from government teachers. don't we get enough of that from higher education? it seems that most health officials are fine with the left using school systems to indoctrinate kids against their parents' wishes, tonight, one state is standing up and saying stop. leaked internal documents reportedly show that tennessee's health commissioner, dr. lisa piercy is putting an end to these types of twisted practices. she is instructing the tennessee health department to, first, no longer mail notices to minors reminding them to get a shot, and, second, she is stopping vaccine drives at public schools. well, you guessed it, the left is republicannably outraged. the public education system is their greatest tool in indoctrinating and now inoculating america's youth. they don't want a pesky doctor taking that away from them. so, of course, they, you know, dust off the old playbook. flip through the pages and ultimately landed on their

trusty you're killing america's kids talking point. chelsea clinton the self-described global health advocate which is code for my dad was a president so i don't need a real job, tossed the first stone. she exclaimed, quote: this is so disturbing. public health officials in tennessee should be encouraging teenagers to get vaccinated, not capitulating to anti-vaxers. teens who don't get vaccinated covid-19 are greater risk of hospitalization, death, long haul covid. the truth is, this has nothing to do with being anti-vaccination. tennessee is not preventing anybody from getting a vaccine. this is about not wanting government officials going behind your back and brainwashing your kids with fear and misinformation. and if you want to talk about the risk to minors, maybe chelsea clinton should take a look at the data. in tennessee, 11 people, and god bless their souls, 11 people

their home page. that got us thinking that couldn't be the only progressive group going door to door passing out vaccine info. well, it turns out we were right. i hate that we are right, but we were. it's a long list of groups like ie united whose progressive platform pushes radical racial reforms and calls for climate justice. its website also links directly to planned parenthood. and alliance s.d. a group that wants to build a more progressive san diego. and the cnc education fund whose liberal agenda extends to immigration, healthcare for all, and the environment. and i'm sure all of these trusted messengers are going door to door for free, right? just out of the goodness of their heart. they couldn't be using covid outreach as an opportunity, i don't know, to line their pockets with government money and freshen up the old voter databases. here's a document we got from canvassers in lake county, illinois. tell them they should ignore no solicitation signs and knock on

of pluralism. i remember killing scores of carbon monoxide and islamic thugs. iraq at least had a chance if we handled it correctly which we ultimately did not, of course. we were told iraq was the bad war and afghanistan the good war. then, i deployed to afghanistan. i landed at the now deceased bag gram air base beaming with optimism and flew out nine months later realizing the war was already lost. it was 2012. today i went back and read the letters i wrote home from afghanistan. it was like reading letters from a guy being slowly mugged by reality. we could surge and conduct counter insurgency all we wanted, it wasn't going to matter. afghanistan didn't want freedom. and our commitment wasn't enduring. the operation was doomed to fail. we knew it then and we know it today. afghanistan had none of those iningredients i saw in iraq. it was and is biblical times with ak-47s and cell phones. one of my letters home included

this doocy. the lack of education and level of ignorance in afghanistan is staggering. literally only one in 10 men who joined the afghan national army can write his own name. and only slightly more can count. so the guys who can't read and can't count were going to fight off the taliban and surely manage the sophisticated military equipment we were giving them. worse, is as i wrote about,er afghan army unit was given more, newer, and better military equipment than the national guard unit in your home state and mine currently have today. for example, when i was in afghanistan, in afghan heavy weapons battalion was given 18 brand new 50 caliber machine guns and dozens of smaller caliber heavy weapons and rggs. i challenge you to walk into any army national guard armory in the united states and ask them how many functioning 50 caliber machine guns they have.

there won't be many, if any. 10 years ago we knew much of that equipment was being sold away in pakistan. today it's falling into the hands of the taliban. imagine, if we equipped ourselves at home instead of equipping illiterate poppy farmers who don't even trust fellow soldiers in their unit. the operation sadly in afghanistan is going to fall apart. it's going to fall apart quickly. as i saw 10 years ago it was obvious to anyone who wasn't blindly invested that the taliban maintained and maintains a psychological grip on the country, which isn't even a country. it's all about family clan tribe, religion and region. the afghan national government is a western fabrication. 97% of afghanistan's gross domestic product 97% is linked to foreign aid. their real economy is drugs. opium. outside of their capitol city of kabul, there is no real infrastructure and no education. we built schools and hospitals. and then our afghan friends

