anniversary it'salso fox news' 25th anniver, a bigger achievement than anyone in the industry would care to a. it includes destroying the legacy of the media. why would they celebrate the thing that killed them? i don't blame them. while we celebrate our 25th, what can cnn celebrate? another month without a jeffrey toobin zoom call? congrats. when fox news debuted, it was mocked. within months, the mockery stopped, the critics saw a fox rise to the top and beat the pants off of them, which was easy with toobin. [laughter] how did this happen? it was necessary, it had to happen. the mainstream news not only refused to serve most americans. they felt they didn't have to. they control the narrative and you had little choice but to take it. they've used your trust, lied to you, thought you were stupid, shared the same brain. the industry devolved into a corrupt insular machine out to stoke the vision to make money. fox came along. we were different.

we knew this monolithic media was derelict in its duty, so fox provided the balance that was missing. it did so fearlessly, knowing that it would paint targets on all of our backs, but it's popular to group them and why? we are people! we weren't perfect, we were human. you could relate to us. it wasn't a network, it was a relationship. you can get mad at us and turn us off, but we also knew that we had your best interests at heart, so he stuck with us through all the great stuff in the not so great stuff. fox didn't speak down to like the pompous gas bags at other networks. we spoke directly to you. we assumed you were as smart as us if not smarter. we did not see family or religion as a joke. we celebrated the american idea, relished providing a voice for the unheard. as employees at fox, we thanked fox for keeping us employed. here is my first appearance on "the o'reilly factor." i was handsome. [laughter]

there is jesse. i had great sideburns, jesse, those eyebrows... [laughter] then there is dana. look at her. you aged better than all of us. the real thanks goes to you, the viewers, who trust us and let us into your homes, and thanks to everyone who came before us to make this happen against, seemingly, it's a mountable odds to another 25. >> jesse: well said. >> greg: why thank you. any theory as to why fox news has been able to build and build and build? as the other media becomes more elite and insular? >> dana: you nailed it. the media, for so long, basically had a point of view. the mainstream media has kept the point of view. it's become slightly more tilted towards the left, even a center

left, but more progressive. all of a sudden, there was an alternative. to give people choices in a capitalistic system there's a market for the product is going to do well. interesting, there's 136 employees that work here today that started on the first day. their morning there was a squirrel you can see there. they listed all the people. i thought that was amazing. for a network that supposed to fail, and rupert murdoch, one of the interviews he did, everyone thought he was crazy when he was starting it. hopefully, he's feeling good today. >> greg: i remember wanting to work for it. i made the point of comparing it and contrasting. there is no interesting people in other networks. you are considered interesting for the wrong reasons. there is something about the fact that if you turn on fox,

you know the people there, and people see you on the street, they believe that they know you. >> greg: we are true believers here are fox news. we don't get on the air because we want to look pretty and be liked by certain people. we care about the country, and the people of the country. we gave the people of the country voice they did not have before. they treat us like family. that connection is so strong, no other broadcast professionals have the connection that we have with the audience. i can state that is a fact. we care so passionately about what we do. we were talking in the green room about a fake news article that we saw, "fake outrage,

performance art." no! we actually care about what's going on in the country. maybe, we are outraged at something we have seen, because that doesn't sit well. we know it doesn't sit with the rest of the country. we are also laughing and joking. it doesn't always have to be about outrage. we are not doing this for money or ratings. we believe what we are saying. that's a lot different than the other people you see on television. >> greg: the ratings are great, the money is good. [laughter] i mean, you do look good. [laughter] >> jesse: we have a team of people here. >> greg: judge, when did you first come to fox customer asked me to i believe it was 2008. i had been the d.a., and i ran for attorney general, and did not win in new york. that's me. [laughter] war on terror, there i was.

