7:00 pm
an episode very we will never b the media mob they are too cowa and agenda driven to give you just like big tech. basically the math pieces of al things new green green deal socialist party, but we have an antidote and it starts right now , let not your heart be troubled, laura ingraham is the answer. >> i came to new york only to see you, and they say no hannity . you weren't there,. >> haven't been in the studio forever. like a lot of us, but. >> i was so sad. >> fortunate for technology. >> that's up. >> i was waiting for my sippy cup, and i was going to give yo
7:01 pm
your freedom matters mug. i was going to give it to you i person, but i'll have to send i to you. made in the usa, baby. >> talk to my team, we have studio close at two home. >> i'm laura ingraham and this is "the ingraham angle" from washington with a fox news alert . barbara boxer was assaulted in oakland earlier today. according to a tweet from her official account, the assailant pushed her in the back, stole her cell phone, and jumped in a waiting car bertschi is thankfu she was not seriously injured. >> it raises the issue, what is it going to take for democrats to wake up to what's happening in broad daylight. in oakland, carjackings are up whopping 95 percent. murder is up 30 percent. year-over-year. and of course we all know this,
7:02 pm
the rise in crime comes is police funding is being cut wit money being redirected two various social projects. and the result speak for themselves. more news on this as we get it tonight. first, biden blows his chance, that is the focus of tonight's angle. over the weekend i spent in upstate new york, it was a worl away from new york city. this is a gorgeous part of the u.s., i've never been there before, the foothills of the adirondacks, it is incredibly beautiful. at the same time, i could almos feel the hope there evaporating. what americans thought was goin to be their fresh start host covid, is on the verge of slipping away. filling up at the gas station i noticed other customers exasperated, they were literall changing the price of the gas o the signs over there. there all looking at the price it almost $4 a gallon.
7:03 pm
when trump left office, it was about $2.24 in the dc area some places 190 to. it turns out the biden ministration ministrations ministration six months in is itself already out of gas. they might think they're doing lot because for them, destroyin individual initiative, blowing money we don't have, they are huge accomplishments. but a quick look shows us that biden has taken a golden opportunity and is just grounde into the dirt. the public's optimism about the future is plummeting. just since may according to a new news poll, it is down nearl 20 points-45 percent. in late spring, we were all looking forward to the future, the summer, the fall, back with friends and family, kids in school without zoom and without
7:04 pm
the most vulnerable, the elderly , most of them are vaccinated in millions of those otherwise vulnerable were as well. ending the scourge of covid was pretty much why biden was elected after all. >> folks, i will take care of this. i will end this, i will make sure we have a plan. >> unfortunately for biden, his plan ran into the public health apparatus that he refused to shake up. you got the sense that anthony fauci and the cdc richelle didn't much appreciate that americans were actually going back to their old lives. they are traveling, they are enjoying themselves, slowly returning to the office, at the delta variance, the what zeta variant, whatever we are at now. there's always going to be something that they would end u siding to put america in reverse . biden should have thanked fauci
7:05 pm
and sent him on his way into retirement. then he should've instructed hi team the following. going forward, i want you to focus on engaging in commonsense , respectful dialogue with the american people. no insulting them, no blaming them, no vilifying them, but instead, the team decided to ga lights to the unvaccinated people. >> this is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated. >> we have a pandemic for those who haven't gotten the vaccination. you're not going to get covid i you don't get these vaccination spread. >> the breakthrough cases reported all over the country tenant england, israel, and now it turns out they want to punish the vaccinated to. >> i'm deciding if i want to wear a mask. >> everyone when in public
7:06 pm
spaces should continue to wear mask. >> some people may want to wear a mask even if they are fully vaccinated. >> a huge mistake and incredibl demoralizing for the american psyche. if you're vaccinated, and you believe in the vaccine, why are you worried about the personal choices that other americans make? masking vaccinated people makes literally sent out zero scientific sense unless you're competing that the vaccine doesn't really work. on the other hand, we known tha natural immunities from prior exposure is very long-lasting and effective against the variant as well. why does the medical cartel refused to acknowledge this? why did they refuse to take thi into account when we know that millions of the unvaccinated, especially the young, have already had covid. they have tmb memorize spell responses, they do not need vaccine. while we wouldn't expect big pharma to be shouting about
7:07 pm
natural immunity from the rooftops for natural reasons, biden's covid team, could be an should be, that would help us o every front, especially on the optimism front. the reality is the government spent trillions in taxpayer dollars on research and give th government subsidies during covid, blue states needlessly stole a year plus of her education from our young kids. in the lockdowns, we know they destroyed hundreds of thousands of small businesses, it was terrible. aydin should have said, there are going to be challenges alon the way, but we are moving forward now. america's open for business, an we are open for learning. >> we are going in the wrong direction. >> this virus remains in surge of the next vulnerable person t infect. >> if just once she could speak
