pete: absolutely. there is news this morning let's get to it as well there was an interview yesterday, president biden sat down with nbc. was asked about this whole idea that mr. president, you are vaccinated, yet, you continue to wear a mask, sometimes a double mask, even outside, even though you said you wouldn't when you wore it to the event where you told us you didn't have to wear it anymore and you are searching for it clearly something you are still very focused on. and the president had this answer when asked about when should you wear a mask and should you wear one outside. listen to this. >> are we no longer going to see the president of the united states wows a mask on? >> sure, sure. but i mean what i'm going to do though because the likelihood of my being able to be outside and people not come up to me is not very high. it's like, look, you and i took our mavericks off when i came in because of look at the distance we are. if we were in fact sitting there talking to one another close i

would have a mask and you even though we have been vaccinated. it's a small precaution to take that has a profound impact. it's a patriotic responsibility for god's sake. will: it's not patriotic it's antiscience, anti-vaxer nonsense. it's malarkey in joe biden's language. that right there is dangerous is what that is we were together in alabama. i made this joke that the mask has turned into the left's maga hat. it's not a joke. it's truly what's happening right now. it's used as a signature fire. message to everyone walking down the street what team you are on. that's what they are doing. what they turned the mask into. could be neurosis. agoura phone who begins to think oh my gosh go outside they will get you. morphed what the real risk are. it's now more of a political statement. it's a sign, it's a message. that's what the mask has become. jedediah: yeah, i don't really understand where this ends. so is the message now that you are vaccinated and you are outdoors if someone approaches

you if the vaccine didn't change anything for anyone, then really what will? if they are waiting for this to completely disappear and for there to be zero risk at all, they will be waiting a really long time. i'm not really sure this is messaging that really helps anyone out there. i understand there is requesting to be an adjustment period. i see people all the time who are so used to wearing these masks, pete. they forget. they're adjusting to a new way of life. adjusting and getting into a comfort zone this. is someone in a position of power. if anything he should be empowering people with his own language and behavior to do otherwise. to follow the science. pete: that's great point. exactly right. how ironic is it mr. bet get your shot who wants to take credit for operation warp speed now a walking billboard for why you shouldn't because your life is not going to change at all. what a shame. i think back again on wednesday it wasn't a state of the union but his address in front of

congress. what a missed opportunity that was. maybe that's what they wanted to virtue signal that you are still going to wear a mask no matter what. everyone vaccinated. the ratings was were low so nobody saw it ultimately, it reinforced fakeness. that's what i don't want. i don't want the current fake environment we are in where search pulling mask up can we take it down and when no one is looking i'm not going to wear it but i have to wear it because people are judging me. everyone want to take it off but they can't. it's in fits and starts. you know, all the complaining that the left had about whether donald trump's guidance was clear or not. talk about confused and mixed messaging. talk about not listening to the doctors and the science. that's where we are right now. which is why we are about to play a mix of clips from doctors and excerpts and people in the administration saying when people are vaccinated, they don't need to wear a mask unlike what joe biden just said. listen to this. >> there are many situations where fully vaccinated people do not need to wear mask. particularly if they're

outdoors. >> enjoy going to the park with their family, dining and socializing with heir friends outside. and many more outdoor activities without needing to wear mask. >> when you look around at the common sense situation, obviously the risk is really very low, particularly if you are vaccinated. will: there you have it. obviously we what we are looking at here is something totally antiscience. they are not following their own bureaucratic scientific guidelines at this point. pete: if fauci says the risk is really low, the risk is really low. will: that's right. pete: really, really really tiny. will: jedediah, you said i don't know if this message is going to work. the left thinks the mask is a political message that does work. they think it for two reasons. they turned science not just into a religion because fashion item. they wear science and let me use science in quotation marks. they use it as a fashion, a trend, something that they think sets them apart from

