there's not a huge amount of scientific debate over masks on children. masks don't appear to work or protect children. we do know they hurt children profoundly. at this point, the only debate left is not a a debate over science, it's about power. who is in charge of your children? is it to you the voters or is it unelected bureaucrats? are they really in charge? to be clear, this isn't about masks. those are the questions we are debating at this point. jenna davidson has artie made up her mind about these questions. davidson is an assistant principal at an elementary school. listen here she's threatens to have children arrest if they dare to show up without a mask. >> your children will be held in an end school restriction situation here at school. it is important that i point out to you as stated in the letter she will receive, that at they not allowed on campus or allowed

require masks. hit new york for example, the aqua knock elementary school sent letters to parents recently saying that they would be considered true and if they dared to show up to school without a mask. the state of new york, the parents of students can receive fines and prison terms. this show obtained a letter from the elementary school to the parents of a very young child and hold their "for the last week your child has arrived at school but refused to wear a mask. therefore has not been permitted to attend class or participate in other school activities." your child will no longer be able to attend school and must they a mask. if your child does not return to school, they will be considered truant. oh, so the child is punished either way. what you notice is that nowhere in the letter is there any scientific justification for these rules. because of course, there isn't one. it doesn't exist. there is a consensus now that mask mandates were children do not protect children or adults.
5:05 pm
to be clear, that's not a right-wing opinion. the "atlantic" magazine was default setting for two full years has been screaming covid hysteria just published a piece entitled, the case against masks at school. they know that masks have little benefit. today a team of scientists publish this op-ed. their conclusion, "with vaccines available, they are not necessary in school." they went on to explain that even in unvaccinated children, rates of serious disease from covid-19 are similar to that of the seasonal flu. and we do not normally take exceptional precautions and schools for the flu. for which we do not normally implement school mask mandates." you knew that. but they are finally admitting it. they reviewed the data on school masking and find that well-controlled the real world studies consistently failed to find a convincing benefit while study cited to support masking have serious flaws.
5:06 pm
once again, we've been telling you this for a year and a half. and now it's completely confirmed, there doesn't seem to be a debate about it. they don't benefit children, they actively harm children. long-term use of masks on children can inflict profound cognitive damage. again, you could've guessed this. one therapist in palm beach, florida, says her clinic has seen a three end at 64% increase in referrals of babies and toddlers. everything about this is shocking. but what is most shocking of all is that we are virtually alone in doing it. in other countries in the civilized world, kids are not required for masks in school. this is not a mystery. it is not a secret. there is no logic or data to support their position. when you don't have evidence or legitimate justification, you

5:08 pm
that is how you maintain control. take a look at this picture from oxford middle school in the state of connecticut. you can see students in a band playing instruments with masks over their faces. but even more ridiculous, and the instruments have masks. it is easy to laugh at this, but it's also horrifying. i think about the brainwashing required to do this with a straight face. other than the lunacy extending to adults, in florida, a free state most of the time, anyone who wants to check out a book from the library must have a mask on. so comply or you are not allowed to read. some people have medical exemptions where they don't have to wear a mask. they have copd for example. if you have a medical exemption, you don't get to read as many books. you have to make do with a much smaller selection of reading material. watch.
