tipping point for china and its american collaborators of which there are many. fox news confirmed that the biden administration quashed an investigation into the virus's origins earlier this year. it was initiated by the trump straight department mike pompeo. sources tell cnn that the evidence for undertaking it was not solid enough and relied on cherry picked facts. if that were true why didn't the biden administration say that at the time and then launch its own investigation? or a virus that killed more than half a million americans and cost trillion dollars is not worth investigating? or is the biden team afraid of what an investigation would reveal, that as trump said last

spring, the trump escaped from the wuhan institute of virology. china denied any role. deflected blame and watched the political fallout hit president trump. the cold truth is this: the democrats helped by calling legitimate questions about covid origins conspiracies. all done to hurt trump. they will never live that down because it makes them egregious china enablers. none of this would have been possible without the co-conspirators in the press. cran cnn and msnbc and the "new york times" all looked the other

way and helped biden, pelosi and schumer smear trump and the rest of us pushing for answers. they didn't want trump calling it the china virus or the wuhan flu and the press jumped in to help them. >> saying the chinese weaponized this virus. this is crazy racist talk. >> racist conspiracy theories are nothing new for the trump administration. >> it is racist. he wants to avoid for his response to the pandemic. >> laura: the lab leak itself this retracted recall says it all. -- article says it all.

this narrative came crashing down after a researcher who worked with wuhan virologist published a letter calling the lab leak theory viable. this caught the attention of real journalists like a science writer who berated everyone who wrote off the lab leak theory in the first place. the media are still pointing fingers at trump. >> i think the messenger matters. it was buryed in a former president who put in racist terms. >> then president trump and mike pompeo suggested they had seen evidence this was formed in a lab. refused to release the evidence. that made this political.

>> laura: nice try. not releasing intelligence while they were in the middle of an investigation is political? halting the investigation into the pandemic's origins is not political? the fact is this story is a ticking time bomb for democrats and the public health experts who became viral celebrities. event the "washington post" is raising the lab leak theory is reality. another obvious player whose credibility is on the line the intel community. how on earth did they miss this? maybe they were still too busy trying to validate that phoney dossier story or covering up for hunter biden. or maybe they had no interest in

pursuing any line of inquiry that made trump seem credible. they are more interested in fighting white supremacy which they think is a far greater threat to america than to an evil dictator ship that loosed the virus on the world and lied about it. it's an open question where the democrats who role control the intel will give us the truth. even though the senate voted to declassify all of the intel on the covid origins today, it is not clear if biden will actually live up to that.

>> you release the report in full after 90 days? >> yes, unless there is something i am unaware of. >> laura: there is a lot he is unaware of. this could blow up his soft on china agenda. if the lab leak theory is true, biden will have to get tough on china or he will have to suffer the consequences from the voters at home. biden would be forced to choose between voters and pleasing his donor base in big tech and wall street. based on biden's current approach to china it's obvious he puts multi-nationals over the middle-class. >> with president xi, i told him we welcome the competition. we are not looking for conflict. >> we are not trying to contain china. >> we have big disagreements

with china on key issues, but climate has to stand alone. >> laura: republicans on the hill must demand full and unfettered access to all available intel on this issue. people like senator tom cotton must have every chance to meet directly with the analysts in the intel community who looked over this data and hear and see for himself and all of the senators on the committee what the u.s. government actually knows. as for team fauci, they shredded their credibility by rejecting the actual science on covid and pushing instain lockdowns and mask mandates. remember when they were obsessed with hydroxychloroquine. fauci was a defender of china including back in february of 2020 on this show. why should we believe it when billions if not trillion dollars is riding on preserving the idea

that all is going to be okay? >> over the last several week the chinese authorities have been explicit they would not tolerate misinformation going out. >> laura: you are satisfied with all of the transparency coming out of china today about the trajectory and origin of the disease? >> in my direct interaction with chinese scientists, i believe what they are telling me displaur now -->> laura: now it's clear why fauc was so adamant. he could get crushed if taxpayer he funneled to the wuhan institute of virology played a role in this pandemic. >> you said don't do gain of function research and they said we won't? >> correct. >> you had no way of knowing whether they did or not except

you trust them, is that right? >> well, we generally always trust the grantee to do what they say. >> how do you know they didn't do the research and not put it on their website tlngets is no way of guaranteeing that. >> laura: write them another check --. the more the lies and distractions from china and the u.s. are exposed. the greater chance that republicans have of retaking congress in 2022 and the white house in 2024. right now that seems like the only way we will get real trustworthy answers about the origins of covid. we need those answers. that's the "angle." joining me now is someone who has been outfront on china. indiana congressman jim banks.

