that cyber terrorism does exist. it's nice to see that nancy pelosi and biden have taken a break from saying white supremacy and domestic terrorism are the nation's number one threats to national security and actually recognize maybe for once that that is just a political jab and the reality exists in the intelligence infrastructure with chairman nunes highlighted. and, yes, we have apparatus that are supposed to focus on this kind of work and that's what devin overseas over at the dni. they are responsible for setting the collection posture across america to defend our nation. when you point it in a shape of a target that doesn't exist white supremacy and domestic terrorism you will miss every cyberattack all day long and we pay the price. >> brian: absolutely. congressman, the other thing is what do we learn from this? in five days they made $5 million. in fact they got 45 million the next day. this pays well. and america suffered. that's the combination our enemies are looking for. what's next? >> well, there's a couple things that we need to learn from this one is we need more pipelines.

we should not be reliant only on one pipeline. that he was the whole point of the keystone pipeline by the way biden stopped on his first day in office. so, moving forward, i think u.s. companies are going to have to really double down on their cybersecurity. it's getting more and more dangerous to be -- have an open internet in a system that operate on an open internet. so you are going to have to go to more hardened systems, and that's something that house intelligence committee republicans have been pushing for nearly a decade now since i have been on the committee. >> brian: you know, secretary granholm says we should be looking at electric cars, getting a tesla, kach patel, is that going to help? >> i don't know how teslas are going to help cyber intrusions like the pipe bine you are talking about. electrical grids are at the same risk and intelligence professionals from overseas want to target america can do so for a small amount of money and cause a great amount of damage unless our leadership, outside of devin and the republicans on house intel get their act together and say the threats

that actually pose the biggest danger to american national security are these cyber criminals and not these make believe domestic white supremacists that don't exist that they blameddian 6th for and as you said the narrative have been totally defeated by the fact if anyone want to listen. >> brian: you bring up a food point. a sense america is vulnerable and weak. got the strong military and economy. massive come back right now. congressman nunes, in particular, think joe biden is being tested. we know this group exists in russia. we know vladimir putin can stop it in a second. speculate that the gru are actually involved in this send a message and it's got to be kick. >> easy to sit here in washington and spin up conspiracy theories with all your political consultants and polling and push it out of to the fake news media so they drive a narrative. everything comes to a stop when criminals actually figure out hey, we can actually cut off the entire east coast supply of
