doctor, let me start with you. he's been there a long time and makes a lot of money and wrong a lot. is that not a perfect example of washington, d.c.? >> well, pete, let's be honest. at this point i think we have not gotten anything right with covid-19 coming out of the white house and dr. fauci and the cdc. they flip flop every day. what i can tell you some of the verbiage coming out of dr. fauci recently talking about vaccine mandates for domestic air travel. shortening the isolation. i am a big fan of shortening the isolation and the post-exposure quarantine. that was far overdue. it had to be done. we have a man made worker shortage of the vaccine mandates and these long isolation protocols. m

the data has been there for 6 months. they had to catch up. the vaccine mandates for domestic travel will work as well as the vaccine mandate for the cruise ships. every person had to be vaccinated but they had major outbreaks. the vaccine mandates when you have transmission among the vaccinated and the boosted. it won't help. you know my kids recovered from covid-19 within the last month. we can't go out to a new york city restaurant unless they are fully vaccinated. iou would bet their recent diagnose of covid-19 and that natural immunity is more protective of their transmission to other people than the fully vaccinated people walking

answer and won't tell us. think how crazy the policy is with these guys. an illegal immigrants can come into the i country untested and unvaccinated but an american citizen can't buy a big mac or get on a plane. this is crazy. the american people have it had like they did in virginia and in kenosha, wisconsin, c with the 2 jurors. they will do it in november. you can feel it coming. >> pete: any chance they say therapeutics are effective or natural immunity is worth adding to herd immunity or can they only double down? >> you see they are starting to accept natural immunity. the cdc is mentioning there may be some protection but quote the

sub-par studies they have done themselves. other institutions show the protection of natural immunity especially with a vaccination. you are a wall of immunity. if you want to decrease the spread of this virus rather than having vaccine mandates to get on airplanes, showing proof of recent infection or a rapid tests that will lessen the spread. it's not the vaccine card showing you had vaccinations earlier in the year. you are still able to not only get the infected but transmit. the goal of vaccines is to keep people out of the hospital and you target the high risk populations.

make sure they have access to high qualitye masks and treatments. one blunders of the cdc is they over-estimated how much omicron was. there they pulled back on the supply of monoclonal antibodies. they were not sending it out to hospitals because they said it won't work against omicron. delta is more prevalent and we don't have access to monoclonal antibodies forlo those patients. they need to get their act together. they are costing lives. >> pete: colonel, the marine corp kicking people out for not getting vaccines. what does that tell you about

you denied all wrongdoing on this program. you are counter suing. professor, as someone caught up in this. when you look at this verdict, what is your main take away? >> well, that the government was smart enough not to use virginia as a witness. she accused me and prince andrew and senator mitchell and ambassador richardson and anybody she could find in jeffrey epstein's rolodex. the government did not believe her. today was a good day for those people accused by her. as far as ghislaine maxwell is concerned, the government put on witnesses.

they were believed. the jury came to its conclusion. there will be an appeal. from are. some issues. there is a statute of limitation. some of these things occurred recommend 30 years ago. back in 1994. right now she faces a significant prison sentence. >> greg: greg abbott, what happens next here? >> i was not surprised by the verdict and neither was ghislaine maxwell. she was stoic because she knew what was coming. sat there during the course of the trial and saw the prosecution's evidence was overwhelming and powerful.

the 4 witnesses were competent and told this harrowing story of being recruited and groomed and sexually abused by epstein and maxwell herself. i must say, it took an enormous amount of courage to be subject to cross-examination. but, there is a message to other victims of sexual abuse, you can receive justice in a court of law but it takes a lot of s backbone. maxwell it would have been foolhardy for her to take the witness stand. she might have exposed herself to another trial for perjury. it would have ruined any chance she might have to strike a deal now with the government to help

them bring cases against others in exchange for leniency. it's possible we don't know what more evidence the prosecutors have. they have videotapes and file folders. we don't know what other evidence they have. ghislaine maxwell could prove to be key. >> pete: [overlapping talking]. go ahead. >> i hope they have tapes of everybody involved. who else will be prosecuted. the same woman virginia, one woman said she was train years old and brought to epstein for money by virginia who was over the age of content. -- consent. virginia had sex is jeffrey epstein. in order to facilitate her

