own country. joe biden has a messaging problem. the pandemic has ended and the economy has been restarted. but biden acts like none of that happened. 70% of the country is vaxxed and deaths are at the lowest level ever this summer. biden is moving backwards and masks and mandates, and the teachers unions are like we don't know if we can open in the fall. if the economy is up and running why do we need to keep giving everybody free rent? and why do we need to spend millions on stimulus. millions are sitting on the sidelines and our wage gains are offset by high gas prices. the president has a bigger problem than that. management. can't do it. the man can't manage anything.

wherever biden and the democrats are in charge, it's a disaster. the border was mismanaged into a full-blown crisis. the cities are mismanaged. the quality of life gone, and people fleeing to florida or the burbs and buying guns. the teachers unions and crazy school boards are destroying the classrooms with racism. all these problems didn't have to happen. but the left made them happen. biden doesn't have a clue how to address any of them. it's only going to get worse. will republic cabs take advantage of it? joining me for reaction. fox news contributor, newt gingrich. do you think the republican party can come in and make hay out of these problems? >> i think the problems are

going to be so big by the time of the election next year that the country will turn to the republicans. i think on the house side, kevin mccarthy has a strategy. it worked last time. he gained seats when people thought he would lose seats. but he gained them by recruiting the right people with positive ideas. when you realize how many people are coming in. the biden administration is importing the city every month of illegal immigrants. in the month of july they imported the equivalent of the city of birmingham, alabama. and they are going all over the country. and we have no idea where they are going. this can't go on very long. we have rising crime rates in our biggest cities. that gets you back to the 1970s when we thought crime

was terrible. i think you have spending spree under way that will bring massive inflation. you take all those pieces and put them together and sort of jimmy carter times 20. i think by next summer this will be a disaster, and the democrats will be seen as the party incapable of solving any of these problems. >> do you believe joe biden gets it? i don't think he gets it. he kind of got the crime thing. we did a speech about guns. then he forgot about it. doesn't talk about it anymore. the media doesn't talk about the border because kids are being hidden by joe, so they don't have pictures to exploit. it's not even on his radar. do you think he's cognitive of these rising issues disturbing the american people? >> you do a great show and you are often very funny. you may be funniest person on

fox. jesse: don't tell gutfeld that. >> but you have a great sense of humor. and i think asking the question, does joe biden get it is one of the funniest things you said this year. how could you watch him for five minutes and have any belief that he gets anything? i said the other day i waiver between fauci and biden and whose cognitive ability i worry about the most. both of them frankly are only partially in touch with the real world. president biden i think gets almost nothing anymore. frankly even when he was a senator he didn't get much. people tend to forget, he was not a brilliant intellectual. he wasn't the john f. kennedy of his generation. jesse: even barack obama was aware of that. something that will be creeping

up and i don't think he sees this coming at all. the fight over the vaccine mandates and the passports. it's not just the problem with the whole country. it's especially a problem with his base. here is democrat mayor of boston basically comparing the vax passes to segregation. >> we have a long history in this country of people needing to show their papers, slavery, as recent as immigrant population has to go through here. we heard trump with the birth certificate nonsense. here we want to make sure we are not doing anything that would further create a barrier for residents of boston. we are disproportionately impacted. jesse: i think black communities are vaccinated just under 30%.

now democrat mayors are going to tell them they can't work out in gyms and can't go out to dinner. i don't think that's going to fly. >> you have seen it with the postal unions which said no. even the french are having riots over the idea of this vaccine passport. america has a deep tradition of being in favor of individual liberty. the idea that the government is going to come in and insist that the last 15 or 20% get vaccinated i think is an example of tyranny. i think it's outrageous. i have been vaccinated twice. i think that -- i think it's a smart thing to get vaccinated because even if you get the newest variant, you seem to get not nearly as sick.

from that standpoint it's coming. but i will defend permanently the right of other americans to say no. i am sick of watching these petty tyrants, whether they are mayors or governors or the president of the united states, who by the way issue orders, then you see them violate their own rules. so you are supposed to wear a mask inside, but the mayor of washington doesn't or the mayor of chicago doesn't. they don't have to behave like the commoners. that is absolutely unacceptable in america. and we ought to rise as a country and say that. just say no. a good friends of mine who is actually very reasonable. i was shocked when she said to me, she said if they come back with masks i am not wearing bun and they can put me in jail. i'm sick of being told by these
