the deaths on the border doubled from last year. who's really paying the price of this disaster on the border? >> well, the american people. you know? working class, lower class, i mean, we're all just getting hit in the mouth. i mean, you can literally come in through the border and you can fly at night with no if mask to any destination. americans can't do that. i mean, i have this short list i was going over that i literally have to put my if glasses on because it's just so glaring. i won't even get into what felt knoll's doing to this -- fentanyl's doing to this country. it's easier for an immigrant to get services. they were trying to go after the border patrol, the horsemen, saying that they were beating them with whips, and there was supposed to be this huge report that was going to expose all this, and it turns out it was nothing. and the administration didn't even take the time to apologize to the men and women on the

parody. alejandro mayorkas said you can't deport somebody just for being here illegally. you have to pose some other threat, which legalizes illegal immigration. and now we're learning that i.c.e. is letting some people with criminal records stay in this country and, oh, by the way, if you want to fly, you can use your arrest warrant as a form of id. so this is madness. and one of the biggest concerns is security. five people from syria were just deported at the southern -- were just caught, rather, at the southern border. why were they here? i'm pretty sure there are other countries with economic opportunity closer to syria than the united states. so to answer your question, charlie, the only thing that can happen is if they do a complete 180, start tightening our southern border. this administration is going to do none of that. >> right. just enforcing the laws that are on the books. emily, take a listen here to

administration that is, has politicized something like this that should be just a basic law enforcement issue, what happens to a society when a government picks and chooses the laws that they want to enforce? >> the complete breakdown in any type of security or modicum of law and order, which is what we're starting to see here. that's par for the course. i absolutely love that montage, but unfortunately, it is par for the course with her. all she cares about are the sound bites because crossing off the box, capitulating to a segment of the population that she thinks she's trying to please and she's accomplishing that, but he's utter -- she's utterly failing at taking one step further and accomplishing anything like border security despite her promises on the campaign trail that she would fix the immigration system and play a large part in gal vannizing congress to come to -- value -- galvanizing congress. as a former federal attorney, the impact of leadership, the impact of just slight leadership

can never if be overstated, and those guys' morale is so low, unfortunately, but it's easy to see why there. our elected officials, the appointmented leadership there, has utterly failed those men and women in uniform. and they're not wrong. how many times has this administration totally denied there's any type of crisis at the southern border. they downplayed the historic numbers of illegal immigrant crossings, of fentanyl seizures, illicit drug seizures in general, human smuggling, violent encounters between cartels and border patrol, and then we're the ones that are sort of called hyperbolic for saying that it is a crisis when 3 out of 4 americans call the southern border a crisis that needs to be addressed immediately. meanwhile, this administration continues calling it a fair and and humane approach. but if that were true, why are they flying people in the middle of the night in why are hay lying about it? >> yeah. >> exactly. tyrus, real quickly, what does this say about the leadership of the biden administration?

if alvin bragg releasing a statement reading in part: violence against police officers will never be tolerated. my office will vigorously prosecute cases of violence against police and work to prevent senseless acts like this are from ever happening again. so that is the statement from the district attorney but, tyrus, you look at the footage of these thousands of police officers stand ising shoulder to shoulder -- standing shoulder to shoulder outside for hours yesterday, it felt like a turning point, didn't it? >> of course it's a turning point. please forgive me, i get so emotional about this because he was 22 years old. this brother was one of the good ones. this is the police officer that you hope for. this is the one that you want to show up at your door to protect you and help you. and he was, he was gunned down, and they talk about we're going to prosecute to the fullest extent? it's not about the prosecution. it's not about the court trial, it's about protecting our officers when they're out there,

giving them things that they need, having more officers on the street. it just breaks my heart. every time i look at this kid, he was just promotedded to first grade detective. do you know how -- he's 22 years old. he was a star and he's gone. and the best you can come up is we're going to prosecute to the fullest? what about we're going to put more police on the street? is we're going to protect our officers? if we're going to get things going, we're going to make -- when you do things against police officer ares, this is no bail, you know? there is -- it's so hard to even put into words sometimes, and i'm really -- every time i look at this young man's face, my eyes water up because we always want to talk about the bad ones, and we always want to just go after them and all police are bad. he, his young life was snatched away, and it just breaks my heart. and you never -- you're not hearing the things that you need to be hearing from officials anymore. it's just, it's heartbreaking. >> it is absolutely heartbreaking. and the, his father, jason rivera are's father, a family

