americans stranded in afghanistan at the mercy of the murderers taliban. beyond infuriating biden and jen psaki began the week on vacation as the taliban took over the country. we didn't hear from president biden until monday and he did not take questions, biden's abc interview raised questions about the team's decision-making skills. it wasn't until late this morning that the president's team realized he shouldn't head to his delaware beach house today. he will reportedly go tomorrow instead. after hearing his news conference today, we can conclude the biden white house and cabinet are members of the gang that can't shoot or talk straight. they are basketcase teeming with contradictions and incompetence. after a week of mixed messages biden epstein still isn't even on the same page. >> what interest do we have in afghanistan at this point with al qaeda gone? >> we know that al qaeda is a

presence in afghanistan. >> it is now clear biden is being kept in the dark by his team, completely lost touch with reality. >> criticize not to withdraw the conduct of that withdrawal and made them question their credibility. >> i've seen nothing like that. i've not seen that, the opposite. we are acting with dispatch committing to what we said we would do. >> someone should tell our allies as the wall street journal a billboard knows the chaotic afghan withdrawal shocked and angered us allies and yesterday the uk parliament

held biden in contempt for his disastrous withdrawal, so much for rebuilding nato. another 3 years of biden and we will be lucky if we have a single ally left, joining me now is newt gingrich, former house speaker, fox news contributor, you've been in government a long time, you know the world, you've experienced things many of us have. it is a remarkable, so many layers to this. it is shocking, disturbing, dangerous, frightening, what are your thoughts about the past week? >> you need to see afghanistan as a warning sign not just focus on afghanistan but drifting into the crisis of crazies, across our entire system things don't work. what you just saw, let's focus narrowly on the pentagon and the intelligence community. the secretary of defense and chairman of the joint chiefs, two people focused on creating a

woke military. we just learned the greatest 21st-century woke military can't defeat a 7 century group of warriors who are willing to die for their cause. that is so -- should make us think about china, russia and iran and other countries who are watching this process. president biden is even deliberately ignorant or has such deep cognitive difficulties he just doesn't get it but we have reports for example 23 members of the embassy wrote a letter to send which in state department terms is a very big deal. you are putting your career on the line to sign a letter like this, they sent it to the secretary of state. we don't know if the secretary of state took it to biden or not. we don't know if biden understood or not but that letter by people who are in

i can imagine thinking why is blinken telling me this weird stuff, i artie made my mind up, don't need to learn anything, same thing happening with millie and dustin. how could they possibly as professionals allow bagram to be lost and keep the embassy. can't protect the embassy without bagram. >> strategically for the reason in addition to the present that was there that had isis and al qaeda and the taliban jihadists was empty. as you look at the ground here it is as though every decision that shouldn't have been made was made and these are people with experience. why is this happen, not just a bunch of mistakes. when we think about who is in charge we hear people should design, about impeachment, a host of other things, what do you think should happen? what should the american people look for and what should we demand? >> we should remember ronald

reagan's observation that it wasn't what liberals didn't know that scared him. it was what they knew that wasn't true so what you have is groupthink, you have austin, the secretary of defense, millie, the general of the joint chiefs, the president of the united states, the secretary of state and none of the four of them have a clue about the real world. of that doesn't scare you, the chinese communists talking about taiwan, the better realize president biden can't protect them or listen to the europeans, the president today either lied to the country or so totally uninformed it is scary but nato allies are enraged for him to say no one is angry at us you wonder what is he processing that allows him to think he could be that directly dishonest. >> thank you for your insight. south korea saying we want you to get out of our country, this

you know is former army special forces operator and foreign affairs committee member and creating a bit of a stir on twitter earlier today. congressman greene, this is embarrassing we clearly see the joint chiefs of staff, secretary of defense, state department seem to not be communicating, being contradicted by his own people in real time, within an hour. tell me your thoughts on this in your experience with afghanistan. >> thanks for having me on. president biden has created the greatest hostage crisis in american history. is a clear and present danger to the safety of americans, we have 10,000 americans stranded on the other side of the wire in kabul and for days they imply they wouldn't even go after them. you had to have the british and french go after their people to motivate our president to do something.

i blame the president for that. the press conferences i heard with mark millie he said this the other day, that is a policy decision and we are ready to execute. that tells me he wants to do it, he wants to act but needs approval from the commander-in-chief and this commander-in-chief is lost touch with reality. you pointed out many contradictions directly from president biden himself. granted state department have utterly failed. i've done tons of friends in the military telling me they've been executing the missions the commander has given them but the state department has been asleep at the wheel. >> one of the biggest statements would be for him to resign. because you are not being want to and it is that dangerous. nancy pelosi said something on a phone call you are on, you were

involved in a phone call that shocked what nancy pelosi said. >> thank you for your coverage of this. it is ludicrous where we find ourselves. we were on a call with austin and secretary blinken and general lily, the first question when opened up to matters of congress went to speaker pelosi. she praised the leadership at the white house, praise the three gentlemen we were on the phone with but the thing that struck me the hardest was her comment toward the end of every things like it is okay and going good. everyone just needs to get to the airport. it took 10 minutes -- this is not like you can take boob are to the kabul airport, a casual stroll down the street and make it through checkpoints.

it is insane the speaker of the house made a comment so out of touch, so tone deaf, so ridiculous out of touch with what is happening on the ground. in my office we have 150 us citizens and visa holders we are trying to get out of country. they are sending us videos where they have been beaten where they are hiding from the taliban. they can't talk on the phone because they are emailing. this is the speaker of the house, when you talk about failure of leadership, boots on the ground, they -- of the suit in washington -- crisis of confidence. >> this is disturbing americans and the world and making this dangerous and disturbing after what you discussed about the taliban and what is happening in

afghanistan, the biden administration refuses to call the taliban our enemy. listen to this. >> does the us military consider the taliban an enemy? >> our focus right now, the thing we are working against is time and space. >> this is like a country being run by a bunch of ted bundys and charles mansons, serial killers -- they sexually abuse children, they are savages, sexually enslave the men and women, people you know have been murdered by these individuals. what does it mean we won't calling the enemy of this country? >> it is typical of democrats, wanted detente with the soviet union, bill clinton pulled out of somalia and that brought about al qaeda, obama pulling out of iraq to create isis, this

afghans themselves but polling numbers show that is not working in addition to the numbers you mentioned there's been a couple major polls showing president biden is handling when asked if people approve of handling of afghanistan in the low 30s, 31%, 50 to 55% disapprove so clearly the public is watching what they are seeing on the television screens and what president biden is telling them in these press conferences and not by what he is selling at this point, they believe he botched the withdrawal and is responsible. >> the second press conference when he went immediately to covid as though they were desperate for a pandemic to save because that's what they want to talk about because that is what helps them but i guess you could have done that 30 years but when there were 3 networks and no internet and people didn't have

additional information, seem strange 13 thinks all of what has happened has been okay and they believe the american people will get bored and lose interest. is that a reasonable thought to have when it comes to what is transpiring here? >> it is a very cynical way to assume no matter how bad it is currently the unit year or two when the politics matter the public will have forgotten what went on with afghanistan. the problem is in addition to the logistical nightmare is president biden has a credibility issue, to lamination things are being contradicted by reports on the ground, by his own staff, we have leaks coming out of various parts of the government suggesting he was warned about this ahead of time, he promised he would always tell us the truth that level with us good bad or otherwise and he is