having sex with epstein. who else will be prosecuted? will maxwell make a deal? will she try to get her sentence reduced? from is not over. there are victims and perpetrators. some of the people could be both. we have to look at this case by case. person by person. we should not generalize. >> pete: professor, with having more direct knowledge representing epstein before. do you have a sense that maxwell could talk to the media? does she have an incentive to do that facing this kind of sentence? >> well, what alternative does she have?at if the appeal doesn't work and they are uphill in these kinds of cases, she will probably want to tell her full story at some point. she may try to cooperate with

government prosecutors. that happens. there is nothing that opens people's mouths more than facing a long criminal sentence. nobody knows. nobody can tell. i only met ghislaine maxwell a handful of times with my wife and daughter. when we met her she was jeffrey epstein's girlfriend. we had no idea that any of these things weres going on. i feel bad for everybody involved in this thing. i hope it will discourage others from doing actions of this kind. young women have to be protected and the court and government has to go after people who are perpetrators. they have to distinguish the true from the false. that's why they didn't call virginia as a witness.

that helped them. if they had called her i think this case would likely have gone a different way. the jury would have doubted the credibility of the government's case. >> pete: go ahead. >> i will weigh on virginia. but there were dozens and dozens of victims of jeffrey epstein and ghislaine maxwell. i think prosecutors made a smart decision to stream line the case. to pick four of their best witnesses. they took the stand and they won the day for justice and for the victims out there as well. she is looking at years and years behind bars. she is 60 years old and may never get out of prison. >> pete: greg and alan dershowitz thanks for joining us.

i am not a professional educator.. i don't have a degree in social studies. we send our study to school to be taught by people who have expertise in the subject area. that's not my job. when the candidate didn't think parents should be deciding what is taught in schools, he was panned for that. that's a fact. >> pete: politico pushing its own far left education agenda accusing iow republicans of engg in education wars with school board races. lara trump and ian pryor, thanks for being here and how much you care about the education of the next generation which is critical to preserving our republic. what nicole said i am not

a professional educator so i should not be in charge of what goes into the classrooms. but theha "new york times" and nicole are working with teacher's unions to make sure 16-19 curriculum gets in class rooms. help me square that circle. >> i wish i could. her whole statement none of it made a lot of sense. no one is trying to down play the importance of teachers. outside of parents, teachers are the most influential people in the lives of our children. outside of my mom and dad it was my teachers and coaches who had the most impact on my life growing up. they are very important. that is why we want to know as parents what is it that they are teaching our kids? is it multi-linear statistics or physics which i can't teach my child or using hateful rhetoric

like critical race theory. that's what parents in virginia pushed back against in the election. the governor's race in virginiai we need to know as parents, it's our job to know what our children are being taught is something with which we agree. it's up to us to instill values in our children. we have a responsibility to know they are being taught things that it we agree with at the end of the day. >> pete: absolutely. ian pryor, it doesn't make sense what nicole says. she said what many on the left are revealing to parents.

stay out of the classroom. we control the school boards and the unions and certifications. they don't want us involved because the left controls it all. >> that'snd right. lara trump was right. you look at the equation for repairing a child for it the real word. you need parents and teachers. parents handle morales and math andhandles science and reading and writing. the problems develop when you get people like nicole injecting themselves into the conversation. that is the problem here. parents want to work with teachers. nobody is opposed to teach accurate history. we are opposed to teaching theories and looking at everything through a lens of race and discussing gender issues with 5 and 6 years old.

that has no place in the classroom and parents need to be aware of that. >> pete: the second part of what we mentioned. this politico article about the fight for school boards. politico decrying the fact in some states they are considering the idea of a political affiliation for school board candidates.me i don't know who the people are or what they believe because their candidate statements are vague. of its really hard to say that i'm against crt or for crt. what about if they say, i am a republican or conservative so that at least we can have some indication? >> i think it's important to know the values of these people that are serving on school boards. p they control what our children learn and who the teachers are. whether or not our kids will

learn in the classroom or at home and whether or not they will wear masks. many of these focus have a left leaning idealogy. oftentimes it would be nice to whom you are voting and what their values are and whether or not that's something you as a parent agree with. i don't see any problem with. politico made a big fuss about it. parents would like to know where people stand before they vote for them in a very important position.bo >> pete: absolutely. how else are you going to know where they stand? >> yes, pete, you're absolutely right. you said teaching our children is one of the most important things preserving our constitutional republic. these elections are important. you get a flier from a candidate saying we want more recess. in reality we don't know what they stand for.
