behalf of her. it also shows the amount of distance that our elected officials have from the actual community themselves. all crimes committed, including the assault in the subway station were just steps away from the building. he was a menace to the community. the police did their job, kept arresting him repeatedly. it was the politicians, lax on crime policy that kept putting him on the street. the judge and politicians set the law in the city. >> carley: this criminal, this suspect, assamad nash, 25 years old, out on bail on all previous cases including assault case, three open cases in manhattan criminal court, arrested four times in the last year alone. you cared about christina yuna lee, you knew her, employed her. what is your response and

reflection on this horrific tragedy that occurred? >> well, first, i would just say that christina yuna lee was one of the nicest, genuine, hardest working, sweetest, most independent people that i've ever known and learning what happened to her was devastating and i think i'm still reeling from this tragedy. many of us can't believe this happened to christina yuna lee. it couldn't have happened to a nicer person. it is sickening, this -- how she was murdered and how brutal the crime was. how many times she was stabbed, how she was stalked, the whole scenario is just unfathomable. it is a tragedy of epic proportions and regardless of everything else, it is still

something that i think we're going to have to live with for the rest of our lives knowing that this could have been preventable and this guy certainly shouldn't have been on the streets for one reason or the other. >> carley: yeah. brian, how are your other tenants dealing with this, do they feel safe? >> a lot of us still can't sleep, to be honest. i've only slept about three hours in the last nearly three days now. the building is an active crime scene, the police have not released the building. it has been a nightmare. of course, our pain is -- pales in comparison to the family. i really just cannot imagine to have a child taken away like this. >> carley: brian, eric adams, mayor of new york, he is interested in fixing this crime issue, he wants to get guns off the street and change bail

reform laws. it looks like roadblocks are in the way and he'll not be able to do that. what do you think the future of new york city looks like? >> what i would say is as a community, right now, we are scared issue but also extremely angry, not only at this criminal, but at the system that has repeatedly failed us. we have high hopes for mayor adams, but have been failed by his district attorney bragg, since day one he announced his new lax-on-crime policy. my response to them, you need to enact much-needed reforms. we are tired of hearing our officials utter empty platitudes while enacting none of the reforms that need to take place f. they don't, good luck in the next election, because as a community, we are very, very angry. >> carley: as a community and

in terms of that area of low pressure moving into the central u.s., grabbing moist and you are interact with warm, unstable air and give threat for severe storms. this is wednesday into thursday, the colder side of this storm will bring measurable snow. so there is snow potential, looks like a bulls eye for parts of the central u.s. south of topeka, kansas. the severe threat and we could have severe weather outbreak wednesday into thursday, overnight conditions, make sure you have place to get your warnings, if you don't have the tv on, it is happening overnight. it is good wednesday and thursday. in the northeast, ahead of the system, pump up temperatures. things will get above average and looking ahead a couple weeks looks like much of the country will enjoy warmer temperatures, if you like that kind of thing. we can have storms in march. big winter storms.

stories of the day whether it's covid or this new story that we're learning about infiltrating trump servers. it's all about silencing the opposition. as opposed to beating them with better ideas. or more information. how did we get here as a country? >> well, this is typical democrat playbook 101. it's called gaslighting it seems that everything they accuse us of doing is actually things that they have done. and you are right about the silencing. you are right about the censorship. the shaming. that's all apparent. but more than that, it shows that their party is out of ideas. they don't have an agenda. they have to cheat to win, whether that's hillary clinton and what being accused of or whether that's through voter fraud or things of that nature. they can't just square up with us face to face and win on ideas. they have to resort to this. and the mainstream media is complicit in all of this. that, to me, is what is most frustrating. i don't expect the dnc or the democratic party to be
