of bringing our most challenged kids up to the levels we would hope. this is the ultimate injustice of this critical race theory. it's so unjust to the advancement of children in society, it's something everybody should be worried about. >> laura: another top virginia person said that about the state's math initiative. >> it's framing and restructuring the way we think about the progression of math that meets the needs of every student. i don't want to lose sight of the equity implications of this initiative. it will be one of the most transformational things we can do in virginia to advance equity. >> laura: they are telling your kids they can't handle the

course load? or is it just dumbing down math so everybody gets an a. what is going on. >> it's a race to the bottom. it's denying advanced math for those students that can handle this material. i am a parent of gifted children. this doesn't only impact gifted children. it impacts above average students. they put people with a 500 on the math s.a.t. with a 300 with the matt s.a.t. what they focussed on if your kid is bored and slowed down, we will give them extra work and it will cause problems for these children. >> laura: this was one of the most disturbing stories in a line of disturbing stories we
