panel, thanks so much. tomorrow, as we mentioned on "special report" congresswoman liz cheney is our guest. we'll ask all kinds of questions. if you have any, drop me a line or a tweet at bret baier. thanks for inviting us into your home tonight. that's it for "special report," fair, balanced and unafraid. "fox news primetime" hosted by brian kilmeade this week starts right now. hi, brian. >> brian: bret, great show as usual. let me get started. good evening to everybody. and welcome to "fox news primetime." >> brian: i'm brian kilmeade tonight big show lindsey graham, jeb petraeus, senator marco rubio nancy groce and to close it out jocko will neck. i dare anyone even greg gutfeld to put this show together. pun intended. energy anxiety. the colonial pipeline finally reopened after a cyberattack russian hackers shutting down nearly a week. as a result gas prices

skyrocketing. massive fuel shortage in states across the south. one in four stations in north carolina is totally out of gas long lines causings tensions to boil over. for example, some drivers throwing some fists in north carolina, yeah, this reminds me of the 1970s, the national price of gallon of gas topped $3 for the first time since 2014. as a result, got the cost of food, cost of lumber, materials going up along with it. this gas shortage is a major kitchen table crisis for many americans. so what's the biden response in basically let's drive a tesla. >> we obviously are all in on getting the president's goals of total electricity in 2025 and net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and, you know, if you drive an electric car, this would not be affecting you, clearly. >> bret: bret. >> brian: there you go imagine you are from west virginia. first you were told to give up

your job, coal. now they want to take your truck, too. the biden administration wants once again proving how disconnected it is from americans. people aren't thinking about 2035 or 2050 right now. they need to get off the gas line to find a gas station with gas in it put something in their tank. but, don't worry, america's mayor pete buttigieg pretend riding his bike to safe the day. he called the whole experience a major wake-up call. how comforting. >> this is part of what we have in mind when we talk about rye sill yens. we need to make sure infrastructure climate resilience caused by increased frequency of severe weather events. we need to make sure we are resilient in the face of cyber threats and certainly in the kinds of things that the american jobs plan will be funding and supporting. >> brian: so he recommends we bounce back. for pete buttigieg, every week is infrastructure week. to be fair it is his job. instead of finding new ways to inject racial justice into america's bridges and highways

mayor pete and the rest of the biden team needs to make sure a cyberattack like this never happens again. after all the colonial pipeline delivers 100 million gallons of gas every single day to the east coast. diesel, gasoline, heating oil, jet fuel have been cut off for the past six days. plan b, take all that stuff, put it on trucks and trains. not so fast. here is secretary granholm again. >> these are not easy solutions pause there may or may not be the right railcars there may or may not be the deep water ports available. this is why we have doubled down on ensuring that there is an ability to truck oil, in gas in. but it's the pipe is the best way to go. >> brian: did she just say the pipeline is the best way to go? so why did the biden administration keep killing pipeline projects? how does a group of russian hackers manage to hold our gas pipelines hostage that we didn't

>> so, let me just say this, brian, the two responses from president biden and his spokesperson are unnerving. they are naive, they are weak. and they don't show an understanding of the problem. he should be saying we're going to prevent this in the future. i'm going to have a national strategy to upgrade cybersecurity for critical infrastructure like financial services and energy and oh, by the way, if you have electric car, apparently you can attack a power plant. that was the dumbest thing in the world. if we had all electric cars the pipeline hack wouldn't matter. what if they take down the power company, the power unit you plug your car into? so they are just disconnected. they don't understand prevention. get every major company in the country to upgrade their cybersecurity systems. reward them when they do but you can't be sued if you are attacked if you are doing the right thing. deterrence.
