not paying their rent or the landlord. it seems like a slippery slope toward socialism? >> 100 percent but it is the democratic way. you cannot do anything without it. free money is never good. it never helps. it conflates the problems and the issues. people getting checks that was supposed to go toward read but instead disney world. unfortunately that's it people look at when you see free money. it's different when it comes out of your paycheck it's different if there's consequences. it sounds cold but sometimes you have to be cold. everyone is responsible to pay their way so those who can't and need assistance, i understand that. we will make room for them as america always does. but if you have that much money and back rent in the stimulus checks for coming back this is the democratic party. they take large amounts of money, misappropriate, we never know where it goes.

politicians who want to play robin hood. they think they steal from the rich to give to the poor. but in this case they steal from the not so rich giving to the not so poor. then that result is the absolute annihilation of the american dream. you see these people that have second houses that went out to pay college tuition or build a nest egg. something make-believe to their children. or a vacation. they work their tails off all their lives. for the federal government to step in and destroy with a built it is pretty disgusting. that's what you get out of washington. laura: gun violence spikes in liberal run cities from a shooting outside a laundromat in new york city to tourist on bourbon street running for their lives when gunfire broke out. when will it end?

>> welcome back to "the big sunday show". gun violence and democratic run cities reached alarming levels over the weekend. in your ten people her after people opened fire at a laundromat with a brazen coordinated attack between gang members. seven victims were innocent bystanders. the gunman pulled out guns and jumped on mopeds to get away. and in indianapolis a four -year-old is among the five people hurt in a shooting outside of a funeral home yesterday afternoon. investigators believe some of the victims were in the area to attend the funeral when they were shot. the little girl is in critical condition. new orleans bourbon street gunfire rang out at 3:00 a.m. five people hurt. so far no arrest have been made in any of the shootings.

laura, it feels every week we hear lawmakers say something has to be done about the violence and every weekend we get the numbers and hear the tragic stories about the children shot and nothing seems to be fixing the issue or getting done as result of this violence. laura: it is terrible and so sad and shouldn't be happening that they key is it is happening primarily in democratic run cities. these are all cities that voted to take funding away from their police departments last year. who police officers have been demoralized and what you expect to see happen? of course crime is on the rise. murders are up and a lot of these are gang related. you just reference that what about that gang members over the southern border right now? we have to put a stop to that. we have to get funding back to

the police department and start respecting police officers again and get a handle on the crime because unfortunately, it is right. nothing is getting done about it. carley: murders are up 16 percent in major us cities. such a break that down, 259 more people were murdered in 2021 than 2020 and 548 more have been murdered in 2021 than 2019. it has been said before but the black lives matter movement they say they care about black lives that what about those people? tyrus: anytime a group that starts off with one group the only one that matters it is

all about profit they are not concerned with lives it just sounds good to talk about it. but remember the powerful testimony on capitol hill by the capital police when that brave officer talked about what it was like for him dealing with mobs. you can literally take that panel to anywhere in the country in the cities and hear the exact same stories. the difference is because it is politicized for the democrats to support them if it wasn't in the interest of the democrats we never would have heard those speeches from the police officers they had their knees capped. there is no funding. there is no respect. why would you take chances anymore? these spaces spit in the face of the officers. the worst human beings are coming out because they are emboldened not only do they respect police officers but at the same time not withholding the law because there is no police officer out there. so we just see what happens when we don't have the police and for those who thought this was a wonderful idea to defend

>> absolutely. the flip-flop has been a total messaging failure coming from doctor fauci and the cdc and members of the biden administration. now that we have a vaccine, i don't understand why they would force us to shut down or a child would be forced to wear a mask in school to protect a 35 -year-old who has voluntarily chosen not to get vaccinated. i don't know if there will be more closures coming but for now he says he doesn't think that would happen but also you can tell the powers that be are inclined toward that direction when you have wilensky saying biden is looking into a vaccine mandate that walking it back then the president was asked about more closures and he said it could be a possibility. i think the messaging has been one of the biggest failures as

tyrus: welcome back to "the big sunday show". facebook under fire for trying to silence law enforcement. illinois association of chief of police honored officer as officer of the year for shooting and killing a staffer on —- a stabber who attacked him but facebook denied the request. this add content has been disapproved for violation of facebook advertising policies and guidelines. your matt add may have been rejected because it mentions politician or about sensitive social issues. in response the executive director of the chief of police said "the way i see it , facebook things it's wrong to honor a brave police officer who suffers serious wounds while protecting his city. how is that political?

in addition an organization called blue hearts for heroes which helps the families of law enforcement, had this post flagged as spam. the cofounder spoke out this morning on fox and friends. >> i think there are facebook employees at look at certain post they see something with law enforcement and right away they block it or put into spam that means bad. 100 percent i believe that. we have reached out to facebook they have given us no indication if they don't tell us why they are blocking something how are we supposed to keep from getting blocked in the future? tyrus: this is outrageous with the attack on the police in this country law enforcement gets it from all ends to the point it is socially not acceptable to honor a man who risked his life? to keep citizens safe?

laura come you have traveled the world and have seen law enforcement all over the corners. have you ever seen law enforcement treated as badly as they are in america right now? laura: no. it is disgusting. i have never seen something this ridiculous. we are so lucky to have these men and women who risk their lives every single day for all of us. the other reason we are able to live in a civilized society. what i take from the story is that facebook and all social media companies have too much power. repeal section 230 if we did that they were not be allowed to influence public opinion in the way they do. they know exactly what they are doing. it is disgraceful and a disgusting slap in the face to every person who wears the blue to represent america. it is so sad that we have come here. it seems so quickly that society has fallen into this

thanks to facebook and other social media outlets. tyrus: i call this woke supremacy the fear of the woke is so powerful that you are not willing to run a story about an effort like this. when you look at the landscape, do you see any optimism for positive reinforcement? >> i have been thinking a lot about that and wondering if we are about to enter a pro police era. as it continues to skyrocket i pray people come to their senses because it does happen at a local level with local leaders defunding police officers and minimizing cops. but in this particular instance, i really think the joke is on facebook.

but i think the big conversation this week is about the mandates of the masks. we have schools opening up as early as next week. i think this time around people will be a whole lot more to go along and more reluctant to trust health officials at the federal government level, telling them you have to do everything by zoom and wear a mask everywhere you go. and i imagine that not only we talk about this week but the next couple of weeks. laura: i want to remind everybody as we talk about covid, remember how this started. to flatten the curve and we did not learn anything if there was another lockdown or another quarantine situation, maybe we should remember to quarantine those people who are at risk.