republicans. pete: yeah. will: here's the thing, the fashion, the thing is anti-trump this. is all positioned against president trump. because they assigned and blamed president trump for coronavirus. they need to hack onto the pandemic to continue to set themselves apart from president trump. and the mask is the symbol of that. many on the right, by the way, chris christie former new jersey governor, he said at this point we should all be getting back-to-normal with the number of people that have been vaccinated. i will honestly tell you, chris christie you are underselling it we should have already been back-to-normal. here is where he is on hannity. >> back in school in september all across this country, in september of 2020, we still only have 43% of the kid back in school. we should be allowing people who have taken both doses of their vaccine to be able to go back to doing what they do. businesses should all be open. ballparks should all be open. arenas should all be open. this is something that when people are vaccinated they should be able to participate as

if this had not happened. so i don't understand why the delay in that. i don't understand why the president continues to urge it when his own cdc is saying completely different. will: yeah. i would just say, this look, we use this phrase a lot. let's get back to normal. let's stop saying that we should be back to normal and we should have been back to normal for a long time and a great percentage of the country is back to normal. america is exceptional. time to get back to exceptional. way past time. jedediah: you talk about the politics of it a little bit. from another angle it's confusing. people are confused. when you see people in leadership positions saying one thing and see scientists and their doctors saying something else, it's confusing and everyone, left, right and center is eager for getting back to normal people that i meet what am i supposed to be doing? i want to do what's right and healthy? why are you saying one thing this they need to get on one page and that page should be

defined by the medical community and not political talking points, pete. pete: the challenge is they are not on the same page and they won't be. right now i have the information i will make the choice. ultimately that's what people have to do. it's over, it's done. the onus is on you to tell me why in this moment in any scenario i should be wearing a mask around a bunch of vaccinated people. there is no reason. the science has jumped the shark. that's not where we are at. the other thing i love what you said, will, about trump. it is. another latest example of that the biden administration banning travel to india. are they the xenophobias now? it was all about xenophobia with trump. maybe it was about not spreading the virus. we will see. we are learning president biden's son hunter still owns stake in a chinese firm. despite the president, remember this, promising no one in his family would have foreign business ties? well, lucas tomlinson is live in washington with details on hunter's dealings. lucas, good morning.

story. the media would probably call it russian dills information and began from big tech because it mentions hunter biden i'm not sure going off history on that one. turning to few additional headlines with you. starting with this. more portland rioters could soon find themselves behind bars. local sheriff changing policy to allow misdemeanors to be booked into jail as he tries to crack down on violence and vandalism. previously officers could only give citations. three people booked on criminal mischief charges since the order took effect last week. and a possible case of mistaken identity over speaker nancy pelosi's stolen laptop an alaska woman says federal agents searched her home after mistaking her for another woman in the search for pelosi's laptop. allegedly taken during the capitol riot. agents broke down the door to her home and confiscated laptops and cell phones. agents showed her this picture of a woman who was at the riot. she admits the woman look as little like her but she says she never entered of the capitol and

agents have mistaken her identity. and turning now to sports as i mentioned. day two of the nfl draft wrapped up last night offensive lineman taking over the second and third round with nearly 20 being selected. quarterbacks also having a good day. the texan taking stanford davis mills this is a sign deshaun watson could be in trouble. could go elsewhere. i don't know. could be suspended. the houston quarterback is facing several harassment lawsuits. and pete's home team the vikings taking kellen out of texas a&m my dallas cowboys as i mentioned not thrilled. they did draft for defense which is good. much needed. cornerback in the second and third round but it was this fan right here that stole the show. bringing the power of power too sweet to be sour to the commissioner's chair with his brown theme macho man randy savage costume. and those are your headlines.

