one was the last time a sitting american gave a speech like this? probably not told the 1860s. it's hard to know how to process it. it was a stunningly irresponsible thing for an american leader to say out loud. and left texas and flew to washington, d.c., on the private jets. they did this in order to deny the texas legislature a quorum and then they shut it down. they shut downt the democratic process by leaving texas and they end of the words violated their sworn duty to represent their voters and they committed to what amounted to an act of, insurrection. texas lawmakers couldn't pass laws against a voter fraud. laws by the way the voters in

texas have said overwhelmingly they want past and that's democracy. but they are not getting it. the measures that texas motorists would like to see become law require some kind of valid and bill for voters that submit mail-in ballots. that would review voter rolls for noncitizens and remove people that are not allowed to vote. so nothing in the bill is radical, and if you oppose voter fraud it'spp in fact all very obvious and not controversial at all. nor did they would believe in multipartyop politics of the stp the entire process. it does not seem like the defense of democracy. in fact it appears to be just thepe opposite.

president has now called a coordinated criminality. dozens of shopping centers and now even warehouses and factories have been completely looted by thousands of people across the country and these two major economic hubs. at what you see as the police completely overburdened, unable to stop these violent looting scenes that unfolded in the country, with the president having to call in the south african national defense course on monday to reinforce efforts by police. there have been 200 people that have been arrested at, 72 people have lost their life so far. >> tucker: and so this

perspective, and we are playing video on the screen right now but entire shopping malls being emptied and office buildings being looted and as you said factories being burned. it looks like a big part of the economy of the country is being destroyed. > absolutely. it is devastating to an economy that is already bruised by covid-19. unemployment is in the region of almost 40% of the economy is struggling to get off of its feet and this is an added go to businesses along the coast. the situation is so bad that they are our concerns around food and medicine security as a result of the looting. we talk about medicine, there have been concerns around attacks on storage facilities that hold the covid-19 vaccines.