>> jeanine: we all look quite different. what you've said is this: we resonated with america. were it not for fox, there would be such a monolithic train of thought where all the networks said the same thing, all cables at the same thing. it would be fascism at this point. the truth is, thank goodness for fox that we are allowed to say what we want. we are who we are. we have distinctive personalities, and i agree with you. when i go around the country, "i love you, judge jeanine! "they don't know me, but they do. we are honest, we are believers, we believe what we are saying. you've got to give credit. this is a david versus goliath. this is a story where you got rupert murdoch, who has the vision, the business sense, he did not run with the pack, he did not need permission, did not need approval in 79 months of what we won.

we are number one, that's it! that is the american way. >> greg: harold, you are new to this company, but you've been around. what's the power of fox news coming from outside and coming in? >> harold: i started in 2007. lost in the race for senate, started here and was here for about a year. when the networks started, i just got elected to congress. your viewpoints are right. we live in a diverse sprawling democracy, sometimes a brawling democracy. the cornerstone of our nation is that we not only have to listen to but accept different political point of views, and a new member of congress -- i came on this network often. i came in with bill o'reilly, with sean hannity, with others around the network. i often wanted to reach constituents of mine that might've watched the other networks. i listened to fox, and now that i'm on fox, i listen to it, even when i'm not on. some members of my party don't like what happened here. i don't always agree with the things we talked about, but

sometimes i do, but you have to listen to understand when you do come and have to listen -- you think about crafting arguments, strengthening your own arguments, but even more so agreeing with someone. i think we can all benefit from that. when i think of fox, that's what i think of. i congratulate mr. murdoch and the entire organization on 25 years of enormous success. they figured out their marketplace and hopefully there's another 25 years of success as well. >> greg: i will be 60 then. trying to regain his footing, giving a big speech on mandates? >> dana: probably. when you look at those numbers, "is there any place where we could still say that we have a foothold?" it might be the virus. he ran on "i will crush the virus." then, there was that premature celebration on the fourth of july. unfortunately, there was the delta variant. a little caution is warranted, but they were feeling it. in the middle of the afghanistan debacle, they came out with a vaccine mandates for businesses with 100 employees or more. there were lots of follow-up questions that people had to, but he would not take any questions. people continued to wonder how this happened. just a year ago, a year -- 13 months ago and i both president biden and kamala harris and candidates said "if the vaccine is approved under president trump, i would not trust it. i would not take it spirit" of course, they were being ridiculous them. they were lying. they did trust the vaccine. they just want to hurt president trump.

then, to get into office and say "now, we really need people to take a vaccine. please wipe away your memory of anything we said before." the other thing that's interesting, remember the daily death tracker? >> greg: this was my talking point! before i didn't see it, but i had the same thing. [laughter] the media had the daily death tracking number, and all of a sudden, that went away. that still has not helped president biden. >> jesse: we are at over 700,000 american dead from covid-19, but good news, that'll do virus, or the summer surge, is starting to go down. >> jesse: think the argument being given about vaccine mandates is similar to the draft. "i wonder how many of these pro-vaccination people would be pro-draft." that's taking control of your body, and so are vaccination mandates. it's not a perfect analogy, but

i think trump is going to have an easy way to compare his run from 2016 to 2022 biden, when you can to compare these numbers come covert deaths, weaponizing of the fbi. at this point, i don't see biden running in 2024. i see him being trump's campaign manager. [laughter] he's providing him with so much stuff. do your point, the media refuses to apply the same standards to biden that they did to trump. for that reason, what they do is if you come to them with this information, they just turn it on to onto january 6th. "we got to talk about january 6th." also, the vaccination hesitance for reasons he may not be aware of is a weird tool for a unifier. >> jesse: he said there were not be a fact a few months ago,, name para. >> jeanine: not up mandate for a mask or for a vaccine, and

they are the ones who discredited the vaccines right from the get-go. it was a political decision on their part. they discredited it over and over again! they run around without their mask and are leaving now, saying "the only reason i'm wearing a mask now is because i've got a republican dragging me over here." gavin newsom and everyone else just totally going against the message that biden is trying to give. it's not even biden's message. he's lost all credibility. america does not believe in them anymore. his numbers are so in the tank right now. how could you possibly follow him him say "he is right"? i believe in vaccinations. i am vaccinated. some people have reasons for not being vaccinated. >> jesse: as judge says, he is not trusted. people believe he is incompetent. if he does oversee the

