125,000 authorized refugees next year. a number higher than ever been given in a single year even to, say, jews in world war ii germany. for reference that number 125,000 equals the population of, say, attorney general, north dakota or wilmington, north carolina. no big deal, right? well, by the way, this 125,000 refugees is on top of the hundreds of thousands of illegals flooding our southern border. totally different head count. add them together and now you are talking the size of miami, minneapolis, or atlanta. every year. today, the white house defended the move. >> he wanted to eliminating any lingering doubt from any refugee across the world that the united states wasn't a country that would welcome refugees in to apply. under the biden-harris administration. >> pete: don't worry, jen, the message is clear. there is no doubt america is wide open. and we have no reason to believe

states eventually settling in minneapolis. she graduated high school there, attended college in north dakota and received fellowship at the university of minnesota. a few years later she was elected to the state house and then to congress. congresswoman omar has chosen to return american goodwill with grievance not gratitude. you've heard her she views her time in somalia as blissful while criticizing the united states as racist, oppressive and torturous. that's a direct quote. unlike my good friend bacher alli, ilhan omar did not choose america. america chose her. from the squaller of a refugee camp in kenya. we opened our doors and welcomed her. the state of minnesota housed her, educated her, empowered her, educated her and then elected her all so she could make a living out of condemning america. now, she is setting the terms of u.s. refugee policy. inside the halls of 600 pennsylvania avenue. she is the authority.

and she wants more refugees just like her. moments ago i mentioned the word assimilation. shhh. don't say that word too loud. you are not supposed to say that word anymore. you may have missed it, but when the news came out last week that the department of homeland security was banning use of the words like illegal and alien for ice and the cbp, they also included ending the use of the word assimilation. what is this evil idea of assimilation? the left says it's xenophobic. of course it's not. it's essential. new immigrants must seek to assimilate and pledge allegiance to the united states of america assimilation and alegion japanese if you want a nation. without those ingredients we melt down in our melting pot and destroy what holds us together. our tribes, our skin color, our sexual preferences and our religious denominations are not what makes us americans. our god-given freedom equally applied laws and common english language do. if we don't share values and

best message to send does the seal truly mean safety i did the research and found out not so much in my opinion it sounds scamy. the well health safety seal is the name of paul. get this seal a business will pay between $2,000 and 12,600 depending on the size of the business. it has to meet 15 of 2 safety criteria that is established by the parent organization it's called the international well building institute. that's the one that dolls out this seal. >> pete: got it. >> criteria is a mix of progressive workplace demands and safety protocols that businesses are pretty much already doing. now, here's some examples. paid time off, subsidized healthcare which includes sexual and prerepublican tia health services and citing climate change and the psychological distress this could cause subsidized mental healthcare. you might not like this, you might love this. that's not related to covid safety at all.

reagan. key point to notice here and that is that a much smaller a anymore bler federal government comparable challenge in 1957-'58. the asian flu globally pretty much as devastating as covid-19 has been. and the eisenhower administration with a newer and smaller cdc was, in fact, remarkably successful at dealing with that crisis. without any need for lockdowns much less school closures. i should say that they did prioritize vaccination, pete. i think in those days vaccination wasn't a politicized issue. if you look back at '57, '58 there is a stark contrast how the government responded to crisis and also how society responded. fast forward to 2020 and what's striking is although the bureaucracy had on paper tremendously labrador rat pandemic preparedness plans and even a deputy secretary for preparedness, none of it worked when the crisis actually struck.
