someone but not for someone but voting against someone. know one voted for joe biden. that's just a fact. no one showed up to his socially distanced zoom rally. no one. no one has ever said i love joe biden. the entire american population either voted for or against president donald trump. hell, no one even vetted joe biden. and now we pay the price in the form of an incompetent, empty suit who and let's be real here, physical and mental condition may not be up to the job. now, that's not to be mean or to have a hot take. this is important. because it's dearly costing the united states of america. it already has cost us countless trillions. it's cost us stature in the world, credibility, and it may soon cost us american lives. this is a big deal. and we just simply can't be nice about it anymore. every week this country seems to be shoved into another crisis by a president who doesn't seem to

know where he is. and every time he says things are under control, you can be rest assured the exact opposite is true. so, today, when he promised that he is going to bring every last american, stranded in afghanistan home, more than a little skeptical. and when his plan to get americans scattered throughout afghanistan back to the airport revolves around trusting the taliban, i'm more than concerned. >> we have no indication that they haven't been able to get in kabul through the airport. we have made an agreement with the taliban thus far. they have allowed them to go through. it's in their interest for them to go through. so we know of no circumstance where american citizens are carrying american passport are trying to get through to the airport. >> will: that is contrary report. that is not true. that is a lie. the taliban are calling the shots. not joe biden. and getting americans to the airport isn't as easy as the president is clearly letting on right there. here, for example, is one

firsthand account of what is really going on on the ground trying to get to the airport. >> when we got there, there was a crowd of several hundred, potentially even over 1,000 individuals, i mean, afghans who were desperate to get into the airport, able to make contact with one of the marines and yelling american, american, americans here. and he just, you know, i made eye contact with him and he said get out. back now. get back now. and the marines are just firing, you know, their weapons, you know, firing warning shots in the air. >> will: that doesn't sound like the taliban serving as ushers at the airport, which by the way, is the one part of afghanistan that joe biden claims we have secured and it is totally engulfed in chaos. see for yourself. [screaming] [horns blowing] >> will: that's what you can look forward to if you take joe biden's advice if you can make it through the taliban checkpoints who apparently will gladly let americans through without harm. ignore the reports that they're going house to house, hanging people who have worked with the united states. and ignore the video of the taliban militants brutally executing an afghan police chief. joe biden seemed confident in his shall we call it a plan or at least he wants us to think he is confident. >> this is one of the largest, most difficult air lift in history and the only country in the world capable of projecting this much power on the far side of the world with this degree of precision is the united states of america. >> will: is that what we are doing? we are projecting power? this is power? france and britain are going in

kicking butt, dispatching special forces to rescue their citizens and this started last saturday. while the pentagon pulled our troops back. meanwhile, we don't even know how many americans are stranded behind enemy lines. >> i don't know the exact number of people who are -- americans that are there. and those who may have already come home to the united states. we are not -- we want to get a strong number as to exactly how many people are there, how many american citizens and where they're. >> will: does that inspire confidence for anyone? the american people, the american military, our allies, our adversaries? presidents and presidencies are defined by how they respond to a crisis. the difference here, what we are watching is, this is a crisis created by a president. and add it to the growing list of crises facilitated by president joe biden. the border disaster. inflation, a nationwide crime

spike, these are not crises that he inherited. these are crises that he has created. now, many americans, i think, are rightly asking themselves if joe biden is physically and mentally up for the job. but, that might not be the real question. the real question might just be is joe biden the one doing the job? here to answer that question former acting director of national intelligence ric grenell, rick, great to see you don't. let me ask you that question directly. is president joe biden the one calling the shots? >> well, it is a very good question, will. i would -- i really don't know the answer other than what we can speculate from the outside it certainly looks like there is a hole bunch of academics starting with the national security adviser jake sullivan who seems to be issuing white papers and missing the reality on the ground. what we do know is that in june

and july there were some very stark warnings. i thought it was really interesting today that congressman lee zeldin asked of the defense secretary what did general miller tell you before he closed down bagram? what did he tell you, defense secretary? and what did he tell the president of the united states? ?the answer was very telling. the answer was, you know, we are going to have to look backwards and figure out what went wrong later. now is not the time for that question. it was a total dodge. because, what is becoming clear from intel sources and from state department sources is that those warnings were quite clear through june and july. people were frustrated. they were contacting congress. certainly we know that the 22 of the 23 people who work in the economic and political bureau of our u.s. embassy in kabul, they signed a dissent cable on july 13th that was because there

