never miss an episode. and like to say let not your heart be troubled, but mine is the let's pray for our fellow americans and their safe return for this country as they remain tonight behind enemy lines. keep them in your prayers in i know i will be keep >> this is a special edition of the ingraham angle. the worst in media a big show tonight. newt gingrich joins us in a moment. first, this week we go down as one of the most shocking displays of government ineptitude a nation of history, a disgrace the biden administration's incompetence and ineptitude of thousands of
12:01 am
americans stranded in afghanistan at the mercy of the murderers taliban. beyond infuriating biden and jen psaki began the week on vacation as the taliban took over the country. we didn't hear from president biden until monday and he did not take questions, biden's abc interview raised questions about the team's decision-making skills. it wasn't until late this morning that the president's team realized he shouldn't head to his delaware beach house today. he will reportedly go tomorrow instead. after hearing his news conference today, we can conclude the biden white house and cabinet are members of the gang that can't shoot or talk straight. they are basketcase teeming with contradictions and incompetence. after a week of mixed messages biden epstein still isn't even on the same page. >> what interest do we have in afghanistan at this point with al qaeda gone? >> we know that al qaeda is a
12:02 am
presence in afghanistan. >> it is now clear biden is being kept in the dark by his team, completely lost touch with reality. >> criticize not to withdraw the conduct of that withdrawal and made them question their credibility. >> i've seen nothing like that. i've not seen that, the opposite. we are acting with dispatch committing to what we said we would do. >> someone should tell our allies as the wall street journal a billboard knows the chaotic afghan withdrawal shocked and angered us allies and yesterday the uk parliament
12:03 am
held biden in contempt for his disastrous withdrawal, so much for rebuilding nato. another 3 years of biden and we will be lucky if we have a single ally left, joining me now is newt gingrich, former house speaker, fox news contributor, you've been in government a long time, you know the world, you've experienced things many of us have. it is a remarkable, so many layers to this. it is shocking, disturbing, dangerous, frightening, what are your thoughts about the past week? >> you need to see afghanistan as a warning sign not just focus on afghanistan but drifting into the crisis of crazies, across our entire system things don't work. what you just saw, let's focus narrowly on the pentagon and the intelligence community. the secretary of defense and chairman of the joint chiefs, two people focused on creating a
12:04 am
woke military. we just learned the greatest 21st-century woke military can't defeat a 7 century group of warriors who are willing to die for their cause. that is so -- should make us think about china, russia and iran and other countries who are watching this process. president biden is even deliberately ignorant or has such deep cognitive difficulties he just doesn't get it but we have reports for example 23 members of the embassy wrote a letter to send which in state department terms is a very big deal. you are putting your career on the line to sign a letter like this, they sent it to the secretary of state. we don't know if the secretary of state took it to biden or not. we don't know if biden understood or not but that letter by people who are in
12:05 am
couple said this is going to be a disaster. the president's press conference, i don't know -- it is not fair to challenge somebody who may be as a cognitive problem with flying if he just doesn't understand what is going on around him. >> another comment he made about the cables going around trying to alert them to what is happening in kabul. >> can you say why after the cable is issued the us didn't do more -- >> all kinds of cables, all kinds of advice that ranged from this group saying -- they didn't say it would fall when it did fall, but saying it would fall to others saying it wouldn't happen for a long time and they would sustain themselves through
12:06 am
the end of the year. >> it appears as though he might be aware of it but someone told him it doesn't matter because they always get a lot of cables, it is as though we don't know who the center of gravity is or there isn't one, it is groupthink and gangs and no one is talking to anybody else. >> i don't think you have an administration. it was secretary blinken ask job to make sure the president understood how big a deal 23 professionals risking their career to sign a letter like that and it is a big deal. very seldom -- either blinken didn't do his job or president biden doesn't get it.
