their manpower is no longer on the line so families turn themselves over to border patrol and released with uac with a phone number where they're going and adult males bad guys, the drugs -- they're coming to the ports, i mean, the parts of the border where there's no border patrol agents because they're tied up with family group. a thousand got today how many of them are affected with covid we don't know how many are members we know during the last family surge, that 62,000 americans died from opioid overdoses so
4:52 pm
come coming across that because it was vulnerable and covid is just most recent disease. disease comes across that border every day we've had to shut down for chickenpox and measles, i remember when i was instructed one person in custody with a rare form of tb that it was -- wouldn't react to any known drug so we worked department of texas department of health we worked with cdc trying to have a cocktail to treat this person with tb what if he was released into the community? does comes across that border every day. and border patrol is not testing for covid. the federal government dhs is counting on local communities to do the testing. we know it is not being done everywhere this, you know, they say they care about this covid pandemic. they want to lock us down we wear mask, however, screaming across border with no test and released into the united states not only that, once these people get to their destination because they've been know to a judge
4:53 pm
they qualify for more. there's no compete for some of the low -- from the mid to low level jobs that many americans would like to have right now. so it is not only a health concern. it's a competing with american workers and high unemployment situation we're currently in. this is -- this is presidential -- this is presidential administration turned their backs on hardworking americans who are trying to abide by covid rules or trying to, you know, go out there find a job in a tough period. they've been thrown under a bus by this administration. glak at a time i think we forget the purpose of immigration the purpose of immigration is to support the citizens of the united states and the objectives of the citizens of the united states. america doesn't belong to joe biden or the democrat party. it doesn't belong to the immigration activists, it doesn't belong to foreign governments, and foreign individual. belongs to the american citizens. and our leaders are supposed to represent the american citizens. not would be citizens not people
4:54 pm
who want to be citizens. and there's nothing humane about what's going on in the southern border. there's nothing right about violating our federal laws. joe biden didn't run on this. joe biden didn't tell the truth. he didn't say he would open the borders and be a flood of people coming into this country. they're preventing the media from going into these detention centers which they now call reception centers. from showing us exactly what's going on because what's going on is a disaster. tom i want to thank you for your past service and i want to thank you for coming on this show and god bless you my friend. >> thank you mark, keep up the fight. mark: we'll be right back. car g, she didn't waste any time. she filed a claim on her usaa app and said, “that was easy.” usaa. what you're made of, we're made for. usaa. allergies don't have to be scary.

4:59 pm
centralization of authority, author tear cranism. are we a representative republican. we have very little say what's going on particularly with the way congress is conducting itself without hearings and with fences and the national guard surrounding it. are we a constitutional republic? not so much. so many aspects of the constitution, its firewalls, have been breached. it doesn't enforce the constitution of the united states. if we are not a federal republic and representative republic, or constitutional republic, what are we? i wrote this book, "liberty and tyranny." are we for liberty or are we for tyranny. tyranny isn't a far-off concept any more.
5:00 pm
tyranny is swirling around us. we better wake up to this. we better find out ways to confront it or it will devour all of us. see you next time on "life, liberty & levin." [♪♪♪] jesse: welcome to "watters' world." i'm jesse watters. you are getting played. that's the subject of tonight's watters words. president biden didn't hold a press conference. it was a play put on by biden and the media for the benefit of the democratic party. everything was scripted. questions written in advance by the news executives. the actors are so bad you can tell they are acting. the audience is cringing
