19 people were arrested. they are launching a hate crime probe into a gaining assault of a jewish man in times square. jillian: and arizona police officer is airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle overnight. the police officer was conducting traffic control when they were hit. no word on their condition. the driver stayed at the scene. this is developing story and we will update you as soon as more details are released. in colorado a sheriff's deputy shot multiple times in the line of duty. the lincoln county sheriff's office says the deputy was ambushed while responding to a 911 call. the suspect was found dead of self-inflicted gunshot wound following an hours long manhunt. the deputy was seriously hurt but is expected to survive. a 7 year veteran of the department and an air force veteran. the sheriff's office calling him a hero.

todd: a fox news alert, massive fire nearly destroying a warehouse in atlanta. this fire broke out early this morning in the atlantic district. firefighters facing issues because the warehouse is so big. firefighters evacuated an apartment complex next door. so far no reports of injuries. four kids hospitalized in arizona after this house goes airborne. those kids were inside when the structure got picked up by high winds, went several feet into the air and dropped back down, collapsing on the grass. kids between 5 and 11. officials say they sustained moderate to serious injuries. current conditions unknown. jillian: carley: tennessee lawmakers demanding answers after reports the biden administration is secretly flying migrant children into the state. todd: jackie ibanez joins us as the administration has lost control of the border crisis. >> reporter: good morning. local reports from chattanooga

todd: president biden as you just heard appearing to take credit for a cease-fire between israel and hamas despite multiple reports that egypt brokered that deal. the ranking member of the officers committee congressman rob whitman. i don't question that the biden administration had some role to play but how much credit do you give them for this cease-fire? >> they began with this quiet diplomacy which equates to me close to silence and silence is in action. i think they had little to do with this peace agreement. egypt was the main broker behind the lines and i believe they did very little in a productive way to support israel, did well in a productive way to make this conflict end at least temporarily. todd: when this is all you here in the mainstream media people at home will think president

biden and the administration solved this problem. aren't they in essence winning the media war so that they get all the credit? >> very easy to take the credit. what we have to do is highlight things they have accomplished which is very little. they won't continue the successful diplomacy policies of the trump administration which resulted in the abraham accords, historic peace agreements between israel, united arab emirates, israel in bahrain, things the administration should be focusing on. instead what they do is take what i believe are strong anti-israel actions. yesterday in the house they voted against emergency funding to replenish the iron dome system in israel which helps is real defend itself against these rockets in coming from hamas so they are antagonistic towards

mask they can but it is not mandatory anymore. the mask mandate has been lifted. >> i think it is amazing, the way it should be. it should be optional, up to the kid and up to their parents and i think a lot of parents have reached the tipping point, sick and tired of politicians and teachers unions using their children and their childhoods to make political points, to instill and keep the fear going in order for democrats to pass bills and spending and all these other things. our children are at risk, there is no reason for them to wear it if they don't want to and kindergartners and first graders, we have a first grader, they've never seen anything different, they think this is normal. our little first grader, tell her to take her mask off when she gets in the car and she will

health care decisions and this is federalism. putting control back into the states that estate deciding what makes sense for them. >> absolutely and moving from masks, we have a lot of kids, college kids dealing with the fact universities mandate vaccines for them to go back to school in the fall and there is another health issue parents have to get involved probably at the state level to say this is not how things were meant to be. >> we could make health decisions for ourselves and families and not have it dictated to us. the pandemic has done so much to take away our individual rights and freedoms. >> masks are one thing for a lot of parents but when you talk about making a child take a vaccine, where parents, some parents will draw the line. that debate is still to come.

meanwhile i want to ask about this, chicago mayor lori lightfoot defending her decision to grant interviews to journalists of color. she is doing this in honor of her 2-year anniversary as governor. she said white journalists, not going to give them the interview, she says it is impossible for this glaring lack of diversity not to be reflected in the daily coverage of government, politics and city life every single day. how do you feel about this? this policy is racist. >> i agree it is racist. take a step back. it is not the first time this happened. we had segregation in commencement ceremonies, segregated dorms now. this is a policy the democrats and the media agree with. they believe in segregation and if you want more minorities in the press corps you don't do it by saying exclude whites.

carley: she still has not actually visited the. hear to act arizona attorney general mark brnovich. good morning, sir she still hasn't visited the border but this week we did learn that the white house is working really hard to finalize their strategy on how the vice president can address the root causes of illegal immigration. they are working but just not at the border. what's your reaction? >> well i would urge let he them go, joe to come to the arizona and texas to actually see what's on the ground. the reality is everyone knows what the root cause is the bralings biden administration has decriminalized and incentivized and now trying to monetize people crossing the border illegally. this is obviously a crisis. we are expecting 2 million people to cross our southern border just this year. think the entire state of nebraska coming over. overwhelming us on so many

deport the 1.2 million people with deportation orders that is going to have a devastating impact on us. and god forbid lives are going to be lost because of joe biden and kamala harris are not doing. carley: tragic reality. also, there is this new report that the biden administration is flying migrant children to tennessee. we hear a lot of border sheriffs say that this isn't just a border issue because a lot of these illegal immigrants are going into other states as well. you say there is a little bit of coordination issue between the federal government and states? >> this is a huge problem. we actually signed an mlu with ice and dhs to try to coordinate on these issues. biden administration canceled that they essentially will not communicate or cooperate with us in any way and it's disappointing to me because kamala harris was an a.g. at one time. we were colleagues at one point. and she should understand how important it is for the federal government to coordinate with the local sheriffs to coordinate with local law enforcement and
