that web site. it's worth it. we will see you back here monday night 8:00 p.m. eastern, jesse watters and tonight at 9:00 p.m., our friend. that will be a great show. have a great weekend with the ones you love. ♪ ♪ >> jesse: welcome to this special edition of hannity. biden in crisis. i'm jesse watters in for sean and tonight, or at the southern border were after months of public shaming, finally found the time to make a visit. needless to say, she wasn't happy to be there. watch. >> was right now the right time to make your first trip to the border? >> this isn't my first trip.
6:01 pm
i've been to the border many times. >> the important aspect of this visit is after the work that we did in guatemala because i said back in march it's not a new planet but the reality of it is we have to deal with causes and we have to deal with the facts. >> jesse: why does vice president kamala harris think it somehow beneath her to visit the border? the country is facing the biggest migrant surgeon more than two decades, many are unaccompanied children but it took her 93 days to make it to el paso as one protester took it, the visit is too little, too late. as lara logan reports, dangerous cartels are emboldened and profiting off the ongoing search. take a look. >> what are you hearing about

the cartels on that side? >> still battling, trying to redraw the lines all the time but really focusing on much bigger. with the strategic movements are but specifically here they have been moving in a lot more recently. so there's a lot of new players and their own communications, so the way they are marrying up the two is bringing in their crews, their heavy hitters and have their own internal given radio so when they need help back up in order to communicate exactly what we are seeing in multiple agencies on the u.s. side doing their own thing. >> the fees that are being
6:03 pm
charged is also playing a part in that movement to the west we are seeing in the data shows that. the data shows the number of people now crossing versus what we've seen in the past. >> what does that tell you about the cartels right now? >> exactly what happens in mexico always affects us on the u.s. side and that's why you have to monitor because as it is moving in and operating it affects us and affects all of the movements on the mexico side in the movements of people into the united states. >> jesse: joining us now with more his the investigative journalist larra logan. looking at this package, they have very sophisticated communications technology, redrawing the maps out to the border and imposing their will on the biden administration in the biden administration doesn't seem to have any clue what to do. in fact, i don't think i've ever
6:04 pm
heard the president mention a drug cartel. what is your understanding of the latest developments as you sought? >> when you took to law enforcement officers who were at the border for years and also to cartel specialists, they all say the same thing, what you're seeing is that biden administration is not that they don't know what to do it that they've taken action to create the situation. they know perfectly well what all the people i talked to know which is that they are the most vibrant violent and extremely powerful and sophisticated and what they have feared for a very long time has now come into being that mexico and there was one particular cartel which has become the de facto government in mexico. it's taking its orders from this particular cartel more than any of the others according to these
6:05 pm
sources we have spoken to who have worked this issue for many years and what that really means is that you now have the most violent, sophisticated trained organizations on earth that have them at their disposal and the biden administration has purposefully and intentionally open the border for them and they've done nothing to mitigate that or change those policies, nothing to make it more difficult. in fact every single thing they do makes it easier and easier than the biggest question is why? >> you have to wonder if it's by design because their actions are just pathetic and the only way to deal with this and we know because we've talked about it, you designate them as terrorist organization that look at the mexican government into gear because they are corrupt to the core. thank you very much for that, very brave and we appreciate it.
6:06 pm
joining us now with the reaction is arizona general and republican senate candidate mark mark. so you just saw what happened down there and seeing the same thing on the arizona border, today kamala harris went down to el paso, just went to the airport on the way to california and says they are making progress on the border. what do you think about that? >> if this is progress, i would hate to see what failure means. the only people who seem to be benefiting from this, i was a federal prosecutor and i grew up here in arizona, we've seen firsthand the impacts the cartels have had, right now 1.2 million people we have a lawsuit against the biden administration because they are refusing to deport people and instead are being released into our communities.
6:07 pm
we have seen a 300% increase in the fentanyl coming across our border. not only arizona meanwhile, the cartels are enriching themselves and becoming more and more powerful and that's going to have an impact on my kids, your kids, and kids throughout this country we have to do something. the biden administration is literally breaking the law by not enforcing existing law. >> jesse: you said the cartel is shipping and putting them in body bags if you look at the opioid overdoses, you care about the death toll, you can say it doesn't matter, do you think they have a hold on the situation or do you think they broke the border on purpose? they broke it on purpose to turn texas blue and they don't really care about the effects, they only care about the politics. >> i think that's the sad thing.
6:08 pm
we look at what's going on in this country, there is a systematic attempt and whether it is collection related bills that are unconstitutional or these massive tax increases in the federal government doling out favors, crony capitalism and now we see what's going on of the border, 500,000 people have illegally crossed our southern border, estimate and more than 2 million people will cross just this year alone so these are record amounts so they can say whatever they want about whatever they are doing or not doing but the reality is they incentivize and they are essentially monetizing putting migrants up and lavish hotels and they literally are overwhelming the system that's not fair to anybody that pays his their tax.
6:09 pm
>> jesse: talk about caring about the kids, that's all they care about, the children. these smugglers are making bank trafficking these children across the board using them as product for smuggling fees, use them for sex trafficking for child slavery once they get on the side and then it's also a big distraction for a border patrol while our guys are babysitting them sending single men across and we don't even know who's coming. we say 1 million were apprehended in six months in the last fiscal year, think about how many were not and what you don't know is going to kill you. >> we know there are tens of thousands and that's the term they used with border patrol and we know that literally sometimes groups you mentioned in del rio, texas, commission should've gone to real border ports of entry and see what's really going on and we know sometimes they were groups of giving themselves up
6:10 pm
and they do that, the cartels are literally driving trucks across with god knows what but we know it's dangerous and so it is a danger and i know from talking to local sheriffs every day now we know the people are voluntarily turning themselves in because they know they are going to get government benefits and get put up in a hotel and going to be more consequences to have to ask yourself what about these people that are getting high-speed pursuits were trying to elude the police, what are they up to? and that something is so dangerous about the situation. this may be some sort of political power grab by the democrats but we will all pay the cost in terms of public safety and we know they were literally people being released from custody that isis refusing to pick up because the orders of the biden administration and i talked to the agents and it breaks their heart because they

6:24 pm
>> jesse: here with more is gregg jarrett. the department of justice, the biden administration have a shot to do anything about this georgia law were not? >> only a long shot. this is the lawsuit right here. in terms of substance, it is anemic. the arguments are weak, the reasoning is tortured. it's 46 pages but most of it is filled with the relevant historical information. the core of the argument here is the department of justice says that in georgia, black voters are being restricted, it's the opposite, voting access is expanding in many of the provisions. this is ignored by merrick garland, the attorney general and the lawsuit. instead, he focuses on two things. absentee ballots no longer in georgia will election workers be

able to handout absentee ballots like cotton candy. they will have to ask for a ballot as they do in most states. it's hard to see how that's unreasonable, much less racially discriminatory and the doj follows empirical evidence otherwise. the doj also claims this is racially discriminatory for an absentee voter to be asked to prove who they are. but that's commonplace and states across the nation. 36 states have voter identification laws including many of the blue states and in georgia, it's actually easier. even social security number, so it's actually easier in georgia, 72% of americans approve of voter i.d. in georgia, why it makes sense, prevents voter