jedediah: we're back with a fox news alert. more than 100 people found in a houston gnome a possible human smuggling case. ashley strohmier joins us with more police say some of them have tested positive for covid-19, ashley. >> found them at home five of them did test positive for covid-19. residents snapping these pictures of law enforcement responding with guns driewn what started out as a reported kidnapping in southwest houston. well, police say they got tips on the location the night before. take a listen to what some of the neighbors had to say about this. >> this is awful. >> crazy because we have hoh every morning. they walk and look at this. any house, anything can happen. >> there were no kids in the home, but the youngest person was in their early 20's. five women were there and the rest were men.

your business is being held hostage by governor mandate for everyone to be vaccinated. >> yeah. it's been quite a year, believe me. we are about 5 months into this and we have had a couple major shutdowns. last april, may, and in to june. and then last fall we were doing actually decent considering and, of course, we had patios in the late summer and the fall. and then november we got shut down and that went until february. and it was only outdoor dining and dining outdoors in michigan is not a great thing. so, the idea of going to 70% when we are at 49% right now is a long way to go. and i happen to see a local news the other day a mathematician and he suggested that at the rate we're getting vaccinated in the state currently, it will take about four months; however, he said the rate is going down and as you know, this is a

choice. many people do not want to be vaccinated. will: four more months. >> who knows when that is going to occur. will: to your point, four, five, six more months on top of the 1 months have you already fits and starts on businesses. show folks at home the standards, the levels that whitmer had set. that's the one, that's showing the jobless claims. there were curfews -- there were standards, 65%, 70%. where you can see that whitmer has tagged opening up held at hostage. extortion for vaccination. not talking about persuasion or guidance. not talking about advice now. we are talking about requirements for you to be in business. here's the thing, bill. i have done a ton of diners across this country and talked to small business owners that's only half the problem being open. the other problem is when you are you can't find anybody to work. i can't tell you how many times i have heard that bill no matter what state i'm in. >> you are going to hear it

again because our industry is a youthful industry so generally there is going to be attrition through the course of a year. young people graduate from school, they move to florida they do whatever and get married and it's changed careers. so that happens naturally. but then, of course, when you are closed for months at a time, you start to lose others that decide well, let's go to a different industry. so, it's been a challenge and at this point it's really becoming a joke because we tend to work through indeed and you set up interviews and i would say at this point 80% of the interviews no-show. it's incredible. you know. but the state had drops last spring, the requirement to prove that you, in fact, are looking for a job in exchange for your

in my american jobs plan i propose spending $10 billion a year on passage of rail and freight rail. of this, two thirds would support existing amtrak routes including the northeast corridor but nationwide. this is a bargain, a bargain is a bargain, it's economical and environmentally a lifesaver. that was the president on friday announcing infrastructure plan. we will bring in charles payne to weigh in on that and more. charles, welcome to the show. thanks for being with us. what do you make of the infrastructure portion of his spending spree, particularly as it pertains to rail? >> let's talk about rail. listen, it's a wonderful dream, right, that we would live in this utopia where, you know, trains could whip us from new york to los angeles in a couple of hours. we're not there.

where we are with the current system we have a money losing system that's very inefficient. the notion of breaking it out and making it even larger, more inefficient boondoggle that most people would not use would be nuts. i mean, we lose a billion dollars on amtrak. moreover, when president biden talks about the benefits of taking freight from rails -- from trucks and putting them on rails, what he is essentially talking about is taking away union jobs -- by the way, 40% of the american trucking industry are black and hispanic workers. is he talking about taking jobs from them. by the way, there are 900,000 openings for truck drivers in this country, is he talking about erasing those opportunities. when he off and ons over china and how amazing and expansive their high rail system is. he fails to sprain also 60% of their rail operators lose money. on average, 100 per operator but a couple of them more than a billion dollars a year.

