all of america's chicken wings, ashley strohmier. 26% up, ground beef 13% up. snack and chips up 8.2%, beer up 4%. how worried are you about the chilling effect this will have on inflation, obviously, but markets as a whole. markets are not happy. >> brian: markets are not happy, we saw a bad consumer spending number in december, people say, i can't eat the costs anymore, change behavior. then you get stagflattion, stagnation. if you look at the numbers, they keep creeping us back toward the 70s, that is my concern. we need a radical rethink. the president needs to get out of the box he's in and think about getting people back to work and growth. it is time to turn around f. he doesn't, it will be too late

npr ignoring hunter biden, story that could have geopolitical ramifications, sending not one, not two, three reporters to talk about how the thumbs up emoji is racist. how does the woke mind come up with a story so insanely stupid and out of touch? >> joe: three reporters, i'm not mad, i'm impressed, talk about out of touch. you got to go 28 stories down on npr's home page to find a story on inflation being at a 40-year high. inflation hits another 40-year high, it is bad, but older folks have seen worse. fu were born before world war ii broke out, you would know it could be like the great depression. hunter biden was not reporting on that story, we don't want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories.

you. how is joe biden this tone deaf when so many of his fellow democrats are saying look, it's time to move on. >> i guess it's a tough call as we heard from joe biden there, todd. look, i have two young kids so this is pretty clear to he moo. this is called you don't want to admit defeat. i guess that's the only conclusion some of us can draw at this point. you look at the science. you just talked about the science there. the science has been very clear that there is a negligible effect on covid transmission from masking. we have known that for quite some time. it cass donald trump, don't forget, said the cure cannot be worse than the disease itself. he said that at the very beginning of covid. yet, here we are in this space where the impact of masking is actually so much worse than the current covid situation. you look at the impact on small businesses. so many aspects of our life. you take kids alone who were forced to wear these masks still in school and some places we know they can't concentrate.

they get headaches from wearing masks all day. young kids are having trouble speaking because they can't see the mouth of the teachers and adults socially it's impacted kids negatively. for those reasons alone. you ought to get rid of the mask and then you look, you guys just said it so many democrat governors across the country have gotten rid of the mask mandate. they are letting them lapse at this point. because they got the polling numbers. don't forget that this has nothing to do with what is good for the got the polling. people don't like being masked. only conclusion you can draw either the biden administration doesn't want to admit defeat or they don't want to give up control at this point over people's lives because they have had a lot of controls. either way you can put it in another category where all of joe biden's decisions have gone the wrong decision forward for america. >> speaking of won't accept defeat on this a new fox news poll, 2024 vote and election were today, 36% would reelect

who want the current president, joe biden to take a cognitive test. that is really alarming on so many levels. kamala harris' poll numbers are just about as low as can you go. hillary ekes out kamala harris just by a little bit. but hillary clinton is very unlikeable. again, she lost to donald trump in a recent head-to-head matchup against trump who so many people think and i won't break news here today will be the republican nominee in 2024. she performs very poorly. she does not win against donald trump it does say the democrats are in a desperate situation. they have made all the wrong decisions. americans feel the negative impact of their policies right now. life feels a lot harder for people since they have the house, the senate and the white house. and, you know what? they are in a little bit of a pickle as they head to 24. maybe they are banking on hillary again, drag her back up, folks, shake her off. maybe she'll be back again for 24. we will see.