stole the furnishings and the taliban blew them up. now, some elite and well-trained afghans will fight. but most can't or won't. the real power has been and remains with the war lords and the taliban. the headlines each day underscore this. as the taliban take more and more ground, the border with pakistan was never even close to being closed, so we fought the war next to a giant safe zone for the enemy on are a arbitrary line. should we keep fighting this? hell no. should we learn from it? we had better. i feel horrible for the afghan people. especially women and girls. but it's their country now. we stayed too long. our soldiers did all they could while our generals and politicians dithers for two decades. our last job is to get our afghan advisers and interpreters out of there now. reports out today signal that the biden administration will announce the start of operation allied refuge a u.s. air force

led air lift to evacuate tens of thousands of our afghan allies. let's hope this operation goes better than the last one. when i was training for my deployment to afghanistan, i was aroused out of my bunk at fort dix new jersey with the news that usama bin laden was dead it changed the war. and probably should have ended it. our next guest shot bin laden in the face. joining me now is navy seal rob o'neil. rob, 20 years, a lot of thoughts, a lot of experiences, people know you from the bin laden raid but you have spent multiple tours over many years in afghanistan. am i off base here? >> i think you are completely on base, pete. and thanks for having me. yeah, it's one of those places afghanistan where if you haven't been there, you wouldn't believe people. one of the best stories that i have is one of my interpreters was also my chef. i got in an argument with him

one time i said you know if we surround afghanistan with 300-foot wall that was electrified, you wouldn't have a television in 10,000 years. my country put a man on the moon in 200 years and he said mr. can't put a man on the moon it's this big. and that's -- i mean, some of these people, not only do they not know how old they are, they don't know what time is. it's a different world. i have seen true poverty that children with no clothes playing in sewage. it's up is down and down is up. we can never install jeffersonian democracy there they don't want it. one of the best quotes i have ever heard we have the watches but they have the time. >> pete: that's not to disparage afghans. we have met wonderful people over there. we get it it's the other side of the moon to your point. it's an entirely different world. we tried to build a top down afghan army. i'm sure you would have met the best trained afghans.

that stop and it shows zero evidence of racism. in fact, representative thompson was pulled over for not having a front license plate and speeding away too quickly from a downtown intersection. during the stop, thompson also present add wisconsin driver's license. his money society driving privileges had been suspended for not paying child support. listen now to the body cam footage and you will hear thompson accuse the sergeant of being racist. watch. >> you profiled me because you looked me dead in the face and i got a ticket for driving while black. you pulled me over because you saw a black face in this car, brother. there is no way in hell i'm taking off with you behind me. you looked in this car u-turn and got behind my car. >> now, for clarity, representative thompson did not object to anything the officer said or did during the stop. thompson even released a statement acknowledging, quote: in the video you won't see the officer do anything that isn't by the book. but he goes on to say, quote:

we need to rewrite the book. though he doesn't say exactly why. the saint paul police chief says thompson owes the sergeant an apology and finally we should note, issues that have nothing to do with the stop are also being looked into including why minnesota rep thompson still has a wisconsin driver's license and why his address in saint paul is not in the district he represents. pete? >> pete: details. trace, thank you so much. appreciate it. all right. summer courses are underway at colleges across the nation. well, let's check in on penn state university. shall we? >> i just take the average white guy in class, whoever it is. it doesn't really matter, good. look at russell right here. just doesn't matter what he does. if i match him up with the black -- a black guy in class or a brown guy even, russell has a benefit of having white skin. how does it feel knowing that push comes to shove, your skin is kind of nice? >> i don't know. it makes me feel like sad.

ethnic minorities. it's in his own words. >> pete: so, exactly, is he making racist statements to justify his political or his ideological perspective. we have been told by many on the left, no, no, no, no, no. we are not teaching critical race theory. that's just something in law school. that's it. it's not anywhere else. is this ultimately what the teaching of critical race theory looks like in the open? >> yes. because it says that all white people are privileged because of their white skin. they belong to a class of oppressors or minorities of victims. so it is critical race theory. it is everywhere. and this professor and the university they should be ashamed of themselves. >> pete: absolutely. the student goes on to say it makes me feel sad because god knows i don't deserve it like i didn't choose to be white. that he was the whole point, no one chooses their race and ultimately the idea is to get past it certainly not what penn state is doing.
