left and the right making issue when it's solvable you can do three things closing certain loopholes, one you will get the asylum threshold make it more difficult to claim asylum at the southern border because what's happening cartels or telling people what to say so they get entry into the united states and why the vast majority of cases are rejected when it comes to the court because are not showing up or they don't have a credible case. to you fix a settlement because one of the problems you can only keep family groups for 20 days which is not enough time to get to being in front of a judge and seeing the judge you have to fix that as well. three you have to fix a loophole in a 2008 trafficking law which treat central american unaccompanied minors different than individuals coming from mexico if somebody is a unaccompanied minor coming from mexico as long as another trafficking victim we can send them back, we cannot do that with central americans.

gillian: probably be a good site to have on the opinion side, i also encourage newsrooms to revert to fact-based news reporting. tamia seems like that's what's really needed especially when you talk about pieces of legislation like h.r.1 or georgia voting bill these are pieces of legislation by the way that our model list and they do many things at once and you would be very hard-pressed to find one adjective like racist or a power grab that neatly encapsulates one of them even the georgia law that not all republicans are on board with every aspect of it lindsey graham told fox news chris wallace earlier this morning that he does not agree with the provision that keeps poll workers 25 feet away from people standing in line for hours not able to give them food, he says he does understand why that's necessary, some reporting about the different components and how these bills break out i think it would be very illuminating for a lot of people not just in georgia but around the country.

clarification into your point about all of this which is bill de blasio said earlier today that the reason he got behind this new provision was because specifically it doesn't make officers liable for the financial part of the lawsuits meaning they personally can now get sued by new yorkers who have a claim against them but if they're found guilty they don't actually have to pay out the claims that will come from the nypd, bernie is saying the office it he is saying thereafter paid out of their own pocket, that is the issue here i was looking around trying to find answers to this before the show started i was not able to see if i could get something later tonight if you know the answer to this that is the root of the discussion the officers are liable on paper but not financially, that is important.

nypd they chose to disband the police unit which was incredibly effective and this is all with the bill reform laws and made it a revolving door for criminals to get in and walk onto the street and continue to commit crime why would anyone want to be a police officer new york city but why would anyone want to live in new york city right now you have a city that is incredibly expensive to live in, the taxes are we to i and the rent is way too high and the mayor make the city less safe and i did not know the statistics but representative nicole malley talk is pretty country tweeted this out recently looking at last week they had three times the murder and twice as many rapes last week as they did last year at the same time period. why would anyone in the right mind want to live in new york city right now and certainly why would the police officer want to work there.