so, do we want for this wonderful idea to really invest in something that is not going to be high speed, you know, the averages 68 miles per hour. all of us have been on it again, if you really got to d.c. you are not going to take it. if you want to take a long trip with maybe couple other people and play cards and read a book, fine. it's inefficient and boondoggle and destroy his idea would destroy jobs, hundreds thousands, maybe millions of union jobs that a lot of blacks and hispanics already have. that's what his dream is that he just laid out. pete: it's a really interesting take on the flip side of that if the future is amtrak, charles, count me out. that has made people a lot of money that is efficient but some think inefficient in other ways. crypto currency, it's bit coin. bill maher called it out on hbo last night. listen to this. >> we knew money had to originate from and be generated by something real somewhere. to which crypto currency says no, it doesn't. there as another analyst put it it's an open upon is i scheme, crypto currency a coin. bit coins are created by what they call mining. unfortunately what is real is the unfathomable amount the electricity those massive super computers suck up for their mining. bit coin uses more energy than netflix, apple, facebook, microsoft, and google combined. pete: what's your take, charles? >> you know, listen, i don't watch bill maher but i see the clips and his angry old man act is getting worse and worse every week in my opinion. his railing at modern society.

when you start talking about bit coin not being tethered to anything. this week the federal reserve probably created $10 billion. what does is that tethered to? what is that connected to. where does the source of value come with that? next week in two weeks, the federal reserve's balance sheet will hit $8 trillion, where did that money come from. and what value is its source? is there a magic golden rock somewhere that's worth $8 trillion and the vault behind jerome powell's house? what bill maher is saying is nuts. if you don't believe in it. if you think it's run-up, fine. you can deface that. these places mining it are mining it because real quick they are using fossil fuels because they need constant power not intermittent power. and that's why they don't use renewable power. ask texas why that's important as well. will: if there had been a prospect on fox bet where you

from the last administration. in other words, there wasn't proper communication between us as we came in to the presidency. i don't think that excuse is going to work. i think this clearly has been incentivized and people know that i think there has been a clear lack of transparency that had to be -- basically a fight to get journalists on the ground in there to get proper video, proper footage but i don't think this is going to be an instance where pointing fingers or blaming back is going to be successful, pete. pete: yeah. you are right, jed, it's all in the context of the previous administration. they are taking credit in covid for vaccines and the process that was started under operation warp speed as if none of that ever happened. then, when it comes to the border, and a crisis really does unfold, somehow the crisis that didn't exist existed before they got there even though all the data points point to his election and inauguration. i mean, it's not a crisis, guys. but we're just happening ton sending 500 members of the agriculture department downs to the border to help out.

because, when i signed up for my job at the agriculture department i really thought i would be down at the border dealing with unaccompanied minors or feeling gaps in the border wall that they just announced now they are not going to finish. it's absurdity. and this interview, i didn't see the context entirely of the question. i wonder how much follow-up there was. it's absurd the soft pedaling this administration gets on this specifically. will: look, i have been to the border, as many have. i have talked to the law enforcement at the border, the sheriffs along the border, who do need help, who want help, who are asking for help in handling this crisis. i don't think the top of their mind was can we get some help from the usda. that wasn't necessarily the help they were looking for but that's the help they are getting now. i mentioned this waffling on crisis/noncrisis. what did he just say urgent action? pete: mumbled out urgent action. will: there we go. back in 2014 though, pete, he didn't have trouble finding the right word it was very clear back then that it was a crisis. here is joe biden in 2014.

administration for anything that they did that was successful in this vein and they don't want to upset voters who elected them, you know, expecting them to be weak on immigration, frankly on these issues. weak on border security. so i think that they are in a very, very tough spot. the problem here is that it is a still pandemic times that there are children in these conditions. and i think that people across the political spectrum are looking at this and feeling that they are compelled to ask tough questions. and to get answers on this. it's just not a sustainable situation. and it's not just affecting border towns. it's going to be affecting other areas where processing centers will have to pop up because there hasn't been enough room in the border town. pete: there is only one thing in between the bind crisis sandwich of 2014 and 2021, that was the only sincere and earnest attempt to secure our border our country has seen in a generation. and that was donald trump in the border wall that you are looking at right there. you are looking at remain in