the "new york times" reports that the biden administration has a raft of unexamined evidence. they should not have cancelled the investigation that mike pompeo started. this gets worse by the minute. >> it sure does. three things, first we know that china and the w.h.o. lied about human to human transfer of the coronavirus. they knew in november of 2019 that human to human transfer occurred and lied it. secondly we should demand in congress, if we form a 9-11 commission on anything it's about the origins of the coronavirus and the negligence of the chinese communist party and those in our own government that allowed the virus to spread.

third, the big take away, the democrat party and joe biden can't afford for a commission like that to occur. this is where they killed the pompeo probe into the origins. the democrat party and joe biden are owned by big tech and the multi-national corporations on wall street who profit from a cozy relationship with china. the only way to stop the madness is to win back the house majority and into what kevin mccarthy tried to do last year. formed a bipartisans china task force. the democrats and nancy pelosi refused to participate. joe biden dismissed china as a threat. their biggest donors that put them in power profit from this soft relationship with china. it can't change until we take power away from the democrats. >> laura: i am bombarded by

people close to this group of public health officials and wonder when people will go to jail. if is this is a cover-up of the magnitude it appears to be, this could be the biggest cover-up in the history of the world. we have millions of people dead. trillions of damage done to the global economy and our own country. trillion dollars gone. we are is supposed to say we will stop the investigation and move on to fighting white supremacy. this is insane. >> i called on president trump to dump francis collins. he was funneling millions of dollars into stem cell research.

natural immunity from infection and fauci was wrong. the "new york times" said that both reports looked at people exposed to covid a year early. cells may churn out antibodies when needed. and the other study found that memory cells strengthen for 12 months after the initial infection. here is a professor of the yale of public school and a cardiologist. those two studies make the case that people who have had covid should get vaccinated. are they ignoring their own findings? >> i don't understand why they would make that case. we have information from huge studies with 4.6 people in israel who have had covid in the

past have over 90% protection against getting covid-19 and against being hospitalized and mortality. you have people like a doctor at john's hopkins saying 150 million americans have immunity and don't believe the cdc. that is real and it works. that's right. >> laura: it's like a natural vaccination process. your thoughts? >> well, it is. the individuals who have had covid-19 the data show and i looked at the paper carefully as a practicing doctor, one paper published did bone marrow biopsy in patients with covid. even after the antibodies are long gone. the plasma cells will produce antibodies if the body is

exposeed to covid-19. the current vaccination program is not even recording if a patient had prior covid. there is no check box to account for if someone has had covid-19. we have ample evidence that patients with covid-19 should not receive the vaccine and the cdc has no capture of this. >> laura: they have no incredible. the original sars immunity lasted 17 years. there was another study on masks that masks other studies we highlighted over a year.

>> that's correct. and a danish study showed that masking doesn't prevent restriction of the it still spreads in spite of masking to other people. we would like to be in control of our destiny and wear masks to prevent ourselves and others from getting infected. the masks don't work that well. >> laura: we have the american academy of pediatrics with the obscene recommendation that toddlers still wear masks to school in the fall. the new jersey governor said what he expects when school starts. >> we're trying to predict what school looks like on september 5th. we will likely be masked for the simple reason we only a couple of weeks ago got 12 to 15 years old vaccinated.

>> laura: unreal. >> it's not supported. i think it will do more harm than good. america has to move on. the masks have come to symbolize something other than the infection. 6 months ago we were in the heat of the infection. the problem was the virus. now it's mental focussing on masks. >> laura: kids in masks? >> look at other jurisdictions. look at sweden and states that open with kids in school and not masking and don't have clear plastic sheets. the teachers and kids are not getting sick. >> laura: it's insanity. a dweeb to a special friend when
