"the new york times" and "the washington post" didn't report what was in those papers. instead they waited a few days. media like here at fox news and others have picked it up and were reporting on it vigorously. they publish stories that debunked it without ever really fully reporting on it. that's where we are. it's hugely revealing example of double standard that's existed

analyst say this new proposal has a dual benefit allow congress to say they are taking the moral high ground while eventually taking home more money the ban on congressional ownership from democratic senator elizabeth warren and steve daines would ban members of congress and their spouses from owning or trading individual stocks, bonds, and securities. they would also not be allowed to take part in things like hedge funds. but they could put money in mutual funds and other widely held investments and here's the thing. the proposal would require members to either sell off individual stocks or convert them to broad based investments. they would then defer capital gains taxes until they sold those new assets or investments. for example, the executive branch already has a capital gains deferral, and the "new york post" says in 2006, when hank paulson quit as ceo of

criminals, they roam, they rampage, they don't look like they care at all about the consequences. what kind of mentality has become so pervasive in this country? >> well, i think this is a case of the bad leading the mad. especially when you have these situations where it's a large group of people that are committing crimes in a group. you have got criminals who are taking advantage of individuals who are vulnerable, who lose their sense of self, who are in need. and essentially recruit them to commit crimes with them. and when they are in this place, there's less -- there is less consequences, right? and less risk of getting caught when a lot of people are committing crimes. and, listen, i don't doubt that there's a small handful percentage of people that are stealing because they need baby milk or formula like aoc said. but the vast majority of crime is committed by people who are actually bad. it really doesn't help explain the fact that the day that aoc did that interview. there was a stabbing in a woman's apartment in new york as

that jeff zucker brought with him from nbc over to cnn. they were involved in a romantic relationship, some say as far back as many, many years ago. after an internal investigation done with outside help from a judge and they reviewed about 100 text messages and emails and did 40 interviews, they found multiple violations of company policy by allison, by jeff zucker and by chris cuomo, your feelings on that? >> well, look, first of all, we have to put this in some context. i don't know why she didn't leave when cuomo and jeff zucker did. i mean, look, she was, let's remember, the communications director for andrew cuomo. the governor of new york and chris cuomo's brother. so it appears that when andrew cuomo was encountering all these problems, those women coming forward, charging sexual

malfeasance and then, of course, his covid record, those poor people in the nursing homes who were dying, it appears there may have been some collusion on the part of cuomo, jeff zucker, maybe miss gullis again. this is speculation but they may have had a hand in trying to shape some of the coverage that andrew cuomo was receiving. we'll see. and events will no doubt prove. i believe chris cuomo already has a lawsuit against cnn. that will no doubt bring all of this out in due time. and cnn was probably trying to get ahead of it by having ms. gullis leave and exit the scene. >> jesse: chris cuomo is asking for boat loads of dough. is he sunning himself in south florida as he awaits. >> jesse, it's interesting cnn in a statement they say we have the highest standards of

journalistic integrity at cnn. well, one would hope that they do rediscover the journalistic integrity that they were founded upon and maybe, in due course, properly cover all of these politicians, even when they're related to anchors or people within the cnn family. and that they cover truckers fairly, that they cover spying operations fairly, and that they give the american people all the information they need and what they have come to expect from a credible, news operation with the highest standards of journalistic integrity. we will see if that bears fruit. >> jesse: we will. we also have some new news tonight. the victim's family of alec baldwin, the woman who was hell lahna hutchen, her family has reenactment video of what that shooting looked like and it's very realistic and she is now in litigation with alec baldwin.

and i can't imagine how much pressure now baldwin is under after this. he seems to have wanted to just start his career again. he went to colorado, tried to do a movie opening there. but now when you see reenactment like this is going to make this even more painful. your reaction? >> well, first of all, it looks a little bit like a video game when you watch it. we have to remember this is a cgi reenactment of what the family is contending that this was the order of events. we don't know if this is the actual order of events. this is their recreation and this is part of a lawsuit, a wrongful death suit. so you have to put that in context. when you look at this video. and, look, let the investigation proceed. this is painful. certainly for this family. >> jesse: it's a very dramatic and accurate according to that legal team representation of what happens and we will follow it. thank you so much.
