this is what happens, politics continue to insert themselves in times of crises and they leverage fear and they continue to follow them because they are fearful. >> sean: we will get to the politics and the second, so 9300 confirmed cases according to the cdc, a little more at this point i think where you have fully vaccinated people contracting covid, 132 reported deaths by the cdc, what are we to make of that? >> great question and first of all, the cdc has change the way they are reporting what they call these breakthrough cases and this is an extremely smart move. first of all, a lot of those, there is not a reason for anyone to be doing surveillance studies on vaccinated individuals. it's a waste of resources at this point because real-world data tells us if they are fully vaccinated, the likelihood of them transmitting the virus to

someone else is exceedingly low so we don't need to be testing these people who were asymptomatic. it doesn't matter, no clinical significance when you look at the big picture. they are now doing is only reporting severe cases that result in hospitalizations and deaths and out of 115 million americans who are now fully vaccinated, they've only had about 1300 breakthrough cases which they consider those who have been hospitalized and deaths and 30% of those they are reporting did not have to do with covid-19. they subsequently had covid-19. a little over 20 deaths are being listed but 20% of those they are saying was not related to covid-19. breakthrough cases are very rare. >> sean: the politics of it and again, fully vaccinated, socially distant. still with a mask on.