12:07 am
i can imagine thinking why is blinken telling me this weird stuff, i artie made my mind up, don't need to learn anything, same thing happening with millie and dustin. how could they possibly as professionals allow bagram to be lost and keep the embassy. can't protect the embassy without bagram. >> strategically for the reason in addition to the present that was there that had isis and al qaeda and the taliban jihadists was empty. as you look at the ground here it is as though every decision that shouldn't have been made was made and these are people with experience. why is this happen, not just a bunch of mistakes. when we think about who is in charge we hear people should design, about impeachment, a host of other things, what do you think should happen? what should the american people look for and what should we demand? >> we should remember ronald
12:08 am
reagan's observation that it wasn't what liberals didn't know that scared him. it was what they knew that wasn't true so what you have is groupthink, you have austin, the secretary of defense, millie, the general of the joint chiefs, the president of the united states, the secretary of state and none of the four of them have a clue about the real world. of that doesn't scare you, the chinese communists talking about taiwan, the better realize president biden can't protect them or listen to the europeans, the president today either lied to the country or so totally uninformed it is scary but nato allies are enraged for him to say no one is angry at us you wonder what is he processing that allows him to think he could be that directly dishonest. >> thank you for your insight. south korea saying we want you to get out of our country, this
12:09 am
is a disaster of monument proportions. appreciate your insight. president biden has put thousands of americans at the mercy of television savages. we've seen the shocking footage of the taliban and terrorizing crowds outside the kabul airport, cnn said they had trouble getting in. the only person who seems completely unaware of this is president biden himself. >> to the best of our knowledge the taliban checkpoints they are letting through people showing american passports. >> there have been sporadic reports of some americans not being able to get the checkpoints. i fully admit that. i don't think anyone is denying the reports that are out there. >> gun is contradicted by different secretary board us and telling -- some people including americans been harassed and beaten by the seller than on their way to the airport.
12:10 am
you know is former army special forces operator and foreign affairs committee member and creating a bit of a stir on twitter earlier today. congressman greene, this is embarrassing we clearly see the joint chiefs of staff, secretary of defense, state department seem to not be communicating, being contradicted by his own people in real time, within an hour. tell me your thoughts on this in your experience with afghanistan. >> thanks for having me on. president biden has created the greatest hostage crisis in american history. is a clear and present danger to the safety of americans, we have 10,000 americans stranded on the other side of the wire in kabul and for days they imply they wouldn't even go after them. you had to have the british and french go after their people to motivate our president to do something.
12:11 am
i blame the president for that. the press conferences i heard with mark millie he said this the other day, that is a policy decision and we are ready to execute. that tells me he wants to do it, he wants to act but needs approval from the commander-in-chief and this commander-in-chief is lost touch with reality. you pointed out many contradictions directly from president biden himself. granted state department have utterly failed. i've done tons of friends in the military telling me they've been executing the missions the commander has given them but the state department has been asleep at the wheel. >> one of the biggest statements would be for him to resign. because you are not being want to and it is that dangerous. nancy pelosi said something on a phone call you are on, you were
12:12 am
involved in a phone call that shocked what nancy pelosi said. >> thank you for your coverage of this. it is ludicrous where we find ourselves. we were on a call with austin and secretary blinken and general lily, the first question when opened up to matters of congress went to speaker pelosi. she praised the leadership at the white house, praise the three gentlemen we were on the phone with but the thing that struck me the hardest was her comment toward the end of every things like it is okay and going good. everyone just needs to get to the airport. it took 10 minutes -- this is not like you can take boob are to the kabul airport, a casual stroll down the street and make it through checkpoints.
12:13 am
it is insane the speaker of the house made a comment so out of touch, so tone deaf, so ridiculous out of touch with what is happening on the ground. in my office we have 150 us citizens and visa holders we are trying to get out of country. they are sending us videos where they have been beaten where they are hiding from the taliban. they can't talk on the phone because they are emailing. this is the speaker of the house, when you talk about failure of leadership, boots on the ground, they -- of the suit in washington -- crisis of confidence. >> this is disturbing americans and the world and making this dangerous and disturbing after what you discussed about the taliban and what is happening in
12:14 am
afghanistan, the biden administration refuses to call the taliban our enemy. listen to this. >> does the us military consider the taliban an enemy? >> our focus right now, the thing we are working against is time and space. >> this is like a country being run by a bunch of ted bundys and charles mansons, serial killers -- they sexually abuse children, they are savages, sexually enslave the men and women, people you know have been murdered by these individuals. what does it mean we won't calling the enemy of this country? >> it is typical of democrats, wanted detente with the soviet union, bill clinton pulled out of somalia and that brought about al qaeda, obama pulling out of iraq to create isis, this
12:15 am
is who they are, the taliban and killed hundreds of americans and can't call them an enemy, this is a sadistic ideology, they are the enemy and they should be crushed. what we are doing now is absolutely absurd. we are capitulating and running away. >> it seems to me they almost wanted something to celebrate on september 11th. none of this makes sense. it sounds insane. we have 15 seconds. what do you think of what this means? >> this drawdown withdrawal has been motivated by politics pure and simple.