7:08 pm
without reading. now, of course they are thrilled , he loves the mask and they don't want us to be free o the mask and now they are totally fine with denying american citizens their basic rights if they refuse to get th vaccination. >> on the viral origins question , another area where biden has lost ground. how did the president not pledged to the american people, that he will get to the bottom of our funding of risky researc in china and also hold the ccp accountable if there is a cover-up which it certainly looks like there is. if this is covid messaging wasn't bad enough, biden has blown it on inflation per you want to talk about hurting optimism. you should have listened to larry summers, all that covert relief money that was thrown around, it doesn't go very far
7:09 pm
when prices are skyrocketing. it's an instant tax on everything all americans by. and it hits the floor in the middle class especially hard. targeting oil and gas companies will enrich the same people tha got richer during covid and hur the same people who got word during covid. don't worry, the trillions more that joe and romney and the group they are, they want to spend to put us further into depth, i'm sure that's going to help with inflation. please. they know it won't help. creating a socialist system where most self-reliance and individual responsibility gives way to government dependence an victimhood, that's going to mak us less free, and it certainly going to make us far less prosperous. mitch mcconnell was right today when he said that biden had the wind at his back when h came into office. if he had waved off the lunatic
7:10 pm
in his own party, if he had dropped their race obsessed woke wokeism and kept the pump border policies in place, and leave americans alone to reclai their lives, that biden would b sitting at 60 plus percent approval. and probably 65 or 70 percent optimism about the future. but he is blowing it. in the process, he is burying america when we should be in th middle of a huge economic revival. no elected republican, no moderate democrat, no independent, should be helping him spin it any other way and that is the angle. yield epidemiology professor is joining me now. it seems to me that the medical and administration officials, they are doing more to increase
7:11 pm
vaccine hesitancy than anyone out there because of these heavy-handed tactics, the blame game, the vilification, the demonization, your thoughts? >> think at think you're right, i think that the problem is the have no imagination, and they don't really think about what's going on and how to solve it. they're working on a premise that they didn't do enough in the first place, they will just be the same, but more so now, and that is a failed idea, and really, we have the tools to fi it, we just need to use them. as i've said many times in your program for the breakthrough cases, for people who get covid treat them as outpatients with treatments that work for a while , and that solves the problem. delta is going away in the uk, so this is a bumper effacing now , and it's very likely to be gone in another three or four
7:12 pm
weeks in the u.s. or going down in three or four weeks, we are really at what i would call a fairly optimistic point if we would just use our brains and solve it the way we know how to do. >> yet, you talk to folks who try to get their doctors to prescribe some of these antivirals they do have some stephen smith work, we looked a it, there is no doubt that it helps, but to get a doctor to b able to prescribe that, in a lo of states you can't do it. still after all this time. >> there are now many doctors across the country who are willing to do it, who have become aware that the evidence wasn't what they were propagandized to believe, there is also a number of telemedicin groups who have been doing it quite actively, they treated more than 130,000 patients now was the last count that i did with them. so there are plenty of places where people can get treated if they need too.
7:13 pm
>> a new study has come out ten days ago or so is revealing tha what you and i have been talkin about with others on this program for a long time which i the acquired immunity, the basi immune response after a covid exposure. its durable, it's broad, after persistent antibody responses and memory b and t cells, the results suggest broad and effective immunity may persist long term and recovered covid 1 patients. why has doctor 5 fauci and the cdc director, why do they so vigorously avoid the topic of natural immunity? why? >> think this goes back to the who when they removed natural immunity from the definition of herd immunity and there was so
7:14 pm
much uproar and outcry from the scientific human community that viewed days later they returned it to their definition. i think if your goal then you deny that there is anything tha will provide immunity except vaccines and now we know the vaccines were good, but not great, so we needed additional support besides just the vaccines. >> so we had tens of millions o americans undoubtedly you are exposed to the virus, and their various companies i know the tech company has testily got emergency use you could find ou if you have t cells right now i your body it should be much cheaper if the government wants to do something, but don't you think that would be smart for everyone to have their t cell measured before they rushed to get a vaccine? >> i think that would be useful but it's not entirely required, people know many times if