said right now he's a broken man in complete disbelief. and one of his childhood friends said that he was always smiling. like you said is, truly one of the good guys, and described him as the baby brother of the block. it seems like a tight-knit community that he lived in, and every single one of their lives will forever be changed. the person whose life may be changed the most in all of this is his wife. they just got married in october and, emily, i don't think that's what she said at the funeral can be aired enough. take a listen to her really powerful statement. standing up to power, talking directly to the district attorney. watch. >> the system continues to fail us. we are not safe anymore. not even the members of the service. i know you were tired of these laws, especially the ones from the new d.a. >> and one of the crimes, emily, that d.a. bragg initially said he wasn't going to percent was -- prosecute was resisting

arrest. now he's sort of softening his stance, but do you trust that? >> no, i don't, carley, and i had the honor of standing in that crowd in solidarity and showing my support for jason rivera, the officer, as well as the thousands of law enforcement that had turned up to show support for him and his family and all of us, right in representing every american that wished that they could be there. i was there. so i listened to her eulogy on the loud speakers outside, and everyone was crying. we were all crying on the streets, and we all started clapping in the church and outside. when she said, d.a. bragg, i hope you are listening to me. and for him to say we're doing all we can to work to prevent senseless acts like this from happening again, i don't know what that means. what that takes is preventing recidivism. it's not reclassifying crimes from felonies to misdemeanors so that you can keep these guys in jail. it means, it means not letting them out on these notions of bail reform that have real effects. we know there's a 16-year-old

right now loose on the street who was charged with shooting a cop. thank god it wasn't fatal, but he made his own bail, and he's out. that's under t.a. bragg's watch. -- d.a. bragg's watch. we absolutely cannot there will be follow through, but also a we seem to be speaking a different language, because from where i sit, it takes a lot more to support law enforcement, to get safety and order back on our streets. and it begins with him. i know the mayor's trying, but i also have to point out, you guys, that in the last year alone 60% skyrocket of officers that have been killed in the line of duty due to felonious acts. but the most disturbing category was ambushed -- ambushes. that category speaked -- spiked 300%. and officers rivera and mora were included in that on friday night. so i expect more and better. because while we were standing outside and everyone was mourning and grieving, i heard

sirens in the other part of the city, and i thought, you know what? while all these guys are showing up to support officer rivera, guys are also out there protecting us -- >> good point. without a doubt. we need people to show up for if us. and, you know, i'm so glad that you said that we expect more and better because lee zeldin, he's running for governor, and here he is on what needs to be done to stop this rise in crime. here are some of the ideas he laid off the watch this. laid out. >> we need to support law enforcement more, not less, pass a law enforcement bill of rights, repeal a new bill they signed calls less is more where they're releasing people early from prison. we immediate to pass the law enforcement bill of rights, recognize their right to self-defense, make sure they have all the tools and resources they needed to do their jobs safely and effectively, protect qualified immunity and so much more. >> charlie? >> you know, it's really great that the d.a. is now coming out

and reversing his position on violence against police officers. but the fact that he had to, that alone is absolutely astonishing. and, you know, the direct line that you can tie between the rhetoric of so many democrats over the last couple of years and the senseless acts of violence this these cities, in particular against police officers, those things can be turned directly into political ads, and they will be. and these democrat politicians will be held accountable. >> you're absolutely right. and all three of you made such great points. coming up next, could the g.o.a.t. really be gone? tom brady may be retire thing. just raising our family and kind of committing to be in a life in boston and moving to florida. it's, you know, it's a very difficult issue to reconcile without just saying, hey, it's time to retire. and i think there's, you know, we're coming to the end here too. so i don't want to miss any of the kids' tough. stuff. >> charlie, obviously, i'm having a very difficult time with this. >> carley, you know, besides tom brady's accomplishments, besides touching all of our hearts and minds if, i've heard that he's been referred to as as a saint. maybe if you could share one of your favorite tom brady moments. >> well, i've been listening to tom brady propaganda ever since i met my husband -- >> i'm sorry, what? >> he's a huge michigan fan so, i mean, tom brady is all that is in our household. and i like tom brady too. and i think the most impressive thing about him is his work ethic. i watched the tom v. tom documentary on -- it was a facebook dock you series on him. he'd always been in the nfl for, like, 20 years at the time, and he was still trying to perfect his throwing motion, just practice after practice during the off season. he would watch hours and hours of game footage, and he even said that sometimes he loses track are of time, like six hours in he's still watching game footage. and also the way he takes care of his body is insane with his