was more than a month of frustration that no one was listening to them. they approached congressman milinowski and there was no response. there is a frustration from the career officials that the politicking and those that are supposed to help them are not helping them. now what we see is they are stranded. many americans are stranded behind, you know, enemy lines now with the taliban. >> will: i think what have you laid out for us really well, rick, is the lie or incompetence that have led us to this chaos. i do want to follow up on the question i asked you, because there is in doubt that joe biden was one of the most tightly managed candidates that we can remember. now, i think it's fair to say he is a tightly managed president. when do we get to hear from him? when does he make a public appearance? when he does, who is with him? i can only imagine that he is a tightly managed president within his administration? now, i know you have said on these airwaves, rick, that you think susan rice has undue or

inordinate amount of influence on this administration there are others, for example, point to chief of staff ron klain, and that brings pee back. if he is so tightly managed and all looking at this and saying is he physically and mentally capable of the job? they are certainly asking those same questions inside the white house. and then, therefore, who is call the shots? >> it's a really good question. i do believe that susan rice has a huge role and she is doing this from behind the scenes. no one believes that susan rice is doing domestic policy. she was assistant secretary for africa. assistant secretary of state. she was our u.n. ambassador. she was national security adviser. she appointed jake sullivan who, as we know, was the person who sent classified emails to hillary clinton. so we have got a whole team of people that really report -- have reported in to susan rice in the past. and she is clearly calling international shots. she is not doing domestic policy. we know that and i think that

you are right about ron klain, our chief of staff at the white house, he has got a huge role. they have been largely silent both susan rice and the chief of staff. we should hear from them because we know that they do have a very large role. >> will: really quickly, we only have a minute left here rick? what about kamala harris? she says she is the last one in the room when decisions are made. she was promised she promised the american public that would be the case during the campaign. specifically with afghanistan. what is kamala harris' role? >> i think she is running fast away from this you know, democrats from california are not challenged very much as they rise to greater roles. she has not been challenged, certainly wasn't challenged in sacramento. she has had a free ride for a long time. i think she is not very good in crises. lastly, will, let me say one point. this was not an intelligence failure. we need to be very clear about that. the intelligence community warned. we see so many warnings for june and july. this is a political failure.

taliban. to say hear the president of the united states to say we need to work with them or trust them to usher americans to the airport, does that comport with what you not only have witnessed but what have you encountered? >> i know, i'm very, very angry because over 400 combat missions and so many different fields of combat, i have never once lost a fight. my team has never lost a fight. i don't know any marine who has lost a fight. and that includes the taliban. when we meet them face to face we crush them. we were pretty good for the past 4 and a half years at impeaching a president for no reason. if anything deserves an impeachmentright now. we don't do this. we don't ask the enemy for permission. we go in there. we crush them. we win every single time. and then we leave with our people. that's it. it's infuriating that i have to talk to my combat veteran friends who fought for so many years and they are wondering why? why did we fight? you know, for these people to just until we elected people in suits that can't do anything?

admired so deeply all our lives. the champion of liberty and democracy and the guiding of what is right in the world. so the idea that this isn't absolute catastrophe for america's standing, and sense of power in the world and authority is a total joke in terms of china, it's not just that they're now going to be swooping in and getting those vital rare earth minerals which by the way the democrats never stopped lecturing about climate change and how we have got to have electric cars everywhere and phase out gas. you have got to have those rare earth michelles for the batteries going to power this green future that biden wants to build. he has handed all that over from afghanistan to the chinese. another report out that we have been hearing is that the chinese are going to be working with the taliban to ensure safe passage for americans, why? because biden can't do it. our own government can't do it, so we are now going to be dependent on the chinese? what a humiliation? they are laughing so deeply about all of this in beijing.

biden tried to dress this up as some kind of great strategic power play now we are out of afghanistan we can focus on the great game of power on our real opponent china. he has handed them a massive propaganda and strategic victory. >> will: right. you know, steve, i can't help but wonder how the unaffiliated, i guess that's a word i will choose, unaffiliated individual or country might look at this if you, steve hilton or me, will cain, or we, fox news, say joe biden failed at his job, some people would say well, you would have said that no matter what. but you point out we are talking about the labor party in the u.k. we're talking about people from every political stripe, from every country in the world of every political persuasion looking at this and going what a mess that this president created. now, to that point of that propaganda you brought up. china gets to go to the world and with that credibility, with that message say america is a declining power. now, i think the real question then steve is, are we? are we a declining power?