mexico. the things they attempt toed to do to get their arms around it you saw in the speech on wednesday guys he is talking about comprehensive immigration reform yet again. is he not willing to secure the border. he is undoing all of that and then says we need a pathway to citizenship. the playbook is the same. the only person that changed the playbook was donald trump actually trying to secure it. there is one portion of what former president trump did during his administration that was demonized completely as xenophobic, that was restricting travel during covid-19 from other countries. take, for example, china what the president dids he was very focus we are told by joe biden and others. the irony of remembering that is that next week the biden administration or this week the biden administration restricting travel to and from india which is suffering from a very strong second wave of covid-19. so they are judiciously saying maybe we should stop travel there. well, let's remember how joe

also require proof of vaccination before employees return-to-work. it begs the question is this necessary and is this legal? here to discuss fox news medical contributor dr. marc siegel and attorney jeanine itayim: thank you both for being here. dr. siegel, i'm going to start with you. is it a good idea for employers to require vaccination before employees can return to work? >> jedediah, it's very problematic. and let me tell you why. because, first of all, what about people who have gotten over covid-19. we think close to 100 million people maybe had it and maybe have some durable immunity that we can't prove and test how immune they're. why should they be prejudiced against if i say you need a vaccine card to get into this business what about someone who is getting over covid? also, healthcare workers, one quarter of us have been turning down the shot, which i think is terrible, but if hospitals don't require this yet, and we're putting people at risk, people

who are immunocompromised, how can businesses require it i think maybe hospitals would be the first place and thirdly, it's an emergency use authorization meaning it's still experimental although i don't consider it experimental, i think it's incredibly safe and effective. under that particular problem, that's more for jeanine on that. but, i don't really think this can be binding. of. jedediah: jeanine, let's talk about the legality of this a little bit. what i see here is a potential very, very slippery slope when it comes to people's privacy rights with respect to their medical history. what say you? >> so, the case that everybody relies on is jacobson vs. massachusetts that required get vaccine. 1905. prior to hip part of the cares act suspended a lot of our privacy right under hip that pa. right now they are not even doing enforcement if in good faith disclosure of your

personal health information. so, that's kind of problematic to me because that was done by the ocr and the hhs and i don't think that they have the ability to do that in the first place but it was under an emergency that was back in february of 2020 but it's still going on. jedediah: many different states have handled covid-19 very differently. what i have been thinking of, is it possible you will see different types of companies in different locations different rules people make decisions about where they want to live and work in a very different way than they have done in the past? you see wide open. texas wide open and then you compare to california which hasn't been wide open but then the case rates are dropping dramatically to the point 4 in a thousand cases. will california being more regulated saying hey, our

businesses you have to use the vaccine card to enter. i think there will be a lot of variety on that. completely agree with you. one point i would make though from a public health point of view where this might make sense is when the pandemic is on the upswing where you say look, you are putting other employees at risk here. but we're on the down swing. we are coming out of the pandemic. so it might seem a little bit too strong and forceful in a situation where your risk is low. jedediah: jeanine if they ask ask you that you have been vaccinated and gotten the vaccine ask you a lot of other personal health stuff too what's next if that's approved? >> that is what everybody should be very afraid of right now though. is the question. what else can they ask you? the whole point of hipaa is we wanted people to be able to get jobs and not be discriminated against because of a prior medical condition. we wanted them to get health insurance when they are going between jobs this. is a very scary thing. jedediah: yeah, i want to thank you both for being here. this will certainly not be the end of this discussion. this is just the beginning. we appreciate it.

