faction of people in the country saying they celebrate diversity and of course we could do that but no one seems to be celebrating the most important diversity and thus the diversity of thought and exchange of ideas and in this case, this teacher will be suspended or is and you wonder okay, we don't have civil debate anymore because i know you are right and here's why, it goes to eliminating that person and i'll give you one example that resonated with me, a play-by-play announcer for the nba, he was the play-by-play announcer and a player on the team asked him, what you think of the black lives matter movement on twitter? the responder all lives matter, every single one. end of sentence. he was fired no more than 24 hours later, he's had the job since 1998, no controversy, he does is jobs well. he made the statement that all men are created equal and that was the end.

in this district? what is the message to them about voicing his dearly held belief and opinion? it's got to have a chilling effect on them and they are growing up in this environment, what is it going to do to them? we grew up being told there is an exchange of ideas, we can talk about this and kids are being taught now that they can't. what if i have time, it brings to mind the masterpiece cake shop in colorado in 2012, a baker here who refused to make a cake for a same-sex couple because he had sincerely held religious beliefs that he could not create a cake to celebrate that, they could do what they wanted with their own lives, it's about him and his beliefs all the way to the supreme court and the ruling was in his favor and he was not forced to make the cake but it goes back a long way not being able to express your feeling in your own profession. >> i give all three of you and
