ocasio-cortez is blaming climate change. she tweeted, quote: the green new deal, which is a blueprint to create millions of good jobs, rebuild the infrastructure and protect vulnerable communities, is not realistic. instead, we do the adult thing which is to take orders from fossil fuel execs and make you swim to work. oh, good gravy, aoc. welcome back, tammy. i'm glad we can see your lovely face. i want to go to you first. >> thank you. >> i know you spent a lot of time in california, but you also live in new york. water usually flows downhill into places like a subway. is the subway flooding when a tropical storm comes through new york evidence of climate change or global warming? >> no, i think it's evidence of water. [laughter] and, you know, a storm. and we, of course, we saw that with sandy. now, i was not in new york during sandy, but, you know, this is a very -- you know, weather happens. this is one of big differences between california and new york. i never experienced it even

raining during the summertime. this is, you know, the desert. but new york actually has weather systems, different ones almost, it seems like, on different parts of the island. but this is, of course, this is what diminishes for people who take climate change seriously and want to make sure that the planet stays healthy and alive and good like we all do, this diminishes the importance of the issue. whatever they grab at something with, everything is a possible, you know, excuse to move ahead their agenda. it cheapens it. it's a horrible dynamic for serious issues for people. there's a point where the democrats and the left have got to say, you know, we do care about these issues. they're not getting anything done. in fact, they're making our issues worse. and it feels like grifting to a lot of people, and i think that's what we've got here. so it's a shame and, of course, it has nothing to do with climate change and people are now laughing at serious issues because the left have used them

people to take the tweet and the video that was put up by representative ocasio-cortez and run with it without any real information. this seems like it's a desperate attempt -- and this happens on both sides really, a desperate attempt to point to evidence that doesn't really point to anything other than what tammy said, water. the weather9 is not climate change. it's weather. to the physicist's point, and i listened to that interview, we're talking about weather patterns. we're talking about data. some of it changes because it's human behavior, but some of it doesn't. and it's way more complicated than to be able to point to one video of some flooding in a subway and say, well, there you go. we should spend on the between new deal. >> charlie, i want to get your take because joe biden has been attacking american oil and gas whether it's leases or pipelines. he's going to tax them. but he's also, because gas prices are rising, he said,

listen, we want opec to produce more oil as he's shutting down american oil and gas. does this make any sense? >> no, it makes no sense whatsoever. and it's, it's it's insane. and, of course, his flip-flop on trying to get opec to produce more oil has everything to do with the fact that that he's paying a price, a political price, for the fact that gas prices have doubled under the, during the, whatever, six, seven months that he's been in the white house. and i would urge everyone to go out and read dr. coonen -- koonin's book, "unsettled." he worked as a physicist in the obama administration. he's not some right-wing conservative. he's not anti-science or anything like that. he's a very -- he makes are rational, calm, thoughtful arguments and, basically, his point is that politicians like aoc and many -- and joe biden and a lot of others and barack obama, he doesn't call anybody out by name, but they take these

issues, and they hijack them as literally there is no catastrophe including a massive storm in new york city that politicians won't try to politicize to use towards their ends. and the other thing i would urge people to remember, for every single solution that people like aoc and joe biden come up with to fix these catastrophes that they claim are caused by global warming, find one solution that they offer that doesn't mean more power accruing to them or more money going to government coffers. you cannot find a single example. >> 100%, charlie. and, by the way, the green new deal sends jobs and dollars to countries that actually don't like us very much have. keep the money and dollars right here in america with american energy and gas. great discussion, you guys. still ahead, we have a pair of wild stories.