part of it came out of brady saying on a podcast that he was, quote, satisfied with his career. this is a guy who's never satisfied, to carley's point, and we know that giselle might be sort of the yoko eau no, right -- to no, right? she's spoken openly that she doesn't like seeing him get thrown around on the field. and note as well, this is an important statistic, he still has almost $25 million left on his contract. that's probably a drop in the bucket for how much the two of them make combined, but it might enable him to have some type of incentive -- [laughter] >> emily, thank you so much. i feel so much better. i was just playing, i knew he wasn't going to retire. i knew it was all fake news. that a americans care deeply about like law and order on our streets, mental health and awareness of our children, the southern border, afghanistan, the list goes on. >> yeah, no kidding. absolutely. and, you know, the thing that's so frustrating about the biden administration is when biden came in, the bar, it was so low for him. all he had to do was unify the country and don't screw things up. and then there's another thing. joe biden has been around for 50 years. he was a known quantity. i thought it was going to be impossible for him to, you know, when somebody, you know, the numbers are baked in when you've been around that long. and it's impossible for you to sort of, the bottom to drop out of your popularity numbers. somehow or another joe biden has managed to screw things up so badly that he has managed to do exactly that, and the numbers have dropped out. and then you see things like where he becomes unhinged at rallies or at speeches, and it

really sort of, it's very, it really does put people off, i think, and it puts supporters off more than anybodyelse. and, you know, you just go around and you can ask people, you can find dozens of people just walking down the street who voted for joe biden who doesn't like him or wouldn't vote for him again. i defy you to find a singling voter out there who didn't vote for joe biden and will -- and would vote for scwoa biden next time. you cannot find a single voter like that. >> that unicorn does not exist. [laughter] here's another example of someone who is disgusted just like the gentleman we played in the intro. carley, this is an mta worker from new york who blames biden for destroying the democratic accurate -- party. >> i've seen my party going in the if wrong direction, i am seeing joe biden going into, going into these dark realms making all of this stuff, all of this stuff that has no place in

schools, that has no place in society, that is how the party destroys itself. that is how liberals become so, so far over to the left that they become completely unrecognize if bl from what they used to be. i don't recognize where we're at anymore. >> same gentleman there, carley, mr. isaiah carter. he's not wrong as well. and to his point, that's what we've known all along, right? there's a lot of talk coming out of the progressive left, very little action or, if any action, it's frankly incompetent. >> yeah. i think it's clear that a lot of independents and some democrats think that the democratic party is just too liberal. this is something that a james carville talks about a lot. the progressive wing of the party is loud, they're energized, but they certainly don't represent a majority of democrats. so, yeah, it might have felt good to get the pat on the back from the environmentalists when president biden killed the

keystone xl pipeline, but look at what happened with gas prices. and then he goes to the social spending bill that couldn't pass because this country truly is evenly divided and so is the senate, and then he tries to play the race card and managed to anger everybody. if you're president biden, the only number that should matter to you is 32. that is his approval rating in pennsylvania. not virginia, pennsylvania, a state that he won in 2020. so i know that the president and the administration doesn't look at fox news for advice, but i really do think that they overestimated how progressive this country is. >> well, they should. and, tyrus, in addition to failing policies, a dearth of leadership and so much more, this president also has a really odd way of messaging. so let's watch an example of his creepy whispering that he likes to engage in during press conferences. >> $1.9 trillion relief so far. pay them more.