12:16 am
9/11 was a political date to meet. now has been moved up, no question this is exactly why politics did not drive policy. that's why we have a crisis in the confidence military leadership including the commander-in-chief. i agree with mark green. these people are the enemy, there's no legitimacy in our government, this is something we cannot stand for. they enslave little girls, traffic in humans, this cannot stand. for women and girls who have grown up the last 20 years are in for a heroic -- horrific future. we need to be serious about getting people out and dealing with how to respond not only to the inventory of arms and munitions but the human rights violations that are going to occur under this taliban rule. >> those who say this is none of our business, this is their business this is a cancer.
12:17 am
it will move with iran and russia working with china. this is the kind of thing that does not stay put. carrying about this country, we can walk and chew gum at the same time. none of this had to happen. getting out of afghanistan as americans are united in that, this was a complete catastrophe. thank you for joining us. president biden says the buck stops with him on afghanistan, just sort of. >> when i came into office lighthearted a deal donald trump negotiated with the taliban and. afghanistan political leaders gave up and fled the country. the afghan military collapsed, some time without trying to fight. there are concerns why we did not begin evacuating afghan civilians sooner.
12:18 am
parties of the answer is some of the afghans did not want to leave earlier. >> here's who the american people are blaming. according to a new survey 43% of americans say biden there's a great deal of responsibility because we are not hiding in the basement, that is double the number who blame trump for the current crisis. you to break it down is the co-founder and president of real clear politics, it is important at all times but especially during crazies. biden has been trying to pass blame on to trump for this debacle but it would seem with numbers like that americans are not buying it, we are pretty flexible when it comes to things and yet it seems obvious on its face who is responsible for this disaster. >> the administration tried to deflect blame to trump, the
12:19 am
afghans themselves but polling numbers show that is not working in addition to the numbers you mentioned there's been a couple major polls showing president biden is handling when asked if people approve of handling of afghanistan in the low 30s, 31%, 50 to 55% disapprove so clearly the public is watching what they are seeing on the television screens and what president biden is telling them in these press conferences and not by what he is selling at this point, they believe he botched the withdrawal and is responsible. >> the second press conference when he went immediately to covid as though they were desperate for a pandemic to save because that's what they want to talk about because that is what helps them but i guess you could have done that 30 years but when there were 3 networks and no internet and people didn't have
12:20 am
additional information, seem strange 13 thinks all of what has happened has been okay and they believe the american people will get bored and lose interest. is that a reasonable thought to have when it comes to what is transpiring here? >> it is a very cynical way to assume no matter how bad it is currently the unit year or two when the politics matter the public will have forgotten what went on with afghanistan. the problem is in addition to the logistical nightmare is president biden has a credibility issue, to lamination things are being contradicted by reports on the ground, by his own staff, we have leaks coming out of various parts of the government suggesting he was warned about this ahead of time, he promised he would always tell us the truth that level with us good bad or otherwise and he is
12:21 am
telling us the chaos was priced in but never mentioned it ahead of time, never prepared the american people for this, that was always inevitable, they've done a great job and couldn't have done anything that her and i don't think that is passing muster. >> the world is watching and our allies and enemies are watching and what they see is what we are discussing, a president who either lost his grip or an american administration that is -- thank you for your assessment. donald trump is banned from twitter but the taliban aren't. -wise that acquired silence from the left?
