thanks for being here. what red flags went up when you heard about this equity policy? >> so many parents, district promoted messages such as the need to dismantle the colorblind framework in education, telling kids and community to judge them by it. it is antithetical to principles of the civil rights movement and will not help any child succeed. this equity policy created the myth of meritocracy or other things that will not prepare any child for success. for people to define themselves by surface level distances, that equal outcomes will be equal opportunity.

we saw the policy get, the consultant group to train our staff and features that look at the world through the lens of power struggles. equity is about outcomes and cultures like the white male christian street call to the pond so many the systems need to be transformed with her parents agree or not. todd: the streets as this pursuit of equitable educational opportunity will guide the board of education and school district staff, selecting educational material, equipment, and regulations. should the focus instead solely beyond preparing your children for their future, whether it is there next grade double, the world of work and using math and english to do that. >> that is what we are looking for and that can be done under
