during that despite a court order giving them a midnight deadline to go home. the blockade is having a global impact in firing similar protests throughout the countries and others so-called freedom convoy in paris along the line. protesters are fighting restrictions there including vaccine pass for public places. outcry over a standoff and police earlier today in paris, officers fired tear gas at the crowds. live in ontario, canada, more on all of this, the truckers are still there. hi, alexis. >> the truckers are definitely so here, we have seen thousands more show up, people from across canada coming to show their support for the freedom convoy and canadians tell us the restrictions, it's about their freedom. they play along with the

ontario but you wouldn't think they are because people are out here like it's a tailgate party coming in from all over the place to try to talk about changing things here in canada. officials died protesters hefty fines and jail time. city leaders say local police do not have enough resources to stop the protest from growing. >> i do know we do not have the resources what we've been asked for at this time. personally i know the prime minister is under a great deal of pressure right now but i thought his comments were unfair. >> here on your screen, this is what the protesters are asking for. freedom convoy demands or terminate vaccine passports and contact tracing programs. terminate vaccine mandates and stop the divisive rhetoric.

still the crowds continue to grow and cities in the u.s. and canada are keeping a close eye on border crossings. so many of the bridges trying to increase and monitor the situation to see what would happen next. these are issues, everything is under control so far but the under state of emergency, things could change at any moment and pushing the people out. eric: canadians overwhelmingly support the mask mandate and 90% of the truckers are vaccinated already but clearly the truckers are staying put at least for now. molly: blockade causing serious problems for american businesses, automotive groups say $100 million in auto parts across the bridge everyday and without the supply major automakers gm, ford, they are forced to scale back reduction.

live on the u.s. side of the ambassador bridge in detroit bringing an update. >> but afternoon. this blockade is running quite the top. more than $300 million worth of goods crossing the bridge everyday we are now in the sixth day of the bridge being shut down. plans from ontario to alabama have been impacted by the shipping delays, canceling shifts are shutting down operations. most of the automakers have to work around the blockade and are close to full production but whether they get parts delivered by air or routes that are hours away, there addict costs has some time if the blockades continue, they will pass on to consumers. that doesn't go well if you are looking to buy a new car considering new buyers are the most expensive they've ever been. around $47000 which is 10000

underestimated them. i think he thought he was a lightweight and zelensky has stayed tough on intimidation, through all negotiations with the russians, he's never wavered one time on what the russians want, autonomy separated from the controls and influence of zelensky's government. he's not budge on any of it second, he's got people, their morale is pretty good, a mass exodus from the country, people are hoarding food here and there's no panic taking place in the face of all of this. zelensky has had time to cancel the united states about an invasion encounter the president. if the fact is, if he comes in and kills ukrainians which an invasion will do, i think it will significantly have these

ukrainians which is already pretty good, it will be a problem for years to come. the second risk he has, he's invading a sovereign independent nation for my second largest in europe. the international pushback in terms of putin's recitation will be significant. i do think -- as the strong man will diminish. the last thing is, biden does come through with this toughness on the sanctions, particularly going after russia's banks and cutting off foreign aid and the rest of it, there's no doubt if he fulfills that obligation that russia economy will suffer, people will suffer. these are risks putin has to be way on his considering, drive invade now because i don't have concessions, no concessions out of u.s. and nato do i take on

will be more forces along the border better focus on nato contingents on the major threat russia is presenting to them, the exact opposite of what he's trying to achieve. molly: united states u.s. citizens to get out and russia say the embassy to get out so do you think putin is going to move and? >> if he doesn't get concessions, i think it's likely you will conduct some kind of military operation. the information campaign is conducting about his own citizens leaving and particularly stepping down some of his embassy, what he saying is not a threat of russian invasion, he saying ukrainians are preparing to conduct military operations against russian separatists and as a result of that, he wants his

getting more when you go to work? >> i think there's going to be something go through tough times some will outperform. year-over-year, it seems like retail and hospitality and leisure which was hammered the most during the pandemic, there appreciation north of 15% and you see other places in the nervous his sector which hasn't really appreciated as much, they will get more. i don't think it will be a one shoe fits all, i think it will be some sectors doing better and others don't. my gut tells me the back half of the year will be more toward or% than tort seven and a half but that is still high. eric: hopefully we will get there. president reagan in the 80s, they cut spending and increased independence. you see any of this out of the fight from the democrats? >> i do and i am a big hope for
