>> kayleigh: fox news alert, critics slamming president biden for moving to dismantle president trump's america first agenda during his first overseas trip, as they warned that biotin is taking the country back to the obama era of weakness on the world stage. i'm kayleigh mcenany in here today, my coast emily compagno, fox news correspondent gillian turner, host of "no interruption" on fox nation, and tomi lahren and ari fleischer, fox news contributor.
9:01 am
welcome, everyone, french president emmanuel macron taking a swipe at former president trump during his meeting at the g7 with president biden. as you suggest it's now back to business as usual among the global leaders. >> i think it's great to have a u.s. president willing to cooperate. >> kayleigh: former secretary of state mike pompeo's is biden's message is clear, that america is once again willing to take a backseat. >> when i hear the administration talk about taking america back, they are talking about back to what president obama did for eight years where america was weak. we might've been liked, they are having this really fun time over at the g7 and everybody likes president biden. what's important is not that they like america but that they respect us and we deliver good outcomes for the american people. we need to focus on the things that matter most to americans.
9:02 am
>> kayleigh: ari, starting with you, it was relentless advocacy for the american people. look at nato, at the time the head of nato saying, look, president trump got things done. there were two countries meeting their financial obligations, the united states when president trump became president but he changed that and got 100 billion extra dollars for nato so it wasn't just the united states sharing the burden alone without these other countries contributing. >> ari: to put a finer point on that success story, when president trump came into office, now it's 11 nations spending more than 2% of their gdp on defense made i can tell you because i was a part of these meetings, previous presidents try to just cajole and be polite to the e.u. went to nato and we get ignored. to speak the language of diplomacy and europe would say,
9:03 am
oh, yeah, they'd go on and do what they always do and that was ignore us and spend their money because we were spending for them. it took trump being the bull in the china shop to convince them they had to operate differently and spend money in their own defense. g7, where president biden is now is the ultimate get along go along club. that's partly by european tradition. they live closer together than the united states, they cross an ocean but it's a reminder about why america's independence and the strength that we are nothing get along along, go along nation of the world has helped save the world. >> kayleigh: that's exactly right, they issued a communique, calling for an investigation into china on the origins of covid-19, they want the w.h.o. to leave the investigation, the same w.h.o. that praise china, criticize our travel restrictions and so on and so
9:04 am
forth and i don't think it's very promising. >> gillian: you don't have to take my word for it, every expert in epidemiology and u.s.-china relations has told fox news over the last two years that the time for a truly transparent and timely investigation into the origins was a year or two, a year and a half ago, that ship has sailed, that door has shut behind us, they tell us, because the problem now is the chinese government and officials there have had more time than anyone could ever hope for it to kind scrub the, go back to tamper with evidence by looking at the last day even six months ago no matter who the experts are and how independent they are, it's pretty meaningless, like going back and investigating of murder crime scene a year and a half after it happened, what is really to be gained from this? the idea that the communique from the g7 is calling for an investigation today, this weekend is a signal of weakness. i want to take a moment to push
9:05 am
back on something secretary pompeo said. he's right to say it's important that the u.s. should be respected around the world but it is, i believe, also important that the u.s. is like especially when it comes to these european countries. all this stuff they are doing this weekend is very important to them and there's a reason my president trump did it come too. you got that, you've got to go there, shake their hands on tell everybody we want to work together. the core difference, i think, is not so much political as it is a policy difference, president trump believes the u.s. had a special obligation to go it alone, to take on russia and china, the biden administration and biden's supporters really believe these two countries are now too big and too powerful economically, the u.s. can't take them on alone and they've got to build support among these other european leaders and then make the moves are where you see this, shape this g7 and nato
9:06 am
summit shaking out depends really on where you sit. does that make sense? >> kayleigh: it doesn't tomi, president trump, his strategy was to check shake up the system, he wasn't afraid to get out of the paris climate of corinth wasn't afraid to say, hey, let's question nato and the obligations of our allies financially, wasn't afraid to take on this globalist agenda and i think it's part of the reason he won an election is he said america first, done with globalism. i have a new strategy. >> tomi: exactly, there's a big misunderstanding as to what america first meant, it does not mean america alone but it means we have the right to put our nation first as all nations have the right to put their nation first. but i will say this, the day the united states of america starts kissing rings is the day that we lose everything we've gained in our traditions and values and culture and the great nation we live in and that is the day that this nation starts to tumble and a lot of people are fearful that that is starting to happen. beyond joe biden going over
9:07 am
there and they say he's more willing to cooperate, you know, it does concern me a little bit when they use terms like "cooperate" because as we've seen from joe biden's performance thus far, stumbling and confusing countries, doesn't seem to be fully there or fully stable and acute and that, i can't diagnose that by watching the man with my own eyes it's easy to see that he is not fully there, fully cognitive and that's a problem we had with joe biden for so long but the bigger problem that i have is that our other nations, particularly our enemies are looking at president biden and seeing somebody who is maybe not in charge of his own administration and who is in charge? it's the radicals, the radical left to seemingly don't even seem to live america very much so that's troubling when other nations are looking at our president and saying he's being controlled by members of the squad who really trash the united states of america every chance they get, that's troubling to see on the world stage. you might look cooperative and seemed jolly and be a nice guy
9:08 am
but we need to be respected and we need to come from a place of strength. >> kayleigh: we do and in terms of coming from a place of strength it's pretty questionable how other countries may be perceiving some of the gaffes of joe biden. i brought some evidence to back up your point. let's roll the tape. >> i know you all know but a lot of people may not know what covid is by harassing the whole potential of those who are harassing want to try to change things. i'm sorry, i'm going to get in trouble with staff if i don't do this the right way. i'm going to get in trouble with my staff, yeah, go ahead. >> i wanted to ask you, when you are having these conversations with european allies who are very concerned about these sanctions, how do you justify that? and what are your plans? >> 120 days, give me a break. i need time. >> kayleigh: emily, he also confuse libya and syria, not once, not twice, but three times on what you think our

adversaries are thinking? >> emily: probably a healthy dose of embarrassment on his behalf. i think they see him, obviously, he's a career man so they see he's dedicated his career to public service, to serving in this government but i think they see him clearly in a waning phase and as an american citizen to everyone's points here, i want my president to have our interests come first and however you phrase it it means a priority of american citizens. it doesn't mean to the detriment of other countries, we know that on the table for him are a lot of issues that matter to all of us, the nuclear capabilities of north korea and iran, syria, the arctic council, of course the global covid-19 in china's cooperation with that, a lot of issues on the global stage matter to us and trickle down and i hope that's not lost with his attempt at making everyone like him or that aw shucks persona he portrays because
