>> harris: jason chaffetz. you were on the hill when they didn't have this. how does this compare to what america is about to see? >> i started when they did have them and credit john boehner for having the guts to have leadership and get rid of them. earmarks are the sugar that makes the garbage go down and it is fundamentally and totally wrong. we need to cut spending in this country not creative ways to spend things. almost everything on that list that you were scrolling through has no business being funded by the federal government. when i was in congress, one of our republican senators here in utah tried to fund a parking lot in provo. that's not the role of the federal government. it is also not the role and responsibility of the people of florida to fund that parking lot. just like i don't want to put sand on their beaches in

to discourage the next wave. why not? it works. 96% never leave. it's expensive. hhs is spending $60 million a week of taxpayer funds to house and process these children and feed them as well. border patrol is spending $5 million a week just here on the same situation and now, of course, advocates want taxpayers to pay for attorneys for these children. in san diego last night the board of supervisors awarded $5 million to pay for that. back to you. >> harris: those are refreshed numbers that have gotten a lot bigger in a short period of time. thank you very much. she is professional, lovely, and pleasant. those words used by the white house press corps. the reporters who ask her the questions every day. that's how they describe jen psaki. well, that affection we just asked, is it getting in the way of their job to cover the white house? it wouldn't be, right? plus this.