elimination of this virus, is he going to get credit for it, considering the vaccines were trump's? >> harold: operation -- it works. we have to give credit to president biden for making distribution wider and having it be more successful. the freedom argument about this -- you and i are vaccinated. i've asked this question privately, but i wonder, the people who are defending those who are exercising their freedom for not getting the vaccine, were those people also defending colin kaepernick when he knelt, when the stars below banner was being sung? i thought it was the wrong thing, but if we are going to be consistent about freedom, we should think about these arguments. 97% of people at united airlines are vaccinated. you know why? scott kirby, the ceo, was one of the first if not the first ceo to say "you have to be vaccinated to come to work." 97% are vaccinated. if you really believe that this disease or virus or whatever

came from china and was man-made, you know how you can get the chinese backed? questionwhich they alive. if vaccinated. let's take the politics out of it, minus the politics out of it. democrats are wrong, perhaps, in a big way, and i think vice president harris said it wrong, which is "i would not take the vaccine." you can assign the worst motive and say that she meant it because it was donald trump. she was wrong. that does not mean that any american who believes in the country, once the economy reopen, who wants schools reopen, wants to get back at china: let's get vaccinated. >> jesse: i can say there are a few other ways to get back at china, but we don't have time for all of that. ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ [macarena playing] >> jeanine: president biden has big problems. the majority of americans think his administration is incompetent, and things are about to get worse. inflation is surgeon like wildfire across the country. massive rise in prices is costing american households an extra $175 a month. gas prices are the highest in 7 years. the white house forced to spin the bad news on rising prices at the pump. >> secretary psaki: some takes up in parts of the country, that's something we have been working to focus on. the climate crisis cannot wait any longer. >> jeanine: i will start with you, harold.

gas prices are higher than they been in seven years. the cost of inflation will get worse in 2022. why do the democrats want to spend more money? won't that create a bigger problem? >> harold: i have a different view on this. i think the economy prior to covid was facing strains. i think the economy has been organized in the last 30 years around efficiency. you have investors who want to make sure you don't make more than what you needed -- including energy. then you have covid, everything explodes. the fed spends money. i think we have an organ of government, the fed, they can try to address some of this. i think we should be figuring out ways to spend more money on the right things, including improving supply chains. i think supply chains across the world, those are causing prices to go up across the board. there is an argument to be made that we may be spending more than we should on certain things, but if we want, 5-10

years from now to face these kinds of energy pressures, semiconductor chip pressures we have to figure out how to invest in ways to make america less reliant on those overseas who we depend on. speech of jesse, target and home depot are chartering their own ships so they can deliver billions of dollars of products to get here in time for christmas. is it just a supply chain? what else is going on? >> jesse: if we had not all shored every factory in this country to asia, we would not have a huge supply chain issue. there is a trucker shortage. even if you get the ship containers onshore, there's no one there to drive them to any of these stores. that is not all biden's fault. part of it also, if you are going to spend, if these two bills go through, about $12 trillion in one fiscal year, that's going to make the u.s. dollar into whatever the zimbabwe currency is. we don't want that.

>> harold: what is the zimbabwe currency? >> jesse: i don't know, but probably 1 trillionth of a dollar. this is not all his fault, but biden is making it worse. the biggest mistake he made was in the spring to dismiss inflation. he said "this is transitory. it's going to go away." he is supposed to be a amtrak joke, mr. scranton. he is supposed to have his ear to the streets with the middle class. to dismiss it like that and then make a mockery of the hotdog prices on july 4th makes him look out of touch, while the average middle class family is only making $67,000 a year, now paying an extra $175 in cost of living inflation. >> jeanine: dana, the energy secretary is talking about tapping the reserve of the oil. >> dana: every administration tries it. it doesn't work. it's there for emergencies. what the press secretary said today -- "we want to keep gas

prices low, but the spread of climate change cannot wait any longer. there will be tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of dollars in ads that use that exact quote in the next year to deal with going into the midterms. the other thing, the indelible images of afghanistan and what happens in that debacle as we left americans behind and people who helped us behind, and the chaos, the way it was handled. all of those images have had a lasting impression. it's seeping into all the other numbers. if you peek under the hood of these numbers on the military, terrible. as commander-in-chief, his competency, and now you have the other hole in gallup saying republicans would be better on national security. it's only october. >> jeanine: national security, greg, as well as the economy. >> greg: 100 trillion zimbabwe dollars, that's only $0.40. no way. >> greg: the central bank introducing $50 notes as the main currency in 2019, and then you had hyperinflation up to 800%. there you go. >> jesse: he is killing the dollar. at >> greg: he is destroying zimbabwe's what he's doing. [laughter] to your point, it goes back to the selfish reasons so many people voted for biden. they didn't care that a president trump improved in these concrete variables, low inflation, foreign policy, and the vaccines. because late-night trumpet gave you early-morning anxiety through tweets, he had to go. what we are burying, the consequences of an emotional decision made by a lot of people. if you look at the variables of covid, the economy, foreign policy, the border, trump blows by the way, which is why when