>> will: new york city mayor bill de blasio might be on his way out but he plans to take fall sports with him, i guess. this morning he tweeted out new guidelines for athletes threatening students who haven't been vaccinated. get this: you have to have the covid-19 vaccine shot, required for all students and staff participating in quote high risk public school athletic league sports this year. these athletes already last last year to covid now it looks like they could have another season stolen from. they this covid craziness is not exclusive to the big apple, washington state is going even a step further. they are requiring all teachers and staff in the state to be vaccinated or risk being fired. when is this madness going to stop? let's ask seattle radio host jason rantz. jason, tell me how far can it go in washington? >> i mean, we're going to find out. this was not you might get fired

if you don't get vaccinated. , which by the way, is for all staff and all public and private schools. this is also for colleges. it doesn't matter if you are a teacher or a custodian or a coach. this matters. and if you don't -- not only do you get fired, you will not be available to get unemployment benefits, which is insane to me how ghoulish it is to threaten someone's livelihood to say under the threat of basically total financial insecurity that we're going to ruin your life, your career, your ability to pay your rent, your ability to put food on your table if you don't get a vaccine. i think that people should get the vaccine in consultation with their doctor if they want. the fact of the matter is, not everyone needs the vaccine right now and the fact is some people have reasonable concern that could otherwise be addressed if you actually have honest conversations with them and have them sit down and talk to a doctor. if you are doing this under the

threat by the government, that just goes too far for me. we should call it out for what it is. it's authoritarian. >> will: you mentioned washington state football coach has not wanted to get the vaccine. he has basically now been threatened with getting fired. i think he has said he will comply in order to continue coaching the cougers. i asked you however could it go i imagine we'll find out somewhere be it in new york city, be it in the state of washington, be it in one of these cities or states run by honestly these far left radicals who seem to have not just enjoyed this power but may have let their hysteria run wild. as long as we are in that open space, i don't know if thereson answer to how far this can go. >> i think you are right. the threat to our freedoms right now are bodily and medical autonomy is greater than covid. and i can't say that because covid isn't serious it is for older people and people with underlying health conditions. however, we have vaccines. we have incredible therapeutics.

the same thing. we see the same issue. this weird crowd derangement. and all met by political leader and others who make it clear that on the national and the local stage, as much as on the international stage, they don't know what they are doing. internationally, we see american leaders who don't know what they are doing, then we see these domestic cases. sticking up barriers and sticking kids among plastic barriers that turn out not to do any good. you have mayor bill de blasio you were just talking about who seems to have come from lacrosse players. mayor de blasio presides over a city in new york violent crime. homelessness, drug abuse. people laying, lulling around in the pavement in stupor faction and mayor de blasio announces today this is the lacrosse players he has in his sight. it's all part of a package, i'm afraid. >> will: we are showing images on the screen while you are

talking. i'm looking at plastic barriers it's just wonderful that covid doesn't have a vertical leap and can't move horizontally between small plastic barriers we placed. covid not very athletic can't move around. you talk about politicians i asked tucker carlson this question last night. you are the perfect person to answer this as well because of your research and your book, i'm as concerned with the willingness of individuals who police each other. i'm as concerned not just with our political leaders, but americans who want to lorde over each other with these covid protocols. what is it inside of us that really comes out in these moments? >> that's right. that's a very important question. a very good question. one of course we have seen in our era on social media. haven't we? social media basically exists for people who want to correct other people's behavior. to call other people out. to tell other people that they are wrong. now we have seen, basically, the

social mediaization of american society. so that what was just horrible, nasty virtue signaling behavior on social media has spilt out into the public realm. the mask-wearing, just for one example. and it is this thing of demonstrating that you are better. demonstrating that you are virtuous. you know, and it's the same with vaccines. it's the same with all of this. the problem i have with this is that the public are -- and it's not just in america. democracy after democracy so willing to be browbeaten into this and then to sort of police each other. america has got it relatively lightly compared to some of our friends and allies. down in australia this week. the premier of victoria scolded the population of local ozys telling them that from now on, you are not allowed to drink your drink outside unless you keep your mask on. >> will: yeah, i don't know how do you that. >> unless you can drink through a mask. drink your pint through a mask