7:15 pm
they've had covid and they can assume that they have good immunity if they've had covid. it's the people who might've ha it, but we're asymptomatic that are facing a choice they don't want to make because they don't think it's in their risk-benefi interest to take the vaccine wh might consider getting tested. t cells are not the whole story. t cells are also important that migrates to the bone marrow are liable to stay around much longer than t cells even. t cells last for quite a while, but even so's, b cells are backup. >> there is no one i read rathe speak to about immunity than you . so good to see you tonight. thank you so much. with biden floundering everywhere from his response to inflation to crime, why are som democrats bending over backward to give him a lifeline. that's what they're doing on th infrastructure build. the gop members negotiated with biden and are being played it's
7:16 pm
embarrassing. now the democrats are demanding that the gop reopen discussions on all the points as we predicted. one of those being played like fiddle is louisiana senator bil cassidy. cassidy is one of the few republican senators to vote to convict donald trump and his second impeachment trial. despite the absurd charges and the fact that nearly 60 percent of louisiana and voted for trum and who is taking the infrastructure negotiating? it's ohio's rob portman, so cassidy represented by all of them, now rob portman is going to be the one negotiating away republicans hand to the democrat . joining me now is the host of the podcast. you think of louisiana, you think of senator senator kenned who is so strong and solid, and
7:17 pm
give got this guy cassidy, who was just elected in 2020 at disaster, why are these republicans just giving away th store over this infrastructure and giving biden a cover? >> it's because republicans hav a completely different psychology then democrats, republicans are literally tryin to keep the biden ship afloat. they feel it's they're responsibility to prevent it from kind of tipping over. there are no democrats to reall behave like this the only democrat who in essence even plays ftse with the other side is joe mansion. with hermes and there is a reason for that. he is a very conservative state which trump won decisively. think about cassidy, he's in a safe state of louisiana, think about romney in you job. so a lot of these sort of never trump republicans would try to kind of make peace with the
7:18 pm
democrats there is no political reason to do it, and what they should be doing is actually leading the biden ship sink so republicans can the midterms next year. >> here is how senator bill cassidy is doing the bidding. watch. >> we continue to work hard, we worked all day yesterday and through the weekend. there are some thorny issues, but we can get it done. the infrastructure bill is not the bernie bill, not the kind o reckless spending and taxation the democrats want to do. this is about roads, bridges, and highways. >> he is a very stupid man. this is how he thinks politics is done, he should just go back to practicing medicine and call it a day. dinesh, why does giving biden the victory grease the wheels for the reconciliation remake o america? why does it do that? >> it does that because the way the democrats operate is they
7:19 pm
will convert a small victory into a bigger victory. it will give them the kind of momentum where they say okay, w got the first thing done and no we need to get the second thing and third base and finally to the homerun, so republicans nee to do block and tackle. biden has a narrow window of about a year before the nib terms kick in seriously so everything we can do to block and tackle them in the meantime that's obviously the smart play for republicans. it's not the smart play for these guys because in some ways they are the useful idiots of the biden ministration. >> every louisiana and watching this show tonight, make your voice heard. talk to cassidy's office respectfully, show up, not respectfully, make your voices heard. we heard that pelosi is plannin to announce an extension of so-called proxy voting. during covid they didn't have t show up two vote, but now apparently she wants to make this permanent that's the ultimate goal here.
7:20 pm
they want to continue proxy voting. why is that such a bad thing, the new normal becomes the normal? >> i think that we can see here the democrats all across-the-board have sort of n respect here for democratic processes that have been long established. they are perfectly willing to use those processes when they come to their benefits, but the moment the political tables turn , you see this with the filibuster, you see this on so many other issues, the rules ar really not really rules for them , they're merely opportunities, but it's one way when its obstacles and the othe way bird this is a party completely without principle, and for us to debate the merits of the filibuster, on the merit of the proxy rule, they would sleep on those issues completel if the roles were reversed. >> this is why the republicans are negotiating with complete buffoon spread
7:21 pm
>> the biden department of homeland security made an announcement minutes ago that seems to recognize an immense failure of the border. we will talk to texas lieutenan governor as he reacts to the breaking news next, plus ben shapiro is here about how the authoritarian left is is ended in nearly every aspect of american life. what's on the horizon? the answers lie beyond the roads we know. we recognize that energy demand is growing, and the world needs lower carbon solutions to keep up. at chevron, we're working to find new ways forward, like through our venture capital group. backing technologies like electric vehicle charging, carbon capture and even nuclear fusion.