year, two years ago in new york was to help nonviolent offenders who were first-time offenders if they did not have the money to make bail to have an opportunity to not serve more in jail than they would if they got convicted of a crime. this is absurd but we are dealing with. is there a distinction that should be made between the nonviolent first-time offenders and violent offenders? >> jesse: why didn't they write it like that, harold? your party wrote it like a bunch of idiots. now, you can commit violent crimes, be a repeat offender, and get bailed out with designs so that very poor people, if they committed a nonviolent offense, weren't saddled with debt, and could come out of jail and fight the charge. it's not like that. now, it's just a revolving door for criminals. it might have been well-intentioned, but it backfired, the same way people are coming around the democrats to fund the police was stupid, they are coming around the bail reform as stupid. this is what we need to do in this country. we need to look at policy results instead of policy

intentions. if you are intentional and you want to make everyone be perfect, okay. give it all year. if it blows up and causes crime, switch it back. why do we have to dig and ideologically on dumb laws that create more crime and just so we can pat ourselves on the back? switch the bill. fix it! you are already getting people hurt. >> harold: this is one of the examples. i don't agree that all democrats are idiots, but i agree that we should switch the policy. judge, you know this. nonviolent or violent -- we got two votes, and the distinction between nonviolent environment criminals for first-time offender customer >> jeanine: it's not just violent and nonviolent. there are some nonviolent crimes that are, in essence, violent. if i had an economic crime that involves a 90-year-old woman who ends up losing her home, to her, that's as violent as you can get when you get someone involved in identity theft or some kind of

fraud. that could be as violent as any other crime. let me tell you something: they did not write it like a bunch of idiots. they wrote it like they it. they want chaos, anarchy. it will never be changed in new york. we do not have a legislature that will agree to impose bail, a constitutional consideration, the eighth amendment. it's not like it was never considered part of the structure. you know what's crazy about this woman who slammed the other woman into a passing train? who got her jaw broken and her nose broken? she was arrested seven times before. not one time did they do an evaluation as to whether or not she was a threat to herself or others. a lot of these people are mental, and we are bringing them out and making assault victims. i could go for an hour, but i'm not going to. it's disgusting. >> harold: you have talked about the mental health issues on our streets. how did that play into this? >> greg: this is in the hands

of the wife of bill de blasio, runs and $800 million initiative to help the mentally ill. what we are seeing instead is no results, there's no accountability, because she is married to the mayor. no one's doing an investigation. this is another thing we were talking about, how feminists basically abandoned sinema. this is a war on women. many of these women are the victims. this woman who was mentally ill, almost all of her victims were women. you hear about the elderly asian women being beaten up on the streets. this violent crime has somehow -- think about the activists, the female activists you saw on tv during the blm stuff. they are always anti-cop this, cop that. was going to protect the women on the street, not those female activists, so they throw their gender under the bus to preserve their muted ideology, right? it's too important for them, the

idea of being anti-police or gun is so important. if a focus also woman and another woman, the well protected female activist will always side with the fog. a true misogynist from head to toe. >> harold: criminal justice reform has been -- how do you reconcile that? i grew just abut everything. >> dana: i would imagine people -- for example, with a bipartisan criminal justice reform under president trump, i would imagine all of those people could all agree that this is bad, that liberal prosecutors are bad, bail reform, that's not the way to go. what is going to happen is all the other things they want to deal with criminal justice reform, just like with immigration reform, all of it gets harder as these things get pushed and not dealt with. >> greg: if you are a liberal activist, female, you do not care about the mystic violence. they release a guy in virginia who beat his wife/girlfriend,

[laughter] i called my friends and one "i don't know what i'm doing here. what am i doing?" they did the mark shows inside a little room, a green room. we were allowed to smoke in there.