12:26 am
>> kamala harris presidential bid kicked off to thunderous media applause. but then quickly petered out with out much of a whimper. >> kamala harris's presidential bid kicked off to thunderous media applause but petered out with out as much as a whimper but before that she demanded a big tech answer of the former president. >> we have donald trump who has 65 million twitter followers and is using that platform as the president of the united states
12:27 am
to openly intimidate witnesses, to threaten witnesses, he and his account should be taken down, twitter should be held accountable and shutdown that site. it is a matter of safety and corporate accountability. >> all about safety. if it is about safety and acting responsibly why hasn't harassed amanda twitter been the spokesman for the taliban. here is charlie heard, opinion editor of the washington times, fox news contributor. twitter keep talking about the taliban, they don't break tech rules and whether twitter is saying they don't know verify that organization it seems like everyone has missed their medication at this point. we know what the taliban has done. how can you explain this double standard that keeps slapping all of us in the face every day. >> if it wasn't for double standards twitter wouldn't have
12:28 am
standards at all. it is unbelievable that the sitting president of the united states is considered a danger in some way because we don't like mean tweets meanwhile an evil vicious ideology that targets little children, 6 years old and younger for marriage, the beings people and believes that if you are born female that somehow that means you're supposed to be subjugated for life but apparently that's not dangerous, that's not risky and doesn't appear to violate the standards. >> it really seems that not only have we been suckers, they must
12:29 am
know what the standard is and what this dynamic is which is not just political but up seen and dangerous and effectively assisting the worst among us while shutting down political voices that would expose the worst among us. do i go too far? >> not at all. it's great we playback clip of kamala harris putting in perspective this is all about raw hard politics, that's why they want after donald trump, they went after donald trump to silence a political opponent and succeeded and meanwhile they are doing everything they can to promote of violent terrorist organization and doing everything they can to convince people there's a new and improved kinder gentler taliban out there and nobody on the ground is buying it. if you look at the images in
12:30 am
afghanistan nobody is believing -- they are running like they should be running and not be leaving this farce the twitter and facebook is trying to promote. >> when we look at what we are being asked to believe and accept it is like a mental illness, not just about political differences, we are being asked to believe the moon is made of green cheese, the sky is green, were not on planet earth, we are in outer space, it is like we have allowed those in the administration are arguing in a way that seems as though it moves closer to mental illness and asks us to pretend along with them. >> we are seeing people that are conjoining behavior, one is i don't like getting a tweet at 3 am in the morning, the other is a kinder, gentler is we are
12:31 am
using the sharp blade to be had, one is categorically evil. if you are going to have a standard, they are supposed to be the ones the standard covers. instead they just don't want to have discussion about topics they don't like. >> this is the other strange thing, no one is confused, everyone knows what is going on. i to turn to the latest balance on the capital riots. it's a minor one of the narrative pushed for months by democrats and their media allies, listen to this. >> obviously this was a well-planned, well coordinated breach of security. >> members of groups that attacked the us vape on january 6th coordinated with one another.
12:32 am
>> coordinated -- violent attacks by white supremacists on our nation's capital. >> none of that was true, that was all a lie. reuters reports the fbi found scant evidence that the us vape attack was coordinated, 90-95% of these are 1-off cases, a former senior law-enforcement official acknowledged there was no grand scheme of these people to storm the capital and take hostages. we also watched the vape being fenced in the month, national guard, all of this narrative and the fbi which is not always going to be straight with us saying this is not a coordinated thing by anybody. is this more proof of the depth of the problem we have in this country. >> without a doubt this is how you wind up with 600 americans
12:33 am
rotting in prison, most of been charged with trespassing or disorderly conduct. i'm not defending the riotous behavior on january 6th. it was appalling and they should pay a price for it but this is absurd and the reason it is so politicized is this is the only way democrats turn attention away from the actual crime going on in people's neighborhoods as we speak, horrible crimes democrats don't want to talk about it that's why they are going to keep going back to january 6th. >> they can be the only victims, they are the only ones that matter. what happens to them is the only thing that matters, not a business burned down, lives destroyed and we have january 6th commission, if god for bid should you not have a