finger backward at the last administration. a lot of blame game diagnose going on. to me it looks like they are asleep at the wheel. not will to acknowledge what's happening. seems to be no effort to remedy the situation. what's your impression of their strategy or lack thereof? >> yeah, it's unbelievable. you know, the border is as bad as it's ever been and it's only getting worse. and, you know, my phone rings off the hook from mayors and ranchers dealing with issues every single day. regular people have seen their small towns along these borders turned upside down. it continues to spiral out of control. it's unbelievable that this president won't act but here's the thing. on the ground, the people demand action. i'm excited we rolled out a bill, hopefully we talk about that today. but people demand action. whether the president helps or not, congress has to lead. pete: let's talk about that bill a little bit, congressman, part of it has to do with capacity, i believe. because part of what is happening at the border right now is they are sending 500 members of the agriculture

department down there to help with the noncrisis. so what is the -- i believe the bill is the bipartisan border solutions act. what are you trying to do? >> yeah, the bipartisan solutions act does a couple things. one, number one, it takes border patrol agents out of the processing business and gets them back into the national security business. they want to be out in the field. they want to be protecting our borders. that's the number one thing. the second thing it does is it adds 150 judges to the equation. we need to have these immigration judges on the border processing these cases immediately. this is the way it works. if somebody comes over and they make it -- they make their way through, they immediately call home and they let everybody know that, hey, i got through, everything is great. and then, guess what? all they start coming along, too. well, if they -- if they don't make it through, they come over, they get processed and they get turned around, that word starts getting out, the judges his critical to it all. this is the only bill the bipartisan border solutions bill is the only bipartisan and

bicameral bill congress needs to act. will: you said something a moment ago worth highlighting over and over again. the people on the ground are asking for help. the sheriff, the resident, whoever it may be. it's something you simply cannot manage from afar. it's an extreme illustration at least we think it's extreme illustration. going on in the city of houston. police uncovered human smuggling case with more than 90 people trapped in a single home and concerns not just over the human smuggling element of this but that these 90 people may have not just been untested but positive, in fact, for controversies. tell us what you know about this. >> you know, i did a ride along with the eagle pass police department. this was months ago. this was before everything really started spiraling out of control. and as i did this ride along, eagle pass is right along the border, the police chief is telling me last week we found a stash house there for human

smuggling and a stash house there and a stash house there. it was just unbelievable. now, what we have seen it's not just those towns along the border. it's houston, it's san antonio and it's going to be elsewhere as well. it's not the crisis is continuing to grow. it's continuing to expand. the fact -- it's so frustrating to not have a partner, someone who work with in the administration to just go, look, it's not -- this isn't a republican party. it's not a democrat problem. let's work together to try to solve this. we deserve that. the people that live near and on the border deserve that. but it's so frustrating that there is nobody from the administration that will just take any leadership role in this. jedediah: congressman, thank you. i think that's a fantastic point this. is a moment that we should all be united on trying to find a solution and unfortunately that seems to not be the case and we need some leadership that also, unfortunately seems to not be the case with respect to this administration right now. we can hope that things will improve and we do. thank you so much for being with us this morning. >> thank you, again.

to $250,000 for violations. the bill is now headed to the governor's desk. jed, over to you. jedediah: thanks, pete. seattle is preparing to sweep a homeless encampment as a local valid park playground. yet another remains a danger to students at a nearby elementary school. next guest is dad who spotted a samarie sword just steps from where his kindergartner attends the school. this is incredibly disturbing to see. what i'm interested is why. why is the school so reluctant to do something about this encampment is that is so close to school grounds? do you have any thoughts? >> yeah. there is one of two possibilities. so, first of all, many of them have political aspirations they want to get on city council. and usually in seattle the way you do that is by taking the most extreme stance possible, in this case it would be that no matter where someone puts up a

camp ask them to leave or go to a different area. on the other hand typically what happens in seattle there is soft corruption where we have a lot of service providers our mayor is very careful to use the most cost effective one and people on the city council have friends that run the more expensive programs and often try to pressure our mayor into using those and what it looks like here is the school board is trying to influence the mayor and farce them use or encourage the mayor to use these more expensive services that are less cost effective that get less people off the streets. jedediah: amazing. your son goes to that school. has he talked to you about how he feels about it or any of his emotions to what he sees right so close to his school? >> yeah, so is he scared. you know, he has heard about the weapons that are down there attacks park workers so chatter about that warning sign,

