research tells them that they don't trust the science yet, do we still have freedom in the country? >> sean, that's a lot to unpack and a very short segment but first of all but stuck with the fact that the cdc updated their guidance today and the reason they did that is because the now prevalent delta variance. the motivation behind the updates as it pertains to the delta variant, as that's a goodi idea. unfortunately the messaging was completely lost on their messaging should've been been insisting that adults increase the vaccination rates to help lower the transmission and unfortunately that got muddied into the fact that they are think vaccinated individuals now if you are in high transmission areas have to go back to wearing masks. they did this because they are stating some preprint data showing that of those very rareg breakthrough cases of people that have been vaccinated, the delta fire variant is causing such a high viral load in them that it's possible they can transmit to someone else.
11:34 pm
but here's the problem. we have lots of possibilities and very poor data collection so we don't actually have a lot of facts. with the message should have been was encouraging people to go out and get vaccinated. if you are not vaccinated especially if you are vulnerable you should consider wearing a high-grade medical mask, but that unfortunately got a little muddied. when it comes to vaccine mandates, it still astonishes me that the cdc has notst acknowledged the robust protection that comes following natural immunity. we have more and more data that show is that natural immunity from prior infection likely will be just as long-lasting if not more than the vaccine-inducedac immunity so i think a first step forward is to acknowledge those who have already recovered from covid-19 to add them to the production pool just like francis doing and many other countries are doing but the united states isn't therere yet. i'm also concerned with vaccine mandates outside of health care scenarios, especially under the emergency use authorization.

than vaccinated immunity, we don't know. but for now those who have natural immunity have a very reasonable proposition to not get the vaccine based on that natural immunity. if the government wants to get more people vaccinated, which is what all of us want to, we those who arewh not immune to get vaccinated and in the interim wear a mask in indoor public gatherings, this consensus there. but if the government wants to get more people vaccinated, stop sending a mixed message by having an emergency use authorization, and at the same time telling people it's safe. they need full approval right now and it's being held up for political reasons. >> sean: all right, thank you both. we appreciate it. when we come back a "new york times" reporting wanting to categorize trump supporters of the enemies the state. we have a message for that reporter and for democrats. and please stay us. ♪ ♪

haven't been vaccinated who have assumed the risk, they will wear masks to protect other on vaccinated people who have also assumed the risk. it doesn't make any sense and that's why 2.2 million californians have signed this petition and about a quarter of them are democrats and independents who voted for this guy about two years earlier. they talked about the crime and the rising cost-of-living and the outrageous homelessness while the sky has his own kid enjoying private education and he pushes this down the throats of californians. that's why i'm saying throw something in the tip jar because i have expenditure limitations. he can raise and spend as much as he w wants. >> this guy goes to restaurants when he tells everyone else not to. his kids have in person learning in a private school. at draconian shutdowns, the t highest taxes in the country, can this be real?

>> it is a real and let me tell you why. leo has theh ability to resonae with the american people. last week he lied to me, people in california and such crime was in the decline. i don't think barbara boxer and people living in california believed that crime was in the decline. then he had the audacity to compare people who had a medical reason to not get vaccinated to drunk driving. that analogy doesn't make sense. he's an elitist. and as we mentioned his son doesn't follow the rules about wearing a mask. he lied on television again about this kid having online training. but the guy is an elitist and larry resonates with the everyday voter. >> sean: this would be -- this would be a political earthquake. more "hannity" after the break.