>> raking in the last hour, in response to what has remained a totally chaotic border situation , the department of homeland security just released a statement that certain family units you are not subject to public health order on the us-mexico border will be placed in expedited. it's an embarrassment, border patrol chief said brian hasting last year alone they apprehende more than 20,000 illegal migrants, joining us now is texas lieutenant governor dan patrick. dan, i'm going to believe it when i see it, but at least rhetorically, this is a huge course correction and admission of failure from the biden ministration. is it too little too late? >> it's much too little too late
7:27 pm
, laura, it is still bursting over the dam like a flood coming into the united states. i think the reason they did this , this goes back to trump policy is they are worried abou covid. right now, a lot of these peopl are coming from guatemala, i think their vaccination rate is about 12 percent or 14 percent, under a seven or 8 percent, so you have a lot of potential covid cases coming in and of course, that's an issue for the as you talked about at the top of the show, this has gotten ou of hand. i think that's what it's about. >> it's a massive percentage. we're not being told everything but apparently it's a very high percentage of the illegals that are coming into the country hav tested positive for this delta variant. you can't tell americans vaccinated, unvaccinated and th border has been open for six months. it's a travesty.
7:28 pm
>> this 42 that they are implementing would be just a trickle of the people they will stop and turn back, it won't make a difference. we have to close the border. that's why we are working on th wall now. >> today eager dave's alien and the texas house signed a civil arrest warrant for the first texas house democrats who returned from washington, now the warrant to apprehend state rep philip cortez is the first one signed by the speaker since all those democrats fled to washington, some of them got covid. what do we make of this at this point with the democrats? >> i have to be honest with you he was in texas, he was in the capital, or meeting with a capital leadership, they should have held him then. why put out the warrant after h left? >> why did they do that? that's weak? >> i don't know, laura, but we've got to be firm on this issue. we cannot have anarchy at the

7:30 pm
shameless. >> they are shameless and pathetic. there hanging up they're underwear in a photo, and their griping about the food there eating. they made this decision in term of a care package, more and mor texans don't care about them. they will keep a hard core of their democrats are reading the on, saying oh, he's helping them . they are losing support day by day, especially with independence and with those of color in texas. one of the reasons they are hammering us on the new number for the election vote is that w are gaining more black and brow boat voters. they talk about fear, they're the ones that are the border. the losing on defunding the police. the next thing they can to his try to separate us by race trac again i know you're going to send that dr. pepper tonight. >> that'll be the day, laura. >> for the last and only total compliance, total submission will do, my next gas addresses

this head on, here and now ben shapiro, who host hosted of the bench appear a show and author of the new book out tomorrow. congrats on the book, it's grea to see you tonight. we discussed this a lot on the angle, but the left wasn't just happy owning entertainment, higher education, now the looking to take over the military and traditionally more conservative spaces. what does this tell us? >> the renormalization of every single major institution in american life is continuing apace. everybody can feel this number literally the only people in america by broad numbers feel comfortable saying what they think our people who are just o the radical left great if your not on the radical left, you have to think twice about it, your affair of your afraid of being ostracized. institutions have been changed and changed from the inside. all it takes about 20 percent o people to re- normalize the institution along their lines,
7:32 pm
allowing their entrance bins, and there is cowardice within the institution. thieves seen it happen in the wide variety of institutions up to places that we thought were safe like corporate america in the military parade as we see these stories rolling out, ther will be blowback. we're just hope the blowback isn't too little too late. >> been coming to your point, the democrats are already putting a price, according to this new piece in politico, the may be losing ground on this cool equity plan, their writing that people are scared, democrats are underestimating parents anger in places where critical race theory is top of mind. they extend to many moderates and independent voters as well. then, they are just realizing i and if there doing it to the live terry with the wokeish you run into mommy and daddy bears and school. >> you can boil the frog too
7:33 pm
long before they realize that the frog is boiling purred the frog does eventually try to jum out of the pot. all the parents have said i'm sending my kids to school and leaving them they are and all these goodhearted teachers are going to civilize my kids and make them better american citizens are beginning to realize especially after the pandemic and having to zoom int class and seeing what teachers are teaching their kids that this is a bad idea the heads of our institutions don't have their best interest at heart an your straining to see that silent majority, the people who up until now have been sort of conflict of first starting to say i can't be conflict averse anymore because it's not left m to be an opportunity. either i stand up and take my kids are i watch as my kids get perverted by anti- american ideologies. >> one final point, ben, which goes to the point of your book, now you have the adl, the antidefamation league that are working with paypal to try to stop funding so-called hate
7:34 pm
groups. people think kkk, okay, it's no really defined what they hate groups are going to be. what does this say to conservative organizations or others that could just be throw into some list just because the disagree on some basic issues. i mean pick your poison on what issue. what does this tell us? what direction are we going in? >> this is the scariest thing happening right now it's the perversion of by the left, it was kicked off by amazon web services after january 6, and now you see it with paypal whic is supposed to be a neutral service provider, and now there saying okay, we're going to tea up with the adl which is a left-wing organization that is very broadly defined in the contents that they're seeking t target. it's not just people at the government level telling what t do, it's a hijacking of institutions in your life to ostracize you from your social security and it and then push