frightening situation for him. is he not comfortable with it at all. jedediah: i imagine so. we have a statement from the seattle public schools on these homeless camps. we acknowledge community schools encampments of individuals experiencing homelessness. we take this issue seriousously and working with the city actively to address encampments of unhoused people near our schools. it seems to me like that's an excuse that will fall on deaf ears. parents, look at this and they say do better. while why does it take so long to get you to do something about a situation that makes our kids feel uncomfortable and in many cases makes us feel uncomfortable? >> that statement is not true at all. they are not working with the city. they denounce the city's strategy. the school board has no interest in solving this problem. they just want these people to stay living in tents on school property indefinitely. complete dereliction of duty. they are not doing their job. they don't care about student safety or well-being. the school board is doing a

will never be closure for the people who lost so many people on 9/11, but it does help with the healing process and i hear that from people all the time everything from first responders to actually priests that were there, people who lost loved ones were on the phone when the phone was cutoff because of planes slamming into the tower. and it's just one of those things too. i can't even believe it happened i just know the story, 10 years later it's crazy but it needed to be done, it needed americans there to finish osama bin laden in his bedroom and i was so fortunate to be that guy but i was a member that one of the most amazing teams ever assembled and it was nothing but an honor to be asked to be a part of it and i have no regrets about anything. pete: no doubt, the real dream team, real quick, rob. the navy seals are shifting focus from counterterrorism in the middle east to global threats like the communist chinese in russia. what due think about that reorientation? >> when we've been dogged down in afghanistan and iraq, china and russia were building up and

>> yes so this years mint julep is the cherries and cream based on a late 1800s recipe so it's really simple to make. we've got our vanilla bean in there already. i'm going to do a teaspoon of powdered sugar in there, then a half ounce of cherry juice, and it's wonderful, brings out the cherry in wooten ford reserve and of course we have the best 2 ounces in bourbon for the best 2 minutes in sports so there we go and now i've got to put that crushed ice in because you know it's not a mint julep without crushed ice so i'll add that in there and tuck in our straw and our vanilla bean so we've got that right next to the mint, so we have to have mint in there at some point and i'll add a little more ice to top it off so there we have our $2,500 mint julep. >> i can feel it. i can feel the love in here. now, tell me what the charity is this year. >> yes, so this year we are

but the problem is, jedediah he's saying he's going to wear it when it's scientifically unnecessary and the cdc doesn't even recommend it so unfortunately what message this sends is virtue signaling and it actually undermines the efficacy of the vaccine and when you already have vaccine he's fancy that's not helpful. jedediah: so griff, i want to ask you, is there any concern from the administration or have you heard anything about the fact that their messaging is conflicting with the cdc? it's conflicting with the medical community in large part? is there any concern about that whatsoever? griff: i heard that, jed but does the president know as of today, the president can wear his mask but he better not dance because mayor bowser in d.c. this week banned dancing and new restrictions regarding weddings which have to be at 25% capacity she said no standing or dancing be allowed, so right now, i'm just hoping somebody gets the message to kevin bacon to go to the nation's capitol and sort

out this because the no dancing ban did not work well in oklahoma and it's not going to fly here. jedediah: [laughter] that is terrific, a great point, absolutely. you know, lawrence, some people argued that there is a desire on the part of this administration to prolong the pandemic. do you feel that there's some truth to that at all? >> i think progressives in general and i called this before this even happened, this is why, i wasn't against, you know, keeping the country safe, but the fact that the state has this amount of power and no one wants to ask the question why, i mean, like who i think is a fantastic guy, a great man, but in the middle of the interview, when he kept saying, you know, you would do this and we should do this , why? why? why should we? does the science support that? like you said that we be distanced anyway? i mean, that doesn't make any sense. both of us have taken the vaccination. we understand that there is not any total immunity, so why can't we have a conversation?
