becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. i'm proud of teachers and parents for standing up against this tide this is only the beginning of what we will have to see in order to really turn the tide in this country. jillian: vivek, you say we have sacrificed true ofself and idea of excellence. what do you mean by that? >> diversity is about a good thing when it is about diversity of thought. when a diversity is a means towards the ends of pursuing excellence. but what we see right now is the creation of this new religion around wokism. the church of diversity. in the name of diversity has actually sacrificed true diversity of thought. in the name of diversity has actually sacrificed excellence. by the way for that matter in the name of inclusion creating exclusionary culture where certain points of view are just not welcome. we need to see past the labels to recognize that actually the only people served by this are the priests of that high church of diversity rather than the actual true objective of actual diversity of thought that defines the pluralism of this

country. todd: to that point, it seems those priest that's describe seem to be more or less by and large very, very wealthy liberal white people. how vital is it that people of color come out and reject the ct and say hey this isn't what we want. >> can i push back on you. of i don't like the expression of people of color. we need to stop talking about people on the paves of their melanin content. think about the expression people of color. it's amal go mates people of hundreds of different cultures and languages into one of two categories either of color or of white as those there are these two consults and pit them against each other. i don't fault you that's become the lexicon on both sides of the debate. people ideas they espouse and beliefs that they have. irrespective of the color of their skin. irrespective of their ancestry. that's where we need to get.

to say we were much further along decade ago from the civil rights revolution. we neil need to roll back and regain some of that progress we have lost and move forward. next decade remind us what we share in common as one people rather than divides us on the basis of skin characteristics. jillian: this is $52,000 a year private. if you are a parent of kids at that school what do you do. >> pull them out. many parents cooking so anonymously don't hide behind the vale. they should say so publicly if is why they are removing them and move them a school that match their values. todd: is there something else you want to see people do? >> yeah, look, i think that -- i think courage is infectious. when you find yourself in a school board meeting or parent teacher conference where you think you are the only person in the room who believes what you do actually speak up. my commitment to you if you do that you probably will discover you aren't the only person in
